||A.N.: This part of the story shall show what our dreadfully idiotic Yunho feels, now that he kinda knows the truth. You're regretting that you let go of Jaejoong now right? (*le smacks by Yunho*) okay, whatever you  dimwit. (*gets le smack again*) >:P

|| Yunho’s POV ||

As Yunho walked down the stairs, he swiftly brought his phone out and punched in a number like a madman, and then placed the phone against his ear.

“Hello?” someone had immediately answered before the dial tone sounded for a second time.

“Hyunseung ah,” Yunho mumbled out, and he heard a slight choke, followed by coughing from the other side of the line, indicating that the other person must have been either eating or drinking.

A choking sound. “Oh, Yunho hyung.” Another cough. “Why’d you call? Did you need something?”

Yunho’s hand clenched around the phone, thinking of the reason why he called a cousin with a certain job in the first place. Good thing he knew someone in the investigation department within the police ranks, and to top that, his cousin was a rather famous investigator.

“You have a branch here in Gongju right?”  Yunho asked, getting straight to the point. Hyunseung was quiet for a moment. “Gongju, hyung? Yeah, we do. Actually, I’m here in Gongju right now.” Now that had Yunho blinking with a pause. “You are?”

He heard a hum as an answer from the younger man.

The frustrated Yunho hadn’t realized that he was outside the hospital until he felt the light, chilly feel of the wind. He pulled on his sleeve and looked at his watch then swore when he noticed that five minutes had gone by and Yoochun, as well as the brat, haven’t come out yet.

“Where’s your office then?” Yunho sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose as he felt the pounding of his head earlier had started to grow painful.

A cluttering sound was heard from Hyunseung’s side of the line. “Downtown.”

Silence.

“I’m in downtown as well.” The older frowned. How on earth is Hyunseung being here so coincidental?

He heard his cousin gasp. “What? Really? Where here?”

Yunho couldn’t help but sigh again. Asking and answering too many questions made his head pound even more. “Never mind that, tell me where your office is at so that I can come and talk to you. The matter I want to talk about with you is much too serious to talk about it over the phone.”

“Alright then.” He heard Hyunseung say. “My office is right in front of the downtown hospital.”

Okay, this time, Yunho couldn’t help but scrunch his forehead together. This really is too much. Yunho thought with a sigh.

Yunho turned to his left to come face to face with a three-story building that had only the lights in the third floor open.

That must be where he is. “Hyunseung ah,” the older man said. “get out of your chair and look out your window?”

“Eh?” his cousin exclaimed, but he heard the younger do as he as because his eyes remained on the curtained windows of the third floor and saw it open, revealing a young man with dark auburn hair.

“What on earth hyung?” he heard his cousin say, and was about to say something else but Hyunseung cut him off. “Alright hyung. I’m coming down. Wait for me.”

Yunho nodded and hang up on his cousin and watched as Hyunseung disappeared from the windows as well. He looked once more at his watch and now it’s been eight minutes since he left the room. What are they doing? He could hear the irritation from the thought but brushed it aside when he saw a figure running towards him from the other side of the road.

“What are you even doing here hyung?” the younger man asked immediately as he reached the older man. Yunho shrugged in reply to the younger’s question. “I…checked up on something. But besides that,” the formed eyed the latter. “Hyunseung ah…” he clenched his hand. “do you remember J-Jaejoong?” it was his first time saying that name again ever since they broke it off last year. Saying his name hurt his pride and made him remember the painful things he experienced when he saw that kiss. The kiss that made him think his lover was cheating on him. But he was wrong. He was dead wrong. It was just a kiss between a childhood friend and his lover. What had he done?

He watched various expressions wash over his cousin’s face until the younger nodded. “Yes, of course I do hyung. Who on earth doesn’t remember the famous Hero?” Yunho felt a light smile tug at his lips. Hero was Jaejoong’s stage name while he modelled, and despite being one person, Yunho found a very big difference between Jaejoong and Hero, and he finds that quite endearing.

From the very beginning of their relationship, Jaejoong had been a very quiet, reserved, and calm person, but when it was Hero, he was very professional, blunt, clumsy, and very LOUD. Even with the entertainment persona on, Yunho couldn’t deny the love he felt for Jaejoong…until that one fateful day. He was about to go on a business trip and was in the airport, and that was when he found a familiar raven haired beauty wrapped around the arms of a blonde person he didn’t know.

When the smaller man in his arms pulled away, Yunho had been right. It was his lover in the arms of another man. That infuriated him. He thought Jaejoong was smart enough to not think about cheating, but there he was, in the arms of another man. But what happened after that was the reason why they were the in the situation they were in now.

Or that’s what he thought, until he met the mysterious man’s sister, only to reveal that the two have been on a friendly basis ever since they were children.

But anyway, “He and his brother were chased by loan sharks earlier. The brother was able to escape, but he hasn’t come out yet.” He watched Hyunseung’s eyes widen. “What?” his mouth had opened wide. “How on earth did that happen?” he whipped out his phone. “Sorry hyung, I have to make this call.” Yunho gritted his teeth but nodded. There was no time to waste, but his cousin had suddenly brought out his phone and started dialling a number before he was able to talk.

“Explain yourselves you imbeciles!” Yunho blinked at the sudden change in his cousin’s attitude. What on earth?

He heard buzzing from his cousin’s phone.

“That is no excuse!” a high pitched scream that made Yunho wince. “Jaejoong ah has been targeted already you morons and you say that you’re having dinner? Are you idiots? You were supposed to be guarding him for goodness’ sake!” Yunho’s eyes widened. What does you mean by ‘guarding,’ Hyunseung ah?

More buzzing from the phone.

“WELL GET YOUR BUTTS OUT HERE IN THE HOSPITAL BEFORE I CUT ALL YOUR AND FEED THEM TO MY DOGS!!!” he swore and flipped his phone down then placed them in his pocket.

This was the first time he’s ever seen the calm and collected Hyunseung scream his lungs out, however, his cousin wasn’t getting away with that piece of information he just said over the phone. “By the way, Hyunseung ah, what do you mean by ‘guarding’ anyway?”

Hyunseung crossed his arms and sighed. “Despite me being part of the investigation department, I am also the head of security in the department, and so, Yoochun ah hired us last year to keep watch of them. They were supposed to be very good at what they do, but those idiots had gone to dinner, thinking that Jaejoong ah and Junsu ah are safe, but no.” his cousin swore again and pinched the bridge of his nose.

“What area were Jaejoong ah and Junsu ah in when they parted?” Hyunseung asked in his business tone, and before Yunho could answer, the two of them heard footsteps from behind them.

Hyunseung looked up and Yunho turned back to see Yoochun and Junsu come out from the building.

Junsu had stopped on his tracks when he saw Hyunseung. “Hyunseung hyung…” he said in a weak tone, and gone was the earlier Junsu who had tried to stay strong. “Hyunseung hyung…” he repeated and ran to Hyunseung, who in turn left Yunho and met Junsu half way.

The younger of the two had his other arm around Hyunseung’s waist while Hyunseung and patted Junsu’s back and hair while the younger cried.

Yunho stared at the scene before him. How on earth have Jaejoong and Junsu coincidentally met his cousins without him even realizing it?

“Junsu ah, I heard it from Yunho hyung,” Hyunseung started after removing Junsu’s arm around him lightly and crouching at eye level with Junsu. “Where did you and your Jaejoong hyung part before you met up with hyung and the others.”

Junsu sniffed. “J-Jae hyung and I separated by the fourth street near Hwaeun noona’s shop.” Hyunseung nodded. That was when five black cars entered the scene and ran out to Hyunseung, who rose to his height and turned towards his men, eyes burning with fury. “Unit 1, check out the premises immediately,” four men nodded and ran to their car and disappeared as soon as they arrived. “Unit 2 and 3, head out to fourth street in seventh avenue. Check out the place, do not let any nook and cranny go unchecked,” ten men nodded this time and got into two cars and followed the first car. “Unit 4 will check fourth and fifth street if there had been any witnesses, and Unit 5, see third and eighth street if there are any loan sharks left.” Same as the other men who left earlier, nine men nodded and got in their cars and left as well.

Hyunseung turned to Yoochun. “Yoochun ah, take Junsu ah and Changmin ah to the hotel you and Yunho hyung are staying. Yunho hyung will stay with me.” Yoochun nodded and waited as Hyunseung placed a hand on top of Junsu’s head. Then he smiled. “Junsu ah, don’t worry. We will find Jaejoong ah, okay?” Junsu nodded and gave Hyunseung another hug before he followed Yoochun to a car that was parked near them.

Then they drove away.

During what was happening, Yunho couldn’t move. He watched as his cousin commanded more than twenty people with a booming voice. What was his relationship with Jaejoong? Why was he taking the initiative?

It’s because you’re not doing anything, you dimwit. He heard his inner self scold him, and he gave a pained sigh.

Knowing that it was true. 

||A.N.: so, I'm loving myself for finally having read of that blasted writer's block XD and so, here is my the latest chapter for LHLID, I'm really sorry if you think it's a bit late though, but, meh. I hope you find this quite interesting with the appearance of a new character. LOL. You guys might start getting curious with what his relationship with Jaejoong is now, because he's gong all alpha male now XD Guys wanna try guesing what he is to Jaejoong??? Go ahead :D
