N sighed in defeat. He had tried calling for countless time since morning, in hope that he could at least clear things up, but he guessed she was still made at him to not answer his call.

"Give up hyung," Hongbin said. "You screwed up this time."

N ruffled his own hair in frustration.

"Last time you said you didn't know how she felt towards you," Ravi said. "What kind of excuse do you have now?"

N looked at his phone. He knew what Ravi was saying. 

"I am an idiot," N said through his teeth.

Ravi smirked. "It's a bit too late to realize that, hyung."

Eunyoung pulled up her scarf to her nose. Although spring is near, the weather is still cold. She put her both hands in the pockets of her coat and walked across the street. 

She didn't have work, so she decided to take a walk to town the first thing in the morning. Since it was still a weekday, the streets were less crowded than usual. 

She used to stroll around town before she was busy dancing on stage. She remembered she used to love visiting a coffee shop because they serve delicious-looking cake. She never really tried one before because she had to maintain her weight.

Unconciously, she found herself walking towards that very coffee shop. She sighed. Since she was here, why not just eat it? Besides, she wasn't in the mood to maintain her weight. 

"Eunyoung?" 

She turned around upon hearing her name being called.

"Oh?" It was Kevin.

"I don't see you around here often," Kevin said when both of them decided to catch up in Eunyoung's favorite coffee shop.

"I am just talking a walk today," she replied. "You are here often? Alone?"

Kevin nodded. "My dorm is nearby actually."

Eunyoung picked up her fork and sliced it through her dark chocolate cake. 

"So, I've heard about you and Hakyeon," Kevin started. "...dating?"

Eunyoung swallowed her cake. "Oppa, you probably know Hakyeon oppa better than me. Is he an idiot?"

Kevin was dumbfounded by her sudden question. "Wait what? Don't tell me you guys got into a fight?"

"It was worst than a fight."

Kevin laughed when Eunyoung told him, rather excitedly, that she threw the shell hard at N's head.

"I apologized of course! Even though I was angry, I have my manners. Especially that I am recorded for national television!"

Kevin calmed himself down and took a sip of his coffee. "But seriously, that Cha Hakyeon..." 

Kevin, himself, couldn't believe N would dump Eunyoung again in front of so many people. However, it was true that Kevin knew N better than Eunyoung. And he knew that N wasn't really like that at all.

"Give him some time," Kevin said. 

N stood awkwardly outside of Two X's waiting room. He was battling back and forth in his mind whether to knock the door and confront Eunyoung. But then, he knew that when he see Eunyoung, he wouldn't know how to react.

He is an idiot, after all.

He turned around and walked back towards his waiting room.

"Oh? N?" A familiar voice called out behind him.

"Oh hey, Ellin," N greeted the blonde idol. 

Ellin looked at where N was coming from. "Did you talk with Eunyoung?"

N rubbed the back of neck. "Not really."

Ellin pulled up both her sleeves. "Let me talk to her then."

"No! No! You, don't go anywhere!" N got hold of her. "Let me handle it. It's between me and her anyway."

Ellin sighed. "Well, I do feel bad since I am somewhat the cause of the fight."

"It's alright," N said. 

Just then, N heard the opening of a door. Two X's waiting room's door. He turned to meet Eunyoung in the eyes.

N thought for a second Eunyoung would break down and cry again, seeing that he is with Ellin. But, Eunyoung just smiled, greeted Ellin and him and walked away, as if nothing has happened.

The distance between them had grown too far.
