Chapter 18-It's Not Impossible
One Story, Three Endings
Tamaki’s POV:
“Ne, Tama-chan…! Haru-chan said she can’t come today. She said she’s going to have a test for tomorrow. Hey, then that means you both have a test! Aren’t you going to study?” Honey poked me.
“I already studied. Awww…and I was going to play the piano for her today…” I said sitting down on a chair and picking up a manga.
Honey smiled. “Awww…! Tama-chan! You like her…” I stood up quickly. “B-Baka Honey-senpai…”
“But you are going to play the piano for her. You told me you would only play the piano for people you really really really liked!” Honey declared.
…
“It’s just a congratulations for her being on the club and…and being able to acquire the great reader badge on her second day in this room…and acquiring 3 more badges the past weeks.”
“But Tama-chan, even though the other members of the club acquired their first badge on the second day, you didn’t play for them. Well, I won’t disagree, we’ve been with Haru-chan for quite some time now, and she really is kawaii… I can’t blame you for starting to have feelings for her. Aww Tama-chan…! You’re starting to blush!!!”
Haruhi’s (You) POV:
The test results came. Yes, even though I have started to read a lot of manga, my grades are still consistent…
I better head to the club. I stepped out of the classroom and I walked down the hallway. Suddenly, a hand grabbed my left arm. I turned and saw Hikaru, panting. “Hikaru?”
“F-Fujioka…m-matte…” He said slowly. “Be-Before…you go…can I talk…with you?”
I nodded.
“I…I liked you for a very long time!” He said without hesitation.
“H-Hikaru…”
“That’s the reason I transferred here…” He suddenly looked embarrassed. “Hikaru, I…” I tried to come up with something good to say. He smiled. “It’s okay. I know. I’m still your best friend right?” I almost cried. “Arigato Hikaru.” I hugged him and headed to the club.
I opened the door. No one was inside, except for Honey-senpai and…
“Haruhi!” Tamaki cried. He was sitting in front of a piano. “Haru-chan!” Honey-senpai said and tapped the empty chair beside him. I sat next to him and Tamaki played.
He’s an idiot, but his music…is really wonderful.
The beautiful music surrounded the whole room. I felt like we were in a big empty orchestra. But, it’s not really empty, is it?
Honey and I kept on clapping. Tamaki went closer to us and gave me a red rose. “Arigato Miss Fujioka Haruhi, for staying with us.” He winked.
I don’t regret joining this club. I don’t care if the three of us continue to be like this until we all graduate.
I just smiled to myself.
But inside I’m slightly annoyed because I said that it is impossible for me to fall in love with an idiot like him…which is not impossible after all.
