JESSICA’S POV

“i can’t believe you’re really moving to America” Yuri said while helping me with my stuff, “yeah unnie.. i hate how i have to let go 2 of my best friends in one week” Seohyun said and i hug her, “i’m really sorry guys, i’m sorry i told you in such short notice but everything is.. Unplanned” i said, “oh and since when do you want to be a singer?” Yuri ask and i chuckled, “since.. forever?” i said “how come we never know?” she said

“well.. it use to be my biggest dream when i was still in America, when i dated Taecyeon. We both love music and i decided i wanted to be a singer and Taecyeon wanted to own a music company of his own. We started working together building our future together but ... Mine was just too hard, i mean becoming a singer is not an easy thing to achieve, i started to lose hopes and i decided to move back to Korea.. and left him” i said “so that’s the reason you broke up?” Seohyun ask and i nodded, “we thought long distance relationship is just.. wasting our time so we decided to gave everything up.. well i decided that not him. I also decided to throw away my dream of becoming a singer but i guess it still lingers in my heart somehow so.. now i’m going to fight for it” i said, “but unnie.. now that you and Taecyeon oppa are not apart anymore.. do you think you and him are gonna..” she said and i shook my head “i don’t know Seo.. i don’t... know”

“is this about Taeyeon? I mean, have you told her about this?” Yuri ask and i look at her

i clear my throat, “if you guys are done with the box, let’s grab a bite.. my treat” i said avoiding the conversation and left the room

“i heard the chocolate lava cake here is amazing” Yuri said, “go order some dessert, i’m still on my diet i just grab a few bites from yours” i said and i open my bag to take my wallet but it’s not there, i keep digging in my bag “looking for something unnie?” i look at Seohyun, “my wallet, it’s gotta be here i never takes it out” i said and i remember the bag i’m using is the new one and my wallet  still in my other bag, i slap my own forehead “it’s in the apartment..” i said

“no worries we can pay this and you can buy us something else” Yuri said, “no no it’s fine, i can go back to my apartment it’s just 3 blocks away.. you go have some dessert, i’ll be right back” i said and walk out the cafe

i arrive at my building and walk to the third floor where my apartment is located, i walk along the hallway and i see someone standing in front of my door, i keep walking closer and stop behind her

“Taeyeon..” i whisper but she turn around and widen her eyes, “what do you thin you’re doing he- -“ before i finish she walk up and hug me tight, i was shock but i just stand there and didn’t hug back “you’re still here” she said, i push her slowly and wrinkled my forehead “what are you talking about?”

“you said you’re leaving to America and i thought you already left but.. here you are” “i’m really happy sica.. what makes you stay?” she said and i sigh, “nothing because.. i’m not staying” “but.. but you- -“ “i just delay my flight until the end of this month” i said

“the end of this month is.. next week?!” she said and i nodded, “no... no you can’t, you can’t go, you can’t leave me you- -“

“what are you really doing here Taeyeon? Safe your breath because whatever you say won’t make me change my mind.. i’m leaving, and that’s what you should be doing too right now” i said and walk in my apartment

i grab my bag and take the wallet inside, i take a deep breath before i open the door and walk out. She’s still there. we’re looking at each other for seconds until i walk away but she grab my arm

“Jessica please..”

“i’m ignoring you right now, leave me alone” i said but her grip gets tighter, “you’re hurting me right now.. Haven’t you done that enough?!” i said and i turn around and look at her, “i’m sorry.. i just don’t wanna let you go” she said, “don’t bother on letting me go, i’m freeing myself from you, from Tiffany, from your world, from the love triangle.. oh wait was that even love?”

“Jessica listen to me... don’t go, i can’t live without you, i miss you..” she said “i wasn’t aware robots can miss someone, did they updated your software while i was away?” i said and turn around to walk away from her but she grab my wrist again and this time she pull he to her hug.

I turn into stone once i’m back in her embrace, i can’t lie to myself i miss her too and i’ve been missing her since that day i left from the hospital, she hug me tight and move closer to my ear “don’t move... you need to hear what i’m about to say” she said and i just stand there feeling her warm embrace

“i love you too Jessica”

Those words.. those 3 words that i wanted to hear from her, the reason why i’m willing to forgive and forget, those words she never said to anyone.. until now.

“Jessica..” she whisper, tears fall down my face she hurt me so bad but i still can’t win against my feelings for her

i push her slowly and shook my head, “i’m sorry... but i have to go” i said and turn around running back to the cafe, leaving her behind.

TAEYEON’S POV

Safe your breath because whatever you say won’t make me change my mind... I’m leaving, and that’s what you should be doing too right now

“Tae? Tae.? Tae!” a familiar girl’s voice woke me up from thinking about Jessica’s words, i shake my head and look at Tiffany who’s standing in front of me “what were you thinking? Are you ok?” i clear my throat and sit straight on the couch, “the apartment looks.. messy, are you ok?” she ask and i nodded, “i haven’t got time to clean up but i’m fine, what are you doing here?” i ask and she sit on the couch beside me “i’m here to grab a few of my stuff, i just got a place in the same building with Yuri and i’m getting my stuff from here” “oh yeah, go ahead” i said “i’m here to see you too, we’re ok right? we can still be friends?” she said and i nodded “of course Tiffany” i said “you know, friends talk. How are things with Jessica? Have you talk to her?” she ask

“um.. it’s really over i guess, she’s moving to America.. so..” “wh..what?! when?” she ask, i glance to the table where the calendar is there and today is the 30^th, i chuckled and look back at Tiffany “today” i said

“Tae... you should talk to her, you know she loves you and you know you can make her stay somehow” she said, “no you don’t understand... she’s leaving and that’s final” i said, “but she didn’t kno- -“ “i told her i love her Tiffany, and she still wants to leave... it’s over”

Tiffany sigh and walk away to the bedroom, she’s in there for a few minutes and she walk out with a suitcase and a box “i called Yuri, her flight is in an hour you still can make it to the airport and see her before she left, saying i love you is not enough, you need to tell her why you loving her can make her stay.... she has been through a lot with you and she need more that those 3 words” Tiffany said, “i hope you did the right thing, it’s your first love Tae... you sure you wanna let it go just like that?”

JESSICA’S POV

“ohh come on i can’t stop saying goodbye” i said and i keep crying in Seohyun’s hug, Seohyun Yuri and i are outside of the airport, i don’t want them to take me inside because it will be harder, “unnie take care ok? be the best singer there and.. i really am gonna miss you so much, i love you sica unnie” Seohyun said and i wipe my tears, “you know baby you’re like the sister i never had.. thank you for everything, we’ll always be in touch ok? call me when Kyuhyun propose to you”  i said and i kiss her forehead, she laugh and blush “will you come home if i get married?” she ask, “i wouldn’t miss it for the world” i said and i walk to Yuri and smile to her “you...” i said and she laugh “thank you, if it weren’t for you wouldn’t survive here” i said and she nodded “i’m gonna miss you Sica...” “me too Yul, i hope you and Tiffany will be happy forever ok? don’t let her down” i said and i look at Taecyeon who’s waiting for me behind “i should get inside now... i’ll e-mail once i landed ok?” i said and i hug both of them one last time “i love you both so much..” i said and they smile to me “we love you too Sica” “always unnie”

they walk inside the car and drive away, i look at the empty street and waiting for her.. what am i thinking.. she wouldn’t be here. “Waiting for someone else jess?” Taecyeon ask and i shook my head slowly “nope, let’s go” i said “you sure you have said goodbye to everyone?” he ask and i nodded “i did”

“You sure it’s everyone Jessica?” a familiar voice said from behind, i turn around and as expected it’s Taeyeon. “Taeyeon..” “um.. Taec can you go first? I’ll meet you inside” i tell Taecyeon and he nodded and take my passport “sure” he said and he walk inside

“no you won’t meet him inside” Taeyeon said, “Taeyeon..” “please.. don’t leave with him” she said and i sigh, “what are you doing here?” i ask and she walk closer, “i know now, those 3 words are not enough to make you stay.. maybe it use to be but now you need to hear more and that’s why i’m here” she said

“Jessica you’re my first love.. not Tiffany not anyone, it’s you. I was just too stupid

to realize that what i have for you is love, i don’t want you to go, i’m asking you for a second chance.... please... sica” she said and i look down, “Taeyeon... i can’t go back to become what i use to be, i need to be myself before i can finally fall into someone else’s life , i need to build my future” i said, “then you’ll find another way to show the world who you are, we build our future together” she said and i smile, “i followed my heart all last year and it led me nowhere.. now i need to follow my head” i said “you don’t need to choose between them, look at brad and angelina they take turns to be on top”

“yeah but she won an oscar first...” i said and i sigh, “i’m sorry but i needed to be Jessica Jung before i can be Kim Taeyeon’s girlfriend” i said and she grab my hand and hold it tight “i love you...”

she said it with a soft, desperate tone in her voice, tears form in my eyes and i smile to her “i love you too” i said

“look i don’t expect you to wait...” she put her hand on my cheek and caress it slowly “if two people are meant to be together, eventually they’ll find their way back” she said and tears fall down my face “do you really believe in that?” i ask and she nodded “so do i” i said

She lean closer and our lips finally touches each others’ all over again, this is a goodbye kiss, a bittersweet taste in it.. but it feels right.
