June 28, 2013 (part 1) “I love you, oppa.” Sungmin couldn’t stop replaying these four words in his head for the past couple of weeks. (and also the last time he had seen her. Though on occasions, they’d text and chat and even call each other) These words were just words you can just memorize not because of its length, but by its relevance. It’s the kind of statement that you’d like hearing over and over again without getting tired and sick of it. For the past two weeks, Sungmin had extra bounce – you can easily see that by the aura he emanates. With a smile on his face, (that showcases his pearly whites) he wraps up his musical show night by night – not even caring about how tired he is. Even with a problem on his knee, you will see him gliding and skipping (sometimes limping) along the hallway. No matter how deprived he is of sleep, he never loses his oomph. Maybe it was the law of interaction? That in every action, there is a corresponding reaction. That he acted to make Sunny answer him yes and the reaction was Sunny actually answering him yes back. Oh the humour of life. “I love you, oppa.” Did he really hear it right? It seemed unbelievable to him how much courage he summoned just to get her to say exactly those words. Or maybe it was the law of gravity? Or free fall? That now she caught him while he was falling, for her, all this time. This time, they can fall madly in love with each other. “I love you, oppa.” How sweet they were to hear. It is the paradox of his ears to listen to the same statement but feels totally different every time. Or maybe it was the law of inertia? That when he pushed up all his anxieties while looking in her eyes, he was pulled to taste her inviting lips. “I love you, oppa.” Nothing in this world can be as sweet as her lips. He’d stand up for that not that he’s willing to let them taste her lips. Oh, her lips. Every curve and every line in her lips matches his – like they were made for each other. Or maybe it was just the law of love? That you take the amount of love you exactly give. If that is the case, then he can’t agree to that. Why? It’s because no man can break his love for her.
