Minho’s POV

 

I didn’t want to talk to anyone.

And then here comes TOP reminding me about Yuri again.

 

Honestly I gave him straight forward answers so he’ll leave me alone.

But he’s not getting the message and continues talking.

 

“Something’s up… she wouldn’t have just broken up with you just for that…” he mumbled.

I stared at him for a while.

What is he talking about?

 

“And I think Yuri might be in trouble.” He sighed out.

“BWOH? WAE!”

 

“Come with me.” He stood up from his kneeling position and so did I.

He held out his hands and I took it.

We were now in front of someone’s house.

 

“What are we doing here?” I asked.

“You’ll see.” He rang the doorbell.

The house was pretty big.

I looked at the side and spotted a familiar car.

“Why are we at Nichkhun’s house?” I asked yet again but this time TOP didn’t say anything.

Soon the door opened.

Nichkhun’s face appeared. He looked stressed and his eyes were pretty dark.

“What’s wrong with you?” TOP asked.

 

Nichkhun completely ignored him and glared at me “NEO!” he yelled and to my surprise, he punched me.

 

“NICHKHUN!” I could hear TOP screaming as Nichkhun was slowly being dragged away from me.

 

“HOW DARE YOU SHOW YOUR FACE TO ME AFTER HURTING YURI? YURI DOESN’T DESERVE YOU!” He shouted.

I looked down… he was right. “I know.”

“THEN STAY AWAY FROM HER! YOU’VE DONE ENOUGH TROUBLE!” he yelled.

“Arasso.” I nodded and Nichkhun went back inside his house, slamming the door.

 

“Wae? Why did you just agree?” TOP asked.

“Because he’s right. Yuri deserves better. I’ve never treated her right. I’ve always taken Yuri for granted…” I admitted and I was ashamed.

 

“Well you should know something.” TOP patted me on my shoulder before putting the palm of his hands of his on my forehead.

“Wae?” I asked but to my surprise a flood of visions rushed in my mind.

 

Out of nowhere Yuri’s face appeared.

 

At first it was hard to see because there was so much light.

(Refer to Chapter 1)

 

Then I found myself falling and hitting my head by the stairs.

“OMO!” Yuri shouted.

I remembered the surrounding. It was when I first found the lamp in the basement.

“EOTTEOKHE?” she was panicking as an unconscious version of me lay on the floor.

“I need someone to help him!” she looked around and saw the stairs.

She quickly ran up.

At that same moment Krystal was walking by.

 

Yuri curled her finger and Krystal lost her balance leading her to the door of the basement.

Krystal then saw me unconscious.

 

So that’s how Krystal found me…

Yuri helped her.

 

Suddenly the next scene was when Yuri and I were talking.

(Refer to Chapter 2)

WHEW! Whenever the scene changes I could feel a gush of wind hitting my face.

 

It was during our first meeting when I was tied up on the bed.

“OMO! He’s gotta be the most handsome master I’ve had.” I heard her voice.

But what was odd was that didn’t more and I don’t recall her saying it.

 

Could I be hearing what she’s thinking?

Well... I DID feel the same ways... She was beautiful.

I remember being mesmerized by her beauty.

 

Then the scene changed.

 

“You have a well-toned body.” She giggled.

I looked at rear view mirror to see Yuri seating at the back seat.

“Pfth, stop being a ert!” I tried to reduce the awkward atmosphere.

Yuri gasps “I am not a ert! It’s your fault you looked at your body when I specifically told you not to!”

“I only looked for a second!” I argued. “This whole thing is whack! Now I have to watch out where I’m looking at?”

 

“HAHAHAHA! I didn’t really see anything. It’s just funny to .

And his reaction is pretty cute.” Yuri’s voice appeared again.

 

I remember this scene.

It was in the car, after the whole shower incident.

So she thought I was cute huh.

 

I must say it was pretty awkward after that conversation... I was really embarrassed.

But I'm glad she didn't actually see me shirtless.

 

And once again the scene changed.

“…I know my first wish!” I stared at her and she seemed excited about it because she started to rub her palms together.

“Say your wish, and I shall grant it!” she giggled. “Oh and master, I do not mean to intrude but when you make a wish, PLEASE, choose your words carefully.” She reminded.

“I wish everyone could see you!” I went straight to the point.

There was a moment of silence.

 

Ohhh… this was from my first wish!!!

Of course I remember this.

Now I’ll know what she was thinking about when she kept quiet.

 

“OUT OF ALL THE OTHER WISHES HE COULD HAVE MADE, HE HAD TO CHOOSE THAT ONE! Aigo… But I can’t tell him the consequences of that wish… It doesn’t concern him…”

 

Consequence, what consequence?

Why didn't she tell me that there were going to be consequences?

 

Then the scene changed.

It was when I first took Yuri shopping.

 

“Master Minho, you are very kind.” She smiled at me before pinching my cheeks.

That’s a pretty weird gesture

“Yeah, when everyone can see you, don’t do that.” I messed her hair up.

 

“WOW! Master Minho is such a nice person!! I’m glad his my master… And maybe someday, he’ll consider me as his friend.” Her voice echoed.

 

Aww! That’s really sweet.

 

“Great! Now, we can get you to a hair salon!” I smiled before dragging her to another part of the mall.

“Why is everyone staring at me? Wait… whose that guy?” Yuri thought as she looked to the side.

 

I saw a shadow. I didn’t notice it before.

But I squinted my eyes to see clearer and it was TOP.

So, he’s been protecting her ever since, but wait!

There’s another shadow… It’s the same person who threatened me in Jeju Island and asked me where the necklace was.

 

So Yuri’s been in trouble ever since I’ve made my first wish.

So that’s the consequence that she’s talking about.

Everyone will get to see her now… even magical creatures which puts her in danger.

What have I done?

 

Then the scene changed.

 

It was the day of her audition at SM.

“There’s so many people.” Yuri suddenly held on to my shirt.

I know how she felt. My heart was about to explode when they called my name during my audition.

“257, you’re up!” a staff membered announced.

“Don’t worry… It’ll be alright.” I assured her.

“Just be yourself, well not your genie self.” I tried to make her laugh but nothing. She usually always smiles.

“Don’t forget to smile!” I reminded her before she entered the audition room.

 

“Deep breathe Yuri, deep breath. Just do you best! Don’t worry, Minho will help you through it.” She thought.

 

So she’s been trusting me ever since. WOW…

So that means her trust for me is so great ever since.

Then why did she break up with me?
I already explained myself.
 

 

Then the scene changed.

(Refer to Chapter 5)

 

It was me, walking out of the SHINee practice room.

I remember this moment.

It was when Onew announced that they wanted all the trainee’s to audition again.

 

“Oh! What’s Minho doing all alone?” I heard Yuri’s voice.

I saw slowly approaching me as I sat on a bench by the pond.

But then Krystal sat next to me.

Yuri hid behind a tree.

 

“Master Minho looks really upset… Awwww… they’re hugging! I saw a scene like this in My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho. I bet they both like each other. Ohhh she’s gone now. Let me go and try to cheer him up!” Yuri spoke excitedly.

 

“You like her don’t you?” I teased.

Minho just rolled his eyes. “Is she your girlfriend?” I asked again.

“Can you please just go away, I’m not in the mood!” he suddenly yelled.

I was taken back. He’s never talked to me like that before.

“A-Arasso…” I spoke softly “If you need me, just call me.” I tried to smile then I snapped myself out.

 

I can’t believe I said that… She was only trying to make me happy.

 

And I remember that after all that I’ve been avoiding her.

I’ve been hanging with Krystal often.

And I don’t know why…

It must have been when Krystal used her potion on me.

 

Then the scene changed.

(Refer to Chapter 6)

 

It was when I took Yuri out to an amusement park.

We were at the Ferris wheel.

 

“WHERE’D YOU GET THAT?” Yuri suddenly exclaimed

I raised an eyebrow “From my grandfather, why?”

Yuri suddenly looked around.

“This cannot be good!” she hissed then with a swing of her hands the ferries wheel began to work again and everyone started clapping.

 

“OMO! Why does he have the necklace? But so far I haven’t seen any threat so I guess he should be ok for now… I hope.”

 

So Yuri already knew about the danger I was in.

Why is she hiding so many things from me?

 

Then the scene changed.

 

I could hear loud music.

And many SM artists.

Where’s Yuri? I looked around.

Then I found her in the backyard.

 

She seems horrified, she seems to have trouble breathing.

Suddenly a laugh echoed in my head.

Is this what Yuri’s been hearing? Could it be the dark angel?

 

Suddenly she lost consciousness

And she stayed on the ground until Yoona and the rest found her.

 

The scene fast forwarded.

 

Now we were back home.

And she suddenly woke up

“Never let this necklace out of your sight… please?” she

“A-Arasso.” I held on to the necklace and she quickly hugged me.
 

 

“You’ll be safe now…” Yuri spoke as she held the necklace.

I didn’t realize it back then but it glowed.

 

So this was the time when she charmed the necklace to protect me.

 

Then once again, the scene changed.

 

I could sense that there was someone watching me.

“Yuri ah?” I asked but I got no reply.

 

It was the time after we had a SHINee debut celebration at my house.

 

I saw what Yuri was doing inside the lamp.

She was relaxing.

But then behind me a shadow appeared and it seemed to be aiming ath the necklace.

 

The moment it stepped closer to me the necklace grew brighter and at the same time Yuri started breathing heavily.

 

“M-Minho…” Yuri’s voice called out my name.

 

That’s when I felt a sudden strength.

So all this time I was taking Yuri’s strength and she’s been suffering… Just to protect me.

How come she never told me it was this serious.

 

So this is the reason why she’s always been sick.

 

The scene fast forwarded.

It was the day umma came to visit and Yuri excused herself.

(Refer to Chapter 8)

 

Yoona found Yuri in the corner looking as pale as ever.

“OMO! ARE YOU ALRIGHT YUL?” she kneeled so I could talk to her better.

“N-Ne.” Yuri tried to smile “Just give me a few more minutes… I think I’m just hungry.”

It’s obvious that she’s lying. “Should I call Minho?” Yoona asked.

“ANI!” Yuri tried to say it boldly but then it sounded like a whisper.

“Why not?” Yoona tried to convince her.

“Promise me you’ll never tell Minho. Ok?” Yuri asked.

“A-Arasso…” Yoona sighed out.

 

I didn’t realize that my tears were falling.

She endured so much pain to protect me.

 

Then the scene fast forwarded.

It was when she came back from meeting our fellow artist at the restaurant and umma asked her to watch a clip of Krystal and I.

“WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU YURI?! Control your heat!” she scolded herself… In her mind ofcourse.

 

Then the scene changed again.

It was during the filming of Gee.

I was about to leave.

 

“I have to get going. I have rehearsals with SHINee.” He tried to excuse myself.

“Minho yah, Krystal says good luck!” Jessica screamed as he was heading out.

Minho turned around and his face slightly turned red.

 

“Does Minho really like Krystal?” Yuri’s voice echoed.

Soon all the other members except Jessica ran up to her.

 

 “Yul ah!” Yoona suddenly hugged me.

“What’s wrong with you?” she asked.

Tiffany and Seohyun came up.

“C’mon, we know you like him.” Seohyun teased.

“I do not!” Yuri screamed.

“Yes, you do! I don’t know if you noticed but you always mention him.” Tiffany rolled her eyes.

“Really?” Yuri asked, trying to recall any moment that I talked about him.

“Like, whenever you feel drained you say ‘I hope Minho yah is ok!’.” Sunny joined in.

“And whenever a dream team game comes on you’re the one who seems most excited about it.” Hyoyeon teased as well.

“Just admit that you like him!” Sooyoung spoke with her mouthful.

 

Oh wow… They had this conversation behind my back.

 

“Who cares if you like him, we all know he likes Krystal.” Jessica butted in.

 

“Jessica is right… WAIT! WHAT AM I THINKING? It’s not like I have feelings for Minho. We genies do NOT have feelings… right?” she talked to herself.

 

The scene fast forwarded to when we were supposed to meet at the beach.

 

“Alright Yuri! Here we are! GOOD LUCK! Taeyeon gave her a big hug before she stepped out of her car.

Yuri waved at her and soon Taeyeon disappeared from my sight.

“Oh shot, I forgot my jacket!” Yuri hissed

“I guess he won’t take long… “ she smiled to herself.

She looked at her watch 6:57pm.

 

I saw Yuri shivering in the cold.

I felt really bad. She endured the winter for me.

Then out of nowhere TOP appeared.

 

I watched as he wrapped his jacket around Yuri.

 “MINHO!” she screamed but as she turned around it was someone else.

 

“Yuri, Yuri, Yuri!” TOP spoke.

“It’s almost winter and you decide to come to the beach wearing a dress at night with no jacket! Good thing I brought mine.” He smiled.

 “Mianhe, but who are you?” Yuri asked innocently.

“You don’t need to know that now…” he looked into the water.

Yuri stared at him.

“But here’s something that you DO need to know.” He looked at Yuri.

 “You’re slowly becoming human…” he spoke softly.

 

“What? This stranger knows my true identity?!” Yuri panicked in her mind.

“What are you talking about? I am human.” she tried to play it cool.

“You’re not fooling anyone.” He smiled “I’ve been watching you Kwon Yuri.” He continued.

“I already know who you really are, you’re a genie.” He winked.

 

“How did you know that?” Yuri gasped.

He smiled.

“You need to stop whatever is happening to you.” He spoke, completely ignoring her question.

She frowned, cause she didn’t know what he meant,

“You’re slowly turning back to being human… That needs to stop.” He kept a straight face.

“Turning back? What do you mean?” she asked.

He suddenly stood up.

“It’s getting pretty late, and if I’m correct, your curfew is at 11 and it’s already 10:55.” He helped her up.

“What about my question?” she asked.

“I’ll tell you about it some other time.” He winked and started walking off leaving her dumbfolded.

 

So that means that Yuri knew that she was becoming human… she’s known it all along,

Could I be the reason why she’s turning human?

 

Then It fast forwarded to when Yuri woke up after she got the fever.

(Refer to Chapter 12)

 

“See, I told you guys Krystal and Minho were inlove!” Jessica smirked.

“Why is my heart aching?” Yuri asked her self.

“Yul! You’re awake!” Sunny and the rest of the members coming towards her

She smiled “HI GUYS!”

They were all looking at her in a weird way, they probably knew she saw the whole thing.

“That wasn’t the end; Minho and Krystal are together right now as we speak!” Jessica smiled before going to her room.

Yuri took a deep breath and smiled.

 

“I don’t know why but I feel…jealous.” Yuri sighed out.

 

So So Nyuh Shi Dae Noona’s already know that she has feelings for me.

And all this time she’s been hurting.

All because of me… and I was too blind to see it.

 

The scene changed yet again.

(Refer to Chapter 16)

 

“YOU HAD A DATE WITH NICHKHUN?!” Yoona yelled.

“It’s not a date. It’s just a dinner between two friends.” Yuri explained.

“I can’t believe it, what about MINHO OPPA!” Seohyun nagged.

Yuri raised a brow “What about him?”

“Hello! What do you think’s going to be his reaction when he finds out?” Tiffany sat down on my bed.

“Nothing.” Yuri seemed confident.

“Aigo! How can you be so naïve?” Taeyeon walked away and so did the rest of them.

“What was that supposed to mean?” she asked myself.

 

“Why are they all acting like Minho would get mad? He doesn’t really care about me…” Yuri mumbled to herself before going to her room.

 

DON’T SAY THAT YUL!

I did like you back then. I just didn't know...

Well actually, I guess I knew had feelings for her.

But I've been just distracted by Krystal's potion.

 

Do you have any idea how jealous I got when you were with Nichkhun?

 

Then the scene changed.

(Refer to Chapter 17)

 

It was when I had the dream team accident.

Umma and Yuri were both staring at me.

 

Yuri closed my eyes and began to heal me.

“Yuri ah! STOP!” I could hear umma yelling and soon Yuri collapsed.

 

She sacrificed so much to protect me.

 

Suddenly my eyes flew open.

And I was back in reality.

TOP slowly removed his hands from my forehead and he too slowly opened his eyes,

 

“Now you know how she feels about you… She had always loved you, she just doesn’t know it’s love”  TOP whispered.

I nodded.

“Don’t give up too easily.” He patted my shoulders yet again.

“I won’t.” I smiled.

 

TOP’S POV

 

I don’t think I should show Minho what kind of danger Yuri’s in right now.

I’ll leave that till later.

Right now… I have to talk to Nichkhun.

I pressed the doorbell again and this time I took a deep breath.
