"Youngmi?" Myungsoo pointed to the small girl by his side. She nodded eagerly.

"Youngmi?" Myungsoo pointed in the direction that the older woman had disappeared. The small girl shook her head fervently.

"Youngmi." She pointed to herself, and smiled at Myungsoo brightly.

"Ahhhh..." Myungsoo realised that Sungyeol hadn't been talking about a potential partner in life, but about the child, who was...

"Who is she?" Myungsoo turned to face Sungyeol. The boy clapped a hand to his forehead, and resisted the urge to roll his eyes at his confused friend's question.

"Youngmi! She's Youngmi! I thought we'd established that." Sungyeol gestured violently to the little girl, and Myungsoo leaned forward to grab his hands to still them, in case the child got scared by the flapping boy.

"Yeah. I know. But who's she to you?" Myungsoo clarified himself, and wondered how he seemed to only sound like a weird jealous crush-ee around Sungyeol.

Sungyeol laughed. "Youngmi's my cousin."

Myungsoo found his face cracking into a smile so big he wondered how it fit into the small space that his mouth occupied. "So you aren't dating her--" Myungsoo waved his hand in the direction that the woman disappeared in, at a loss for how he should address her. 'That woman' just sounded too off-handed, and impolite.

Myungsoo watched Sungyeol gape at him, mouth hanging open in a disgusted 'O'. "Eww. Gross. She's my Aunt, bonehead!" Sungyeol emphasised the word 'Aunt' with a light whack to Myungsoo's arm.

"Well--she was kinda hot for her age, and I simply assumed..." Myungsoo trailed off, and kept his eyes on the ground, embarrassed by his stupid mistake. He briefly rememebered Sungyeol saying something about kids that morning, but he'd stopped listenting after Sungyeol had mentioned liking Youngmi alot, and Myungsoo guessed he'd been carried away by his own thought processes.

"Hot." Sungyeol looked strangely uncertain at Myungsoo, who tried to read his expression, and failed. "You like older women?"

So. Sungyeol had jumped to the same conclusion as he had that morning. Myungsoo waved his hands so fast in the air that they became two flesh-coloured blurs.

"Nonono. I like..." Myungsoo trailed off, trying to think of something to say, and only ended up staring at Sungyeol, which was just weird. Their eyes met for a while, and Myungsoo wanted to hold the boy's gaze for just a while longer...

"Younger girls?" The small hand was tugging at the hem of his shirt again.

Myungsoo broke the eye contact with Sungyeol at long last, and looked down at the kid.

"Sorry?" Myungsoo raised one eyebrow, not comprehending.

"Younger girls." The child batted her eyelashes in what was probably supposed to be an attractive, or seductive manner. "Do you like younger girls?"

"Uhh..." Once again, Myungsoo was at a loss for how to reply the little girl. Maybe the knack to render him speechless ran in the family.

Sungyeol hurriedly placed himself in between Myungsoo and the girl, as if to shield Myungsoo from harm or something. The little girl peeked out from behind Sungyeol, to stare, almost enraptured, at Myungsoo. She smiled.

"No, he does not..." Sungyeol was saying, but the child didn't seem to be listening. Yet another trait that seemed to run in Sungyeol's family, Myungsoo mused to himself, looking amusedly from one cousin to the next.

"What's his name?" Youngmi pointed a small finger at Myungsoo. Sungyeol stopped his lengthy explaination of how Myungsoo wasn't a e.

Myungsoo crouched down, so his eyes were level with Youngmi's. He smiled at her. "I'm Myungsoo." said Myungsoo.

"Myungsoo..." Youngmi tried the name out on her tongue, and from the looks of her smile lighting up her face, she liked it. "Well..." She paused, as if to consider hefty life-threatening problems the universe faced, "I like you, Myungsoo. Can you be my boyfriend?"

Sungyeol looked like he was going to be sick, or kill someone. Maybe both.

"No, he will not be your boyfriend..." Sungyeol spluttered outrageously, but Myungsoo was already pretending to consider the request with an air of mock seriousness.

"For one day. I will be your boyfriend for one day." Myungsoo decided. Then looked up and saw how terrible the face Sungyeol had made looked. And decided to have some fun.

Myungsoo straightened, and laced Youngmi's small fingers with his own, and confessed in a loud, pretend-whisper, "I like you too."

He led Youngmi to the bustop, still holding hands with her, and Sungyeol following them every step of the way, whacking Myungsoo on the back, and muttering ominously about crib-snatchers, and erts, and es, and misleading appearances.

"But!" Sungyeol tried again weakly, fussing behind the new 'couple', "you can't like her..."

"Ice-skating's a dangerous sport." Myungsoo objected, looking down at their charge for the day. Youngmi smiled up at him. "One day of looking after..." Myungsoo was about to say 'a kid', but he didn't think Youngmi would appreciate that lable (and Myungsoo felt like he should be sensitive to the feelings of his girlfriend-for-a-day), "...Youngmi, and you choose a dangerous activity to pass the time." Myungsoo couldn't help, but add sarcastically :"Brilliant."

"But--" Sungyeol pouted, and was about to defend himself, when Youngmi spoke up.

"I know how to skate, Myungsoo oppa! I take lessons!" Youngmi gestured to herself proudly.

Sungyeol winced at the way she called Myungsoo her oppa.

"I just don't want my girlfriend to get hurt..." Myungsoo smiled affectionately down at the small girl, whom he was growing fond of (not in that sense though. Eww.)

Sungyeol fanned the air vigorously, as if to wave Myungsoo's last comment away, and disperse the words.

"Myungsoo..." Sungyeol whined. Myungsoo only smiled innocently at him, enjoying the weird faces Sungyeol managed to come up with. It amazed him how well the boy was able to contort his face, to be quite frank.

"We'll go skating." Youngmi decided for the two hesitating older boys.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Oh. No." Myungsoo smiled uncomfortably at the girl behind the counter at the outdoor ice-skating rink Sungyeol had checked out on the internet before Myungsoo had woken up that morning, "I'm not skating."

The girl just chewed her gum, and stared at them, seeming so bored that she appeared almost lifeless. Myungsoo pitied her, almost.

"Nope. You're skating with us." Sungyeol added to the bills Myungsoo had slid across the table, to rent Myungsoo a pair of skates too. Youngmi nodded, and Myungsoo noted that this was about the second time the cousins had agreed with each other, the first time being when they'd established which female the name 'Youngmi' belonged to.

"Sungyeol!" Myungsoo clutched the slightly damp, rather foul smelling skates in one hand, and clutched at the arm of his best friend with the other. "I don't know how to skate..." he shook Sungyeol's arm desperately.

"I don't either," Sungyeol informed him enthusiastically, and Myungsoo groaned.

"I'm going to fall over, and break every bone in my body, and die." Myungsoo sat down, and turned his face towards the sky.

"No you're not, silly oppa!" Youngmi had already gotten into her boots, and laced them up. Myungsoo couldn't help but feel impressed. Myungsoo looked at the laces on his own boots, and tried his best to figure them out. Sungyeol was done soon afterwards, laces all haphazardly done up and tied securely. Myungsoo tried stuffing one foot into the boot, and winced. The boots were hellishly uncomfortable.

"Remind me again why I'm doing this?" Myungsoo managed to tie his laced up somehow, and wobbled to join Sungyeol and Youngmi, who were waiting for him just at the entrance of the ice. Hell--he could barely balance in the boots on dry land. How he was going to survive on the ice baffled Myungsoo.

"I'm going to die." Myungsoo announced to Sungyeol, who merely smiled back at him with Youngmi by his side.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Oppa! Like this!" Youngmi moved her legs outwards diagonally, bending her legs, and moving like a pro in general. If Myungsoo was impressed by how fast the kid had put on her boots, he was now blown away by how effortlessly she moved on the slippery, treacherous surface people called ice. All Myungsoo had accomplished when he'd finally gathered the courage to enter the rink, was to slip, and fall smack on his bum, and have Sungyeol laugh so hard that the boy stumbled, and nearly fell too.

Myungsoo managed to get to his feet painfully, and clung onto the sides of the rink for dear life. He didn't even dare to brush the ice off the seat of his jeans--he was too scared of overbalancing again, and finding himself sprawled out on the ice once more.

Youngmi and Sungyeol were pushed along with the current of people skating around the rink (neither of Myungsoo's companions needed a death-grip on the edge of the rink), and soon the boy found himself alone. Which was just wonderful. Myungsoo could now sympathise with a shipwreaked sailor. He watched Sungyeol flap about on the ice across the rink, looking almost as if he were marching. It amazed Myungsoo how Sungyeol had the courage to skate (or skid awkwardly) about the rink, without fearing falling down. Sungyeol didn't even appear to feel the need ot slow down, it seemed, as Myungsoo watched the crazy guy speed up, and career into a group of teenage girls (high-pitched, screaming chaos ensued), and Myungsoo winced. But the boy got up almost immeadiately and continued skating.

"Nuts..." Myungsoo muttered.

He watched Sungyeol make his way ungaily towards him, and had to smile, at how the boy's arms flailed about to help him keep balance, and how the boy only looked at him when he skated towards Myungsoo (crashing into countless people as a result). Myungsoo's smile faded, when he realised that Sungyeol was getting closer, and cloer, and wasn't showing any signs of stopping, or even slowing down, and....

"Wham!"

Sungyeol rammed into Myungsoo in an almost-hug, chin fitting over the boy's shoulder, arms wrapping themselves around his torso. they teetered like that for a while, and then lost their balance, and crashed to the ice, both of them lying stunned for a while.

"Ow..." Myungsoo muttered, when he'd found his breath again (that had been knocked out, when Sungyeol had flown into him).

"You alright?" Sungyeol turned his head, so that he could just about see Myungsoo lying on the ice next to him.

"I told you this was a dangerous sport..." Myungsoo muttered to himself. A small shadow blocked the winter sunshine from their faces, and both boys groaned or grunted in greeting.

"Oppas..." Youngmi scratched her head, then shook it tragically. She reached out a hand, and helped Myungsoo up. "Are you okay, Myungsoo oppa?" She dusted him down (whatever she could reach), and inspected him carefully.

"I'm fine.." Myungsoo rubbed the currently wet seat of his pants. "I think..."

Youngmi laughed, as if Myungsoo's reply was the funniest thing in the world. "I'll hold your hand if you want, oppa, I won't let you fall." Before Myungsoo could respond, he found his fingers entwined with Youngmi's once again. Youngmi looked at Sungyeol, who had just gotten to his feet unaided.

"Here," Youngmi stuck out her other hand generously for Sungyeol to take.

"Gee, thanks, kiddo." Sungyeol said, half-smiling.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Youngmi?!" Myungsoo finally managed to get his mouth to do something useful after it's been agape in a silent scream of terror, as Youngmi dragged her oppas around the rink at break-neck speed. Well. Probably not break-neck speed, but Myungsoo was about to wet himself, because the girl was dragging him around way too fast, and Myungsoo felt like he was going out of control.

"Youngmiiiiii!!!!" Sungyeol screamed on the little girl's other side, "Fasterrrrrrr!!!"

And she obliged. And nearly gave Myungsoo a heart attack.

"Nonononononono..." Myungsoo's voice came out in a breathless rush, and neither Youngmi, not Sungyeol seemed to pay attention to him. So all Myungsoo could do was hang onto Youngmi's hand tight, and hope he'd live to see tomorrow. He didn't even bother looking at the people on the rink smiling at the three of them, with whispers of 'so cute'. He realised just how ridiculous they looked--a tiny three year old kid dragging two screaming teenagers behind her on a rink, one of which was shouting in horror, and the other in delight.

Then Youngmi turned a corner too fast, and had to let go of her oppas' hands to avoid bashing them into the wall and a large group of people, and both boys went spinning out of control, and collided again, and Myungsoo landed on fours above Sungyeol (he didn't want to hurt the boy).

"Ow..." Sungyeol muttered, blinking once or twice. Myungsoo noticed how long his lashes were, how pretty his eyes were.

"You alright?" Myungsoo realised how close their faces were, and sat up so fast the blood rushed from his face, and splotches of colour covered his vision momentarily. Then he realised that his hand had landed on Sungyeol's and he removed it, with an awkward, apologetic sound made at the back of his throat. It kind of sounded like a dying whale to Myungsoo. He watched Sungyeol's fingers twitch.

Something tugged at the hem of his shirt. Myungsoo glanced to one side, to find Youngmi crouched next to him on the ice, a huge smile on her face. She didn't look apologetic, but Myungsoo didn't really mind.

"Myungsoo oppa," She began, and her eyes became little crescents that gleamed with happiness, "You're fired."

"Sorry?" Myungsoo raised an eyebrow, not comprehending.

"My boyfriend. You're fired as my boyfriend." She laughed, a high-pitched, gurgling sound, "You're Sungyeol oppa's boyfriend."

"Sorry?" Myungsoo's other eyebrow flew up.

"Myungsoo oppa and Sungyeol oppa..." The little girl mused to herself. It seemed she'd stopped listening to Myungsoo.

"Myung...Yeol...?" She smiled, pleased with herself.

"Myungyeol! I like Myungyeol!!"
