Minho’s POV

My head still hurts from last night and I honestly didn’t feel like doing anything.

“Hyung, don’t you have a dream team recording later?” Taemin reminded me.

I groaned then took out my phone.

35 missed calls.

They were all from umma.

I forgot to tell her I wasn’t going home.

Minho:

Good Morning umma.

I’m sorry I forgot to call you last night.

Don’t worry, I’m ok. I’m at Onew hyung’s house.

We just had a little get together.

I hope you understand.

I LOVE YOU UMMA!

I closed my phone.

“C’mon hyung, I haven’t drunk so I could drive you to the set.” Maknae offered.

I nodded, “Let me shower first.” I got up.

~On the set of Dream Team~

“Are you sure can film today?” Junho hyung asked.

I tried to smile “Ne hyung, don’t worry.”

“Ok, now all you have to do is run, jump, grab on to the pillar and swing yourself to the other end.” Brian hyung instructed me.

“This isn’t the hardest thing we’ve done, I’m sure this would be a piece of cake for you.” Junho smiked.

The crowd went wild as Minho took his position.

I felt pain as I fell, from both my neck and my chest.

Neck due to the fall, but I don’t know why my chest was hurting.

It made it even harder to get up.

I could see Junho and Brian hyung running to aid me.

The pain was over taking my body.

As I was grabbing my neck I realized something… The necklace… It was gone.

Then everything went blur.

Someone’s POV

I watched as Minho got ready for his Dream Team challenge.

I have a good feeling that I can get the necklace this time.

Minho jumped in the air and that’s when I took my chance.

I quickly zapped him and it worked.

That was surprisingly easy. But I’ve been zapping him before, why did it only work now?

I quickly appeared to where he was laying and took a look at his neck.

“WHAT? WHERE’S THE NECKLACE!!!” I screamed but as usual, no one could hear or see me.

Yuri’s POV

We were all crying tears of joy. We couldn’t believe that this is the 8^th time ‘Gee’ has won at Music Bank.

We had just gotten off stage when I got a call.

Yuri: Umma!

Umma: Yuri ah, I…. ummm… can, can, can you come here?

Yuri: Is there something wrong umma? Where are you?

Umma: It’s M-Minho…

My heart stopped.

Yuri: I’ll pop myself there!

“CONGRATULATIONS!” Nichkhun came out of nowhere.

“Gomawo, but I have to go.” I quickly ran far away and popped myself out.

I found myself in a hospital.

My heart that has stopped beating was beating as fast now as I stared at the door in front of me. I took a deep breath before entering.

I saw umma holding Minho’s hands, crying.

I stared at Minho who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed.

Water started coming out of my eyes.

But then I spotted something “The necklace” I gasped.

Umma looked right at me and she too looked at his neck.

“Omo. It’s gone!” her eyes widened.

I shook my head.

This can’t be! Now someone out there has the necklace and could use it for evil.

I gulped before walking closer to Minho and putting my hand on his chest.

I closed my eyes and began to heal him.

I could feel my energy being drained. I was getting weaker and weaker.

“Yuri ah! STOP!” I could hear umma yelling.

I don’t want to. This is happening to Minho because of the necklace that I gave to his grandfather.

It all leads back to me.

Then everything turned black.

Minho’s POV

I slowly opened my eyes, I felt a hundred times better.

During the period of my unconsciousness I could hear voices.

I could hear Yuri’s voice.  I think she figured out that the necklace was gone.

She must be mad.

I slowly stood up to see a bunch of food, cards and flowers on the table.

I smiled to myself. “Where’s umma?” I asked myself.

I got off the bed; I didn’t feel the need to. I walked out of the hospital room and took a look around.

But then I heard umma’s voice coming from the next room.

I took a peak through the small window at the door but all I could see was umma sitting down on the bed, talking to someone. But I couldn’t see who it was.

I leaned in trying to hear their conversation.

“Yul ah… why are you doing this to yourself?” Umma mumbled.

My eyes widened, YURI?!

Did she pass out again?
 

“Minho is so lucky to have you… I’m so lucky to have you. You’re family now.” Umma smiled as she talked to herself.

I bit my bottom lip as I tried to listen more.

“Why are you putting yourself in danger for him?” she sighed, choking up with her own words.

I couldn’t take it anymore and I walked in.

Umma looked shocked.

“MINHO! YOU SHOULD BE IN BED!” She scolded.

I didn’t reply. I just stared at the pale Yuri lying before me.

“What do you mean umma?” I asked.

Umma looked down, she was obviously hiding something from me.

“Tell me umma!” I commanded her.

She stood up “Ok, but not here.”

We walked outside towards the hospital garden.

“I know everything.” She started off.

“Everything?”

“Yes, everything meaning Yuri… being a genie.” She sighed off.

I was shocked “How?”

Umma told me everything she knows, which is what I already know too.

But she still hasn’t my main question.

“Why is Yuri getting sick?” I asked.

There was silence.

“She’s protecting you Minho yah…”

“Me? Protecting ME? From what? If there’s anything I should be protecting HER, I’m the guy!”

Umma shook her head “But she’s the genie.”

“That’s one of their duties. To protect their master.” She explained.

She never mentioned that to me before.

“Then what is she protecting me from?” I asked curiously.

Umma shrugged “I don’t know…”

“Do you think it has something to do with the necklace?” I asked.

Umma stared at me.

So that’s why Yuri told me never to remove the necklace.

Yuri must have kept something on it that would protect me, and earlier, when the necklace has been taken, I’m not protected anymore.

And whenever I feel stronger, Yuri gets weaker.

I’ve noticed it but I’ve always thought it was just coincidence.

The necklace is also the reason why I don’t feel pain, but right now, even with the necklace gone.

Why am I not feeling pain again?

It was all coming to me. Everything was linking together.

“I’m the reason why Yuri’s unconscious, right?” I whispered.

Umma bit her bottom lip.

Yuri’s POV

“Minho….” I murmured.

I tried to open my eyes but I couldn’t. It felt too heavy.

I need to make sure that Minho’s ok!

“Shhh!” I heard his voice.

Then I felt someone my hair.

I couldn’t help it, water came falling from my eyes which were still closed.

But then a sudden rush came to me making me gasp.

“YUL! ARE YOU OK?” His voice slowly began fading again.

I could see a bright light.

Am I going to heaven?
I asked myself.

I could see a figure of a man.

Coming closer and closer.

I couldn’t believe it!

I watched his face clearly as he smiled.

“I’m your new master now…” echoed in my head.

I don’t know what happened but “and our wish is my command!” came out of my lips.

The man smirked.
