Blood. Life. Love. Us

Naeun didn't talk to anybody. She didn't feel the need to talk to anybody. Why? What could they do. Kahi was dead and no one and nothing could change that.

Emotions which acted like a genade were mixed with her sudden rage of anger. She couldn't forget, she made herself remember. Remember the strong familiar scent that sheltered everyone and anyone who was needing some form of protection. The way her laughter illuminated up the room, so loud, angelic and wicked all at the same times. All those years where she lived in with one eye open drowning herself in the mistakes of her past. She was immortal, yet so human.

Kahi never aged, not for centuries. That didn't meet she was immune to the tow of life. She was like any other human, when she got hurt she felt pain, when she was sad she cry, when she was happy she laughs. The only difference was that she could never age. Part of her witches magic she had lost for a long time now. But she was still as fragile as humans and could easily be harm by one.

Naeun wanted to feel angry. She forced herself to, she drenched herself in her own loneliness and pain asking for a good reason why. Why? Wasn't that the question all must ask sometime in their life. Why must this happen? Why to me, why to us?

And the truth is that there were no remedy. No logical answer that could be spoken by words. Naeun stared at the sky. It raged on a tone of dark grey. The clouds covering the skies. The world was quiet. Silence in mourning or a great lost. The trees were bare as was Naeun's heart.

A storm was coming. She didn't care. She didn't care it the storm twisted and turn aiming for her to punished her for no reason. None of that mattered. Right now nothing mattered to her.

The funeral had finally ended. Naeun was glad about this. The voices filled with of tears and agony was too much for her. The gushes of tears that reached every corner of the room combined with the mixtures of sorry words were all fake. In truth they didn't understand. Most of them didn't appreciate the woman. She was a pretty face on the television every morning. That was all she was. So many of them were fake. This pissed Naeun off. None of them knew Kahi for who she was.

All had left. Chorong and Eunji were in Eunji's room. The Sheriff had insisted that Naeun stay with them for a while. He said it was safer. Naeun knew that was a lie. No one was safe.

She stared at the door where her hand clenched onto the handle as if at any moment, some horrific creature would appear chasing her out. With furrowed brows, she scrutinized the placement of the clouds. Dark huge clouds hovered above, already pouring their might down onto the dry lands.

Jabbing the down open she made a run from it. A run from what? She had no idea. All she understood was that she needed to get away. As far away as possible. Screams from Chorong and Eunji called for her. Their parents stopping them, telling their daughters that their friend needed some time alone. Chorong, Eunji, their parents, those were the people that care. The people that knew the lost.

A small rational group of people who understood Kahi like Naeun did. They knew her aside from the beautiful television reporter. They understood Naeun's feelings because they too felt the same.

Nothing could stop her. The fact that she was barefoot was useless, let her feet be as bruised as her heart, maybe then the two would match. The teardrops of rains slowly hitting the earth was nothing. Let the rain mix with her tears.

She was an unstoppable force.....Sadly for her she just had to run into an unmovable object. Three unmovable objects.

As if the gods hadn't let her suffer enough they must put Kim Myungsoo and his sworn brothers in her path. Glaring eye to eye with the three vampires Naeun had suddenly gain some sort of energy she herself hadn't realize. It was that same energy that gave her the motivation to speak her mind, and her mind was helplessly dangerous with knowledge.

"Did you three kill her?" Naeun dared to ask. She wasn't a fool. Surely a stamp on a piece of paper saying that Kahi had been killed by a sudden animal attack was false and Naeun knew it.

Animal Attack. Naeun chuckled at the statement when she first saw it.

It was quiet. Dead silent. A deep gloominess filled the air between the four. All four standing in the middle of the forest. Naeun hadn't even come to ask why they were their in the first place but she decided to let her mind to use some imagination and decide for itself.

"Did you guys kill her!" She screamed tears filling her eyes. She had the rage of a monstrous demon out for blood. She was an absolute mess. Her hair a neurotic mess of silky ebony. Her red eyes contrasting with the pale skin filled with tears. Her skin a little too pale and white. Her black dress now torn at the hem but she could care less, she hated the dress anyways. Her hand were held tight in closed fists.

Naeun was beautiful, absolutely stunning in Myungsoo's eye and he couldn't deny that fact. She was a tigress ready to attack. Eyeing her down he saw the weak little girl in front of him transform into the strong powerful woman that she truly was.

"You three......Did you three kill my aunt?" She asked, the intensity in her eyes still as fierce as before if not stronger. She wasn’t scare of them, not at all.

"What made you think that?" Woohyun was the first to speak. It was the talk of the town. The beautiful news reporter killed in a sudden animal attack.

"She betray you guys first so you kill her. It's been 400 years and you still hold a grudge against her?" Naeun spoke. The three eyes each other before letting their eyes fall onto Naeun once again. They stood tall and proud like the gods they were. Their movements precise and fast, their one downfall was this beautiful broken mess standing before them.

If there was ever a weakness to men it should be the tears of a woman truly dammed.

She knew what they were. She knew what they could do to her yet she showed no signs of fear. She was standing up to creatures that could her dry in a blink of an eye but she didn't hesitant. One would assume she was on a suicide mission. Maybe she was. Death can do crazy things to people.

"We didn't kill her. That's not the answer you want, but we didn't kill her." Hoya finally answered firmly and bluntly. He stood in the back, his face covered by the shadows surrounding him. opened, but nothing came out. Her eyes closed for moment as the skies continued to send down it's worst storm.

And then here was that moment in every movie where it seems like all hope was lost, that the evil had finally taken over, Naeun falling, her feet giving out on her and stumbling towards the ground.

Right before she touched the ground a pair of strong arms reached out for her, grabbing her waist and pulling her into a strong embrace. She fought to get away, she kicked and scratch but to her dissatisfaction vampires as believed, are quiet strong.

"Shh, shh. Everything's going to be okay." Myungsoo reassured her ignoring the looks Hoya and Woohyun were giving him. The two stepped back confused towards this situation. For the first time in a long time they saw Myungsoo's softer side. A side he hadn't shown in decades. A flash of lighting hit and the two were gone. Zooming back towards their temporary house for now.

They were in the eye of the storm right now. Thunder crashed from the heavens while the rain poured endlessly. But nothing, nothing screamed and cried louder and harder than Naeun at this point. His heart ached watching her in her state of being. So lost, so tired, to hopeless, yet so beautiful. All he could do was hold her and try to keep her from anymore harm.

"How'd you find out?" He asked once her tears dried up. Her head was placed against his chest. His chest was beating so fast right now he swore he was going insane, and they say vampires don't have hearts.

He couldn't help but think how perfectly she fit in his arms and how he could hold her forever. Naeun took a step back from him struggling for room to breathe especially with how tight he was holding her. He got the message and loosen his hold. His arm still wrapped around her waist.

"Son Dongwoon. I was reading his journals." Naeun replied back after a full minute of silence. Her eyes glued onto the muddy ground as rain poured down. Myungsoo nodded and chuckled.

"That idiot always wrote too much." Myungsoo scowled remembering his good friend. He turned his glare back towards Naeun. Her eyes looking at anything but him right now. Through this was quite difficult since she was in his tight grasp.

"I'm sorry. I know that's the last thing you want to hear right now, but really, I'm sorry."

"You want to go back?" Myungsoo asked. His voice full of care and tenderness. Naeun shook her head indicating a 'no'. Myungsoo huffed, he couldn't force her to go back. He could, but he won't.

"Then hold on tight." He spoke holding Naeun tighter by the face. Naeun's face grew red at this type of skinship but that soon became the least of her  worries.

The world flashed by so fast, everything was in fast-forward motion. The trees the valley, it all zoomed by them as they speed ahead.

Naeun had only a moment to blink before the two came to a sudden stop. Loosening his grip Naeun had the opportunity to take hold of where she was.

"I brought you back to my place. You said you didn't want to go back and we certainly can't stay out in the rain any longer." He spoke to her.

Taking his arm away off her waist he grabbed her hand pulling her with him. Naeun hesitantly followed. He wasn't dangerous. She knew that from the start, a real mystery to now even now after all she knew, but her intuition told her to trust him. Stepping through the front doors the two made their way to the massive living area decorated in the finest furniture man could buy. The room held a feel of royalty and greatness, a fire was lit by the fire place and old paintings of famous castles were hung on the walls. The furniture was antique yet looked new, the complete from her modern home.

"What the hell Myungsoo." Woohyun's voice was the first thing heard as he entered the room out of no where. Myungsoo ignored him however turning towards Naeun.

"We have to get you out of those wet clothes" He said and in a blink of an eye he was gone. Naeun stood awkwardly looking at Woohyun who had an unreadable expression on.

Naeun turned away from him. Her eyes falling on one of the many pictures of the three that was set on the side table. They were a small set, only about six pictures, but they touched her heart in so many ways. She felt emotional again. Picking up one of the pictures she saw the smiling faces of the three. They didn't look a day younger than they did today but that wasn't what got her. It was the life in their faces, that look of happiness just being in each others company brought.

She found another one of her tears slipping from her eyes dripping against the cheek.

"Here." A voice cut her thoughts off. She looked up to meet Hoya. A tissue in his hand staring at her. She was hesitant to take it, mostly because she barely knew the guy. Sure she's had a conversation or two with Myungsoo, and Woohyun was always the his cheerful self, except for maybe now when he's eyeing her down from across the room, but Hoya barely crossed her path.

"Just take it, I know you need it." He added stern yet caringly. Taking the tissue from his hand she wipe off the second tear that had spilled from her eyes. Just in time as Myungsoo stepped back into the room, already changed into new clothes

"Here, change into these." He spoke throwing her the clothes in his hands She caught them effortlessly. "We don't have any female clothes so I guess mine clothes will have to do. He spoke. She nodded before asking where she could change. He directed her towards the bathroom on the other side of the hallway.

Stepping into the bathroom she shut the door remembering to lock it. She could already hear the stutters coming from Hoya and Woohyun. They were obviously lecturing Myungsoo, and she knew it was because of her.

She took a look in the mirror. God she looked awful. If this was any other circumstance she would quickly fix her appearance but right now she was so tired and fed up she couldn't even care.

She took a look at the clothes, a white bottom down shirt and a pair of black pants. The pants looked way to big for her however. Putting on the bottom down shirt it reached her mid-thigh. She decided to just live in the pair of cotton black shorts she was already wearing underneath her dress, apparently they had somehow managed not to get wet.

She chuckled to herself, she was wearing Myungsoo's clothes. Yes, just another normal day in the life of Son Naeun, she thought sarcastically.

Slowly opening the door the voices coming from the other end of the hall scared but, not for the reasons she thought. They scared her because they sounded so...normal. It was any other typical conversation, or argument where Woohyun was scowling Myungsoo about bringing her there and telling him automatically to take away her memory. Myungsoo was insisting that Naeun wouldn't tell anyone, which she won't, and she was of no harm aside from thinking they killed her aunt. Woohyun also used the fact that she assumed they killed her aunt as another reason why she didn't belong their.

Hoya was the middle ran, siding with whoever he found was going to win the fight. No one. After a quick moment the three finally realized that she was standing in front of them completely changed.

"I know you don't want me here." She began. "...But right now I...don't want to go back....I just can't take going back and any other place I go I will just get the same pitiful lies that I've been getting all day. I just can't handle it right now." Naeun begged. His eyes remained the same unreadable form.

"...Fine. Stay." He said giving up towards both Myungsoo's stubbornness and Naeun's pleads. A small smirk appeared on Myungsoo's face which Naeun missed.
--

The room was quiet. Too quiet. The sound of the cracking wood from the fireplace was the only sounds heard. Three pair of eyes stared at Naeun. Her eyes were locked on the burning wood. For one, because she was afraid to look at anything else, and two, because it seemed to calm down her nerves. Myungsoo was seated next to her. His hands intertwined with hers, and although a little voice was telling her to get as far away from him as possible she just couldn't let her body obey.

Being around him made her feel calm in ways she didn't even know. She knew safe and sound. She felt like he was going to protect her from everything and anything.

"So, she came two you guys....before she died." Naeun repeated the news they just told her. Hoya nodded.

"She told you guys who she really was.....that she was the one, she turned you three into vampires." Naeun repeated another part. Again Hoya nodded. Apparently he was the only one showing any signs of action.

"Did you forgive her?" That last question caught all three off guard. Did they forgive her?

"No." Myungsoo answered. Naeun sank back into the sofa, her hand still connected with Myungsoo's.

"Look Naeun." Woohyun finally spoke. They all knew he couldn't stay quiet for long.

"I know we don't actually have the most reassuring story but we are not stupid enough to kill her....At least not that fast. And we would be smart about it. An animal attack would be way to obvious. We don't want to get people suspicious." Woohyun said. His words killing Naeun. Her aunt was already dead, couldn't he speak more highly of her than making her seem like a play toy?

"Ah." Woohyun growled having a pillow being thrown at him from Hoya. "Sorry Naeun-ah. Woohyun's not exactly good with words. In all truth, we did not forgive Kahi. But we also didn't kill her." Hoya said.

"She wasn't kill by an animal attack through." Naeun cut in.

"What?" Myungsoo asked looking at Naeun who was looking towards the fireplace still. "Three animal attacks. That's unlikely to happen. My parents were also killed by an animal attack." Naeun revealed. The three quickly exchanged glances, Naeun had gotten used to them by now. It was like the three had telepathy or something, they always understood what the other was thinking even without saying it out loud.

"We will look into that for you. If It'll make you feel better." Myungsoo replied.

"Whose we?" Woohyun shot over earning another pillow throw from Hoya. Woohyun hissed at Hoya, Naeun couldn't help but notice how normal the two seemed, they were in their natural enviroment and being themselves.

"Shoot!" Naeun suddenly shot up.

"What is it?"

"I forgot about the others." It was already dark out, the storm had quiet down, the sky dark and misty. The moonlight was well lit over the universe.

"Don't worry. We called Chorong earlier." Woohyun spoke. "And apparently, she doesn't answer her phone much." He continued. Naeun knew that was a lie. Chorong was always one with her phone. She was just avoiding Woohyun. "It seems like she doesn't like us much." He continued.

"That's not it." Naeun cut in stopping him from continuing.

"I know." He said with a knowing smile lit on his face. "How bad are her visions getting?" He questioned.

"What?" Naeun asked back. Visions?

"Just give her time. Once the visions are over she's start to experience her physical powers. Those are hard to control." Woohyun continued confusing the already confused Naeun.

"What are you talking about?" Naeun asked. She demanded to know what they knew about Chorong.

"She's a witch." Woohyun revealed as if it was the most normal thing in the whole universe. In a sense however, it was quite normal for him, "I got to keep my distance from her. Park witches and I don't exactly match well. Like Gyuri noona, or Jiyeon, or Kahi." Woohyun continued in randomness.

"Ignore the talking idiot." Myungsoo whispered into her ears.

"Ah, speaking of Park Witches, here comes one right......"Woohyun began but stopped, as if waiting for the cue, the front door slammed open. In came a running Chorong with a calm Eunji slowly following behind.

"Yah! Son Naeun!" She shouted. Woohyun gave Naeun a knowing smile.

"...Now." He finished. Naeun narrowed her eyes. How did he know that?

"Vampires have heighten senses. We heard the two from a mile away" Myungsoo whispered into her ear. She nodded finally understanding. She still had much to learn, and much more to ask.

"Bring on the drama." Woohyun growled standing from his seat and turning to meet eye and eye with Chorong.
