Hey~ ( ^ 3 ^ )

So, after watching the drama "Reply 1997", I must say that this is the best drama I've watched so far. It was different from the other dramas I've watched and I could relate to the characters there like Siwon and Junhee. I loved everything about the drama. Its characters, the actors, and just everything about it.

Anyway, I do love the chemistry between Siwon(Eunji) and Yunjae(Seo In Guk). The two really looked so natural that they looked like a real couple. But what touched my heart was Junhee(Hoya), Yunjae's bestie and Siwon's friend. I could see that somehow, Yunjae felt really bad that he didn't notice that his best friend had feelings for him.

Hihi~ So back to what my fanfic is about. I've decided to start the story on the part where Junhee's moving out and Yunjae's hugging him from behind via the last episode of the drama.

WARNING: If you don't like slash pairings, please leave now. XD Well, if you're interested then go right ahead. Actually, what I like about this otp is that Junhee was depicted as a well-mannered man who harbored pure feelings for Yunjae that he would accept the red thread of fate doesn't lead to Yunjae. And Yunjae'a the kind who values his friends and accepted Junhee even though he knew about those secret feelings. Also, I don't hate any canon or otps in the drama, I just like this one better~ ^^

All right, I write ooc's waaaay too much, so without further ado, let us begin~

Note: POV's would change from chapter. For this one, I would do Junhee's and I would be time skipping a lot with a lot of **** (*^^*) I would also be using some Korean terms and such, but I'm sure you can follow~

1. Why Friendships Last Longer

I was actually preventing myself from crying. My first love, stood behind me with his arms wrapped around my shoulders. He said that we should have dinner tonight. Just the two of us. I didn't know what he looked like while he spoke, but I could tell that he sounded sad. And it almost felt like he knew how I felt about him.

"Yeah, but are we gonna go out?" I asked him as I turned around to face him in order for him to avoid any feeling of awkwardness from me.

"Nope, we're gonna eat at your new place." Yunjae said to me with his usual smirk.

"Should I tell Siwon and the others to come too?"

He shook his head a bit, "No way, only us best friends are gonna hang out. Let's just hang out with the others some other time."

"If you insist." I sighed out.

I started to reach for the door knob after turning away from him. "See you later." I said smiling at him as I opened the door.

"Later." He replied, waving his hand at my direction as he held out a grin.

Seeing that smile of his, I still felt my heart skip a beat. After one last look, I headed out and closed the door behind me.

I just came home to my new place from my shift at the hospital. As usual, I felt tired but thank goodness I overcame my fear of blood or else I'd feel lethargic every single day in the hospital.

I went to my room and changed into something comfortable. I decided to wear my usual white shirt and jogging pants. Remembering that my best friend would come and eat dinner here, I rushed to the kitchen and wore my white apron hanging by the doorway. I looked inside the fridge and to my luck, I had fresh salmon I bought from the market this morning, and I also have a sack of rice my sister gave this afternoon. Since it's Yunjae's favorite, I'll make sashimi and sushi for dinner. I'll throw in ramyeon too.

After a few minutes, I had already finished making the sushi and sashimi. All's left was the ramyeon, so I started to boil water. While making the ramyeon, the door bell rang.

"Coming." I yelled out, rushing to the door as quickly as I could. Opening the door, Yunjae greeted me with a wide smile.

"I thought I smell something fishy in here." He chuckled as he looked behind me, spotting a plate of sashimi and sushi on top of the dining table a few meters from where we were.

I nodded, moving out of his way as he entered my apartment. "Yeah, I made some since I remembered buying salmon this morning and I'm also making ramyeon at the moment."

"Looks like I'll be full tonight, anyways, I've brought dessert. Chocolate cake." He said, handingthe brown paper bag in front of me.

I held it and placed it on top of the table, speaking to him as I remained smiling, "Wow, I was expecting Soju, but cake's nice too."

Yunjae let out a small laugh, staring at me while smirking, "Aigoo, are you turning into a drunkard, Junhee-ah?"

"Of course not, though I just thought that a sip of it would be nice tonight." I responded, softly smiling as I made my way back to the kitchen.

He followed me and stood behind as I mixed the ramyeon into the boiling water. "Don't forget to put it some eggs, okay?" He said as he leaned closer to my ear, patting my shoulder.

I sighed, nodding at him. I got used to him doing that, so it's nothing new, "Sure. You can just sit there quietly, okay?"

"All right " He uttered, giving my shoulder one last pat before walking away.

I continued with my business while he sat there by the dining table, opening the brown paper bag be brought. I glanced at him for a few moments, seeing that he opened the box of chocolate cake from the brown paper bag. It looked really good. I went back to cooking and after a short while, the two of us were already at the table.

Yunjae happily exclaimed before picking up his chopsticks, "Thanks for the food!"

"Eat well." I simply answered, picking up my chopsticks as well. It was really nice seeing him gobble down the food I prepared.

 As we ate, Yunjae started to talk after swallowing the sashimi inside his mouth, "Why are you always good in everything?"

 "Well, I'm not actually."

"Really now, you can play sports, get high grades, and cook good food."

"But you can do these as well, right?"

He shook his head firmly, replying with a pouting face, "Studying and sports yeah, but cooking, no way."

I just laughed, continuing to eat ramyeon, and then replied to him after swallowing, "Aha, so that's why you're having dinner with me."

"What?"

"It's either that or you have no money."

He extended his arm and reached for my nose, giving it a pinch. It was a bit painful, but it's nothing I can handle. "Ya, I'm having dinner with you not because of those ridiculous reasons!" He said in a loud manner, continuing to slurp the noodles of the ramyeon after darting his eyes at me.

I couldn't help but let out a small laugh as I spoke, rubbing my nose as it was swelling a bit, "I'm kidding, Yunjae."

"I knew that." He uttered under his breath as he chewed his food, looking at the other way.

After a few moments, we started to eat the cake he brought. It was rather delicious with just the right amount of sweetness.

"It's really good." I said to him as I chewed.

He smiled, speaking after chewing his, "It better be. It cost me around 16,000 won."

"That's daebak..."

"Yeah, it is."

We ate quietly once again, just hearing the sound of our forks hitting the plate as we ate our dessert. Breaking the silence, my phone began to ring in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw that Siwon was the one calling me.

I looked up at Yunjae with a smirk, speaking slowly as I showed him my phone, letting him know that his girl was calling me, "It's Siwon-ah."

"Aissh, I already told her that only us bros are gonna hang out together tonight." He grunted after seeing Siwon's name from my cellpone and then continued to eat cake, almost like his gobbling it up every second.

"It's normal for a person to worry over someone she cares about." I said calmly, standing up from my seat, adding before I headed towards the couch to talk to my dear friend, "I'll just talk to her for a while, okay?"

Yunjae just stared at my direction while some of the crumbs from the cake were around his lips. I sat down, answering the call in my usual manner, "Ah, Siwon-ah."

"Yah, Yunjae's with you right now right? If not, I'm going to break him when I see him!"

I let out a small laugh after hearing her answer with her angry vouce echoing from the speaker, "Don't worry, he's with me."

"Well, that's good..."

"You worry too much, Siwon. You should get some rest and try not to drink so much when Yunjae's not around."

"Now, you worry too much. I'll be fine, plus I'm not even drinking now. I'm currently working while in bed and I've already drank two cups of coffee..."

"Don't overwork yourself or do you want me to take care of you at the hospital?"

"I won't, I just need to submit these first thing tomorrow... Anyways, see ya soon and tell Yunjae to go straight home after, all right?"

I replied after taking a deep breath, "I will and see you soon too."

After hanging up and placing my phone back to my pocket, I turned to Yunjae who was already done eating. He was just staring at my direction as he drank water. "What did she say?" He finally said, standing up and walking towards the sofa I was sitting in.

"She said that you should go straight home after seeing me. I'm worried that she might be overworking herself tonight." I sighed out as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Ah, her deadline's tomorrow... That girl didn't change one bit." He groaned, leaning back to the sofa with his hands behind his head. 

I grinned, adding, "She never did."

Before we could talk about something else, the door bell rang.

A short 1st chapter due to finals week... OTL

This is my first slash fanfiction/story ever, probably because I really felt pain from Junhee's point of view and yeah, you know my point.

Also, I'd like you guys to know that I'm not a fan of gays being portrayed for laughs in dramas, which is why I liked Reply 1997~ :3

On the side, I attached photo of the Reply 1997 main cast... Hihi, I'll just be unveiling a new character soon~ ;3
