I - Inside

Junhong was bored.

Today was Monday so that meant Umma was at work until the late afternoon and only Appa and Jello were home. The weather outside was grey and depressing. Rain was pouring from the clouds and the poor lawn outside was getting drenched.

Junhong frowned as he looked out the window. He really wanted to go outside and play but Appa said that he couldn't. When he asked why, Appa said that he could get sick if he played in the rain. If he got sick, then Umma would be worried!

Jello didn't want Umma to be worried, so he tried to find things to play with inside but he was really bored. Maybe Appa would want to play! Jello decided to find out himself.

The three and a half year old carefully trudged up the stairs of their house towards Appa's recording room. The door was slightly ajar and Jello knew that Appa was busy but he was really bored!

Junhong stood by the door and knocked just like Appa had showed him. He knew Appa would be mad if Jello just went in without permission. Jello didn’t want Appa to be mad.

"Come in, Jello." Jello heard Appa's deep voice say.

"Appa! What are you doing?" Jello ran into the room, where Appa was sitting on the big comfy chair behind the big computer, like always.

“I’m working on a song. Do you need something? Do you need to go potty?" Appa turned around in his chair and asked him.

"Can you please play with me? Please?" Junhong asked innocently.

"Not right now, Jello. Appa needs to finish this song." Jello pouted. Appa never wanted to play with him anymore!

"But you're always working!" Jello crossed his arms like he had seen Umma do when Umma got mad at Appa.

"Appa needs to make money so he can buy nice things for you and Umma." Jello was not convinced. All he wanted to do was to play with his Appa! Did his Appa not love him anymore? Jello’s eyes got a bit watery as he thought about how his Appa didn’t love him anymore. He looked down to avoid looking at his Appa.

"Ok fine. Once Appa is finished, he'll play with you. Just don’t cry." Jello kept staring at the floor.

"You promise?" Jello’s voice was so small that Yongguk almost didn’t hear him. 

"I promise." Jello looked up with a big smile.

“Ok Appa!” Jello laughed as he ran out of the room. Umma had taught him well.

Yongguk stayed there, shocked. His three year old son had just tricked him. Junhong was starting to turn into a mini version of Himchan. Who knows what Jello would be faking next?

Damn it, Himchan.
