Yuri’s POV

 

Why are you making things harder than it already is Minho?

Why couldn’t you just play along huh Minho?

I walked out of his house crying.

 

I don’t know where to go.

TOP would probably get madder at me because he already warned me about this.

He already told me to stop from the start.

 

The thing is that I knew a relationship between a human and a genie would NEVER work.

Let alone ending up falling for one.

 

Jessica is probably having problems with Krystal.

The only person I could turn to now is Nichkhun.

 

Nichkhun has always been a great friend.

He would always listen to me…

And I never really had a one on one talk with him about me being a genie.

But after knowing that he’s the dark angel’s father… that kind of threw me back a bit.

 

But I know Nichkhun’s different. He has a good heart.

 

TOP’s POV

 

I stared at the bottle for a while.

If this is the only way then it must be done.

I need to protect Yuri… no matter what.

 

I got up and re appeared at Minho’s room.

“What happened now?” I asked.

He looked exhausted as he sat at the edge of his bed.

“I…I… I don’t know. She ran out.” I sighed.

 

I kept quiet for a while.

“Listen!” I broke the silence.

“There’s something you should know.”

Minho didn’t say a word but he seemed to pay attention to every word I said.

“It’s about the dark angel’s plan… You see, he’s been going around people’s head. The dark angel wants to hurt Yuri… He wants Yuri’s parents to see the one they love suffer… Just like he did.”

Minho’s eyes widened even more.

 

“He’s been trying to hurt her in many ways, and you happen to be one of his plans. He knows that you both are falling in love with each other. He wants her heartbroken… and after that… he wants to hurt her even more.” I explained

Minho’s jaw dropped.

“Eotteokhe?” he began to panic.

 

“There is only one available option.” I stopped him from pacing.

“I’m all ears!”

“Break the necklace.” I spoke out without hesitation.

“Bwoh?”

“Break the necklace!” I pointed at the necklace on his neck.

“ANDWAE!”

“That’s the only way… If you break the necklace, Yuri would have to go back to her lamp which would keep her safe. The lamp would hide itself for many years… It’s the lamp who chooses that right master. It chooses you for a good reason, so by know you know it chooses well.”

Minho kept quiet.

“But that would mean… I would never see Yuri again.” He mumbled.

 

I knew it would be hard for him.

They’ve grown deep feelings for each other.

“You see this?” I took out the small bottle from my pocket.

“It’s the potion… It’s the only potion that could break the necklace.” He began to examine it.

“Keep it… The choice is all yours. I just hope you choose the best and the RIGHT choice.” I patted his shoulder.

 

Nichkun’s POV

 

~DING DONG~

 

I opened the door.

“WHAT?” I screamed but my face changed when I saw Yuri standing in front of me with her head to the ground. I could hear her faint sobs.

“Yul…” my voice softened up.

I quickly hugged her and her hair.

“What happened? Who did this to you?” I whispered.

 

We walked inside and I gave her something to drink.

“I had to break up with Minho…” she started off.

“I know… It’s because of what he and Krystal did.”

Yuri looked straight at me with teary eyes “It’s not that.”

“Then?” I got curious.

“I can’t have feelings for him. It’s making me weak and it’s going to put him in danger. Minho and I… we can never be together.” She started crying again.

 

“I’m… I’m sorry.” I mumbled.

I knew her heart was breaking and it’s killing me.

“It’s because of my father, right?” I asked.

She didn’t respond.

“You don’t need to hide. I know he told you something and you’ve been hiding it ever since.”

She sniffed before wiping her tears.

“What did he tell you Yuri?” I asked yet again, watching her every move.

 

I grabbed her wrist making her shoot a scared look at me.

“Nichkhun… It hurts.” She winced and tries to let go.

“Tell me.” I demanded.

“No!”

“Fine, then I’ll go ask him myself!” I let go off her wrist but this time she’s the one who grabbed mine.

But she was gentler.

“He said that… that I should break up with Minho and give him the necklace… or else he would hurt him.” She spoke up.

“You can’t do that!” I yelled.

“IT’S MY CHOICE!”

“He’s going to hurt you when you give him the necklace.”

“Well at least Minho would be safe…”

“DON’T BE STUPID YURI!”

“Well I am! I’m a pabo!” she yelled.

“It was a mistake coming to you for help.” She glared at me before running out of the house.

“YURI!” I screamed but she was gone.

 

The Dark Angel’s POV

 

“HERE!” I heard Yuri’s voice.

I glanced at what she was holding out and it was the necklace.

“TAKE IT! I ALREADY BROKE UP WITH HIM! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?!” she yelled.

I let my spirit hold the necklace.

I felt powerful!

 

It was gave me more strength than I imagined.

I could feel myself turning into an actual person and not just a shadow.

“AH! THIS FEELS GOOD!” I smirked.

“Appa!” I heard one of my sons call out.

They can now see me.

Yuri on the other hand just glared.

 

~Flashback~

 

“YURI! YOU’RE BACK!” Minho called out.

He quickly ran and hugged her.

Yuri kept a straight face and didn’t hug him back.

Suddenly they kissed.

And Yuri sneakily grabbed the necklace and removed it from his neck.

“YURI! GIVE IT BACK!” he gasped.

Yuri kept quiet and smiled at him.

“Goodbye Minho.” She touched his face and disappeared in a blink of an eye.

 

~End of Flashback~

 

I grabbed her face.

“Now… Let’s make you suffer for your parents to see.” I smiled as I quickly pushed her to the ground.

She landed in a loud thud.

She didn’t move. She just laid there.

“COME OUT AND PROTECT YOUR PRECIOUS ANGEL!” I yelled.

But there was no reply.

“Hold her up!” I commanded my sons who did exactly what I said.

“Now… I want you to watch this carefully.” I kept the palm of my hands on her head.

 

“Krystal!” Minho called out.

Krystal turned and they looked at each other lovingly.

“Finally, Yuri’s gone. We can be together now.” Minho stokes Krystal’s hair.

“Finally…” Krystal whispered and they both kissed.

 

Yuri’s tears began falling down.

“IT HURTS DOESN’T IT?!” I screamed.

“YES! YES IT DOES!” She finally spoke out.

She tried to punch me but I quickly threw her down.

“Ouch.” She groaned as she landed on her knee badly.

“STOP!” I heard someone scream.

I turned around to find my son.

“Oh Nichkhun, how nice of you to join us!” I greeted him warmly.

 

He quickly ran to Yuri and helped her up.

“Do you think by hurting Yuri you can finally get your revenge? YOU CAN’T CHANGE WHAT HAPPENED! YOU CAN’T FORCE SOMEONE TO LOVE YOU!”

“HOW DARE YOU!” I screamed and sent my son flying to the wall where he ended up on the ground.

“NICHKHUN!” Yuri was about to run to him when I grabbed her arm.

“I wish… you can’t move!” I glared and soon she was stuck next to me.

 

Minho’s POV

 

“You can’t get rid of me that easily Yuri.” I thought to myself as Jessica and TOP showed up.

TOP was holding the necklace. The REAL necklace.

 

~Flashback~

 

“I made my choice.” I spoke out a few seconds after TOP explained everything to me.

“Let me hear it then?” he seemed eager.

“I’m willing to break the necklace… so Yuri could be safe.” I added.

TOP nodded.

“Give it to me.” He held his hands out and I did what he said.

“Now where this.” He handed me something that he took out of his pocket.

I stared at it.

It looked EXACTLY like the real necklace.

“Why did you switch it?” I asked, confused.

TOP smirked “You’ll see.”

I put the fake necklace on my neck, “Where did you get this?”

“I’ve got resources.” He winked.

 

~End of Flashback~

 

I put on the real necklace on my neck.

“Wouldn’t they realize that it’s not real?” I asked as TOP and Jessica quickly sat down on my couch.

“Ani. That’s Krystal’s job. Whatever the master “wishes” she would cast some spells to make it happen. Just to make it seem real.” Jessica pulled me to sit on the sofa with her.

“NOW HUSH UP! WE’RE TRYING TO LISTEN!” Jessica held my hands and I could hear everything that she was hearing. Which was everything Krystal was hearing.

 

It’s pretty complicated but TOP, Krystal & Jessica can hear each other’s thoughts and the noise in their surroundings. That’s IF they focus on it or else, hearing someone else’s thought could be really annoying.

 

“Guys… Yuri just hurt her knee and Nichkhun is trying to regain his consciousness.” Krystal described the scenario but we can hear the dark angel’s, Yuri’s, and Nichkhun’s voice.

 

“OMO! Krystal! Is it safe for you to be there?” I asked worriedly.

But I didn’t ask why she’s suddenly helping us.

I always knew there was still some good left in her.

“I guess. But you shouldn’t worry about me now…” Krystal spoke softly.

Jessica looked at me then continued focusing.

 

“Please! Don’t hurt anymore innocent people. I’ll do whatever you want! See, you already have me!” I heard Yuri pleading.

It hurts me so bad but all I could do for now was to just sit and listen to her suffering.

 “SHUT UP! NICHKHUN, GET UP!” The dark angel’s voice echoed.

“OMO!” Krystal gasped.

“! GUYS, I’M CAUGHT!” she panicked.

 

“Well hello there, you little witch!” The dark angel’s voice seemed to be getting louder.

“KRYSTAL, RUN!” I heard Yuri panicking.

“Spying on us, huh?” The dark angel’s voice was deep and spine shivering.

 

“OMO!” Jessica stood up and removed her hands from me, so now I can’t hear what’s going on.

“C’mon!” TOP ran outside and Jessica and I followed.

We held each other’s hands and soon we were in this dark place.

It’s like a cave.

“Jessica, you get Krystal and both of you, keep casting spells to keep making the necklace seem real.” TOP whispered softly.

Jessica nodded and made herself invisible.

 

“What about me?” I asked.

“Stay put…”

“Can’t we break the necklace now?” I was impatient.

I didn’t want to see Yuri suffering any longer.

“You see… We need something else… It’s the last key that you’ll need in order to destroy the necklace.”

“What is it?” I hissed.

“Yuri’s tear.”

“BWOH!”

“It’s the only way… We need to find a way to get near her.”

“Why didn’t you get it earlier, we’ve seen her cry a lot!”

“The tear needs to be fresh, now, NO MORE QUESTIONS!” he groaned before leaving me all alone.

He left in the speed of light.

 

Jessica’s POV

 

Krystal!

I thought to myself as I saw her tied up in a cell.

I managed to get to her without anyone noticing… after all, I am invisible.

“Unnie! Get out, now!”

“Ani… We still have work to do!” I hushed her up as I removed the ropes that tried her wrist and ankle.

We both turned invisible and watch the scene from the second floor.

 

“NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU HURT ME, NOTHING HURTS AS MUCH AS YOU FAILING TO BE A GOOD FATHER! YOU’RE THE REASON MOM IS DEAD! YOU DIDN’T EVEN CARE! ALL YOU CARED ABOUT IS GETTING YOU STUPID REVENGE!” Nichkhun screamed as he got back up.

“SHUT UP! YOU KNOW NOTHING!”

“OH! I KNOW EVERYTHING! WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH YOUR LIFE THEN? AFTER YOU GET YOUR REVENGE. TAKE A LOOK AROUND! EVERYONE HATES YOU!” he was starting to tear up now.

“Umma loved you so much with all her heart. She gave up her life just so you could be happy. She sacrificed her own life so you would regain strength. She was the one who truly loved you! Yet you completely treated her like trash!” Nichkhun carried on.

“I don’t want to hear it!” The dark angel spoke coldly.

“WELL I’M GOING TO MAKE YOU HEAR IT!” Nichkhun screamed.

 

“I am NOTHING like you so never, and I mean NEVER compare us or even relate us to each other because I know how to let go!” He spoke between breaths.

“That’s why I’m letting you go Yuri…” Nichkhun sighed out.

 

I could see Krystal tearing up.

I didn’t even notice that I too was tearing up.

Nichkhun has suffered a lot and yet here he is.

With still so much strength in him.

 

Suddenly I noticed something.

It was TOP.

He was sneaking up behind the dark angel and Yuri who too was tearing up.

“What is he doing?!” Krystal hissed.

Out of nowhere Nichkhun’s older brother began attacking TOP.

 

And just like in power rangers, TOP suddenly had armor on.

And it wasn't long until they were both fighting.

 

Minho’s POV

 

“GAAAAAH!” I heard TOP groan out loud.

My eyes widened. Something tells me that things aren’t going smoothly as planned.

I made my way to where the only hallway in the cave.

Right before I turned around the corner, I took a peak to see if it was safe.

I didn’t want to make things worst

 

I could see TOP and Nichkhun fighting against some men.

And Yuri was being dragged by the dark angel away from them.

 

Eotteokhe?

I have no power.

I don’t have the same strength as Nichkhun and TOP.

How could I possibly defend Yuri?

 

But there’s something inside me that made me stronger… braver.

I suddenly felt a gush of wind on my side.

“Minho, what are you doing here? Didn’t TOP tell you to stay put?” I heard Jessica whisper in my ear but I couldn’t see her.

“I can’t take it, I have to do it now!” I groaned before I rushed in the middle of their battlefield.

“STOP!” I screamed at the TOP of my lungs.

 

There was silence.

Nichkhun was pinned to the ground while TOP was recovering from the fight.

Everyone stared at me, even the men who were fighting with TOP and Nichkhun stopped beating the crap out of them.

The dark angel turned around and so did Yuri.

The dark angel has a smug smile on his face while Yuri looked horrified.

 

“I can’t let you take her!” I spoke firmly.

“What are you doing?” TOP scolded.

“Awww… So looks like your prince charming came to the rescue, huh?” The dark angel caressed her cheeks.

I could feel my heart beating loud and my blood boiling with anger.

“DON’T TOUCH HER!” I glared.

All of a sudden he pushed Yuri to me.

 

I caught Yuri and we both hugged each other tightly.

“I’ll let you two have a moment alone…” The dark angel surprisingly suggested.

“Oh look, you moment just expired.” He smirked and grabbed me.

 

“MINHO!” Yuri was crying now.

Which was good because there were tears but the thing is that HOW can I get those tears to fall on my necklace?

I tried to get out of the dark angels grasp but he was too strong.

 

“I just came up with an idea…. Seeing the person you love… DIE... would be a better revenge.” The dark angel laughed.

“Please, don’t!” Yuri pleaded.

 

“SWORD!” He spoke out and one of the guards quickly gave him one and he kept it near my stomach.

“YOU SAID YOU WOULDN’T HURT HIM! THAT WAS THE DEAL!” Yuri shouted.

“Well… I lied.” He seemed to just shrug it off.

“Now, watch this really closely.” He spoke directly to Yuri.

 

I closed my eyes, waiting for the pain.

I heard a gasp… am I dead yet?

I opened my eyes, expecting to see a bright light but instead I saw a bleeding Nichkhun.

 

“SON!” The dark angel dropped his sword and ran to his bleeding soon who had a sword piercing his stomach.

 

“WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!” The dark angel screamed as he kneeled down to his son who was now on the floor.

I ran to Yuri and we hugged each other.

I quickly wiped her tears but then kept it on the necklace.

The necklace glowed a bit… now all it needed was the potion.

 

“Because it has to end here…  I forgive you appa… Just… leave them alone.” Nichkhun gasped out those words as his last breath.

Yuri cried even more as she buried her face on my chest.

 

“YOU!” The dark angel was aiming at Yuri now.

I quickly got up and took out the potion from my pocket.

“I WISH YOU WOULD KILL YOUR OWN BOYFRIEND!” The dark angel spoke out angrily.

But Yuri wasn’t moving, well obviously, it wouldn’t work… The necklace that the dark angel was wearing wasn’t real.

 

“Why aren’t you granting my wish?!” he seemed impatient.

“Because… This is the real necklace.” I took the necklace out from my shirt so it could be visible.

 

“BWOH! ANGWAE!” He screamed.

I opened the potion lid.

But before I could place a drop on the necklace I kissed Yuri passionately.

“I wish time would stop.” I whispered as we pulled away and it did.

Everyone was frozen, even the dark angel.

I placed my forehead against hears.

“I have to do this… even though I don’t want to.” I tried not to tear up though I couldn’t stop my voice from shaking.

“I love you with all my heart… I just want you safe.” Tears now escaped from my eyes.

Yuri was already crying.

“I love you too.” She hugged me tightly.

“Maybe, it wasn’t our time… But I do know that we’re destined to be together and that faith would find a way to bright us back together… someday.” I spoke in between my breath.

As we pulled away I quickly dropped the potion on my necklace and it began glowing brightly and so did Yuri.

 

“Goodbye.” I spoke and soon everyone weren’t frozen anymore.

Yuri continued floating in the air.

I could hear the dark angel protesting in anger in the background as I continued to stare at Yuri who was slowly disappearing.

And soon, she was gone.

I wiped my tears and faced the dark angel.

 

“YOU RUINED EVEYRTHING! YOU’RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!” The dark angel aimed at me.

I closed my eyes.

That’s the only thing that I could do.

“Minho oppa!”

“Minho-yah!”

“Tsk, pabo Minho-yah!”

Words began to echo in my head as I tried to open my eyes.

“Huh? What happened?” I sat myself up and soon my eyes began to focus.

There were so many people surrounding me.

“You’re alive!!!!” Jonghyun threw himself to me.

 

I was stunned. What happened?

“What are you talking about?” I asked as I sat up.

“There was an earthquake! We all thought you were dead!” Taemin yelled at me.

 

Bwoh… Wait a minute…

Something seems familiar.

“Krystal found you. Taemin started freaking out after the earthquake saying that you’re still in the bathroom having a diarrhea attack.” Key stated.

 

Wait… So if Krystal found me… that means… those things never happened?

Was it all just a dream?

But it couldn’t be…

It all seemed so real, is Yuri just my imagination?

“I really recommend that you go home now oppa.” Krystal insisted.

“Ani, I’m alright” I smiled at her.

She gave me an unsure look but then she agreed.

 

We were walking around the SM campus.

The briefing has ended.

I can’t believe it… It was the SM campus opening day.

The day that I met Yuri… well that was in my “dream”.

Was it really just a dream?

 

I was busy zooming out when I bumped into someone.

“Aigoo.” I heard a feminine voice.

“Mianhe.” I bowed right away.

Just then I looked into those beautiful eyes.

“Oh no, it’s my fault.” She giggled.

 

That giggle, that smile… that voice.

“Yuri…?” I gasped out.
