Jessica’s POV

 

I sneaked out of our dorm that same night Krystal told me that the potion was wearing off.

I had to take action, Yuri should experience the pain I felt and if possible, even more!

“Jessica?” I heard a man voice as I was waiting at a building’s rooftop.

“What job do you have for me?” he asked. I turned around.

 

I smiled “It’s simple.” I showed him a picture of Yuri.

“All you have to do is make that girl on the picture fall in love with you.”

He smirked as he stared at the picture “Easy”

“But she’s a genie…” I broke the news to him.

 

I watched his face reaction, he seems unsure but then he nodded.

“How do I meet her?” he asked.

“Tomorrow, there’s a Korean band debuting soon. I’ve already found a way to put you in so leave that to me. I can persuade humans easily.” I smiled.

 

Yuri’s POV

 

I checked my phone the moment I got off stage.

 

Umma:

You did great honey! I’m making dinner later, how about stopping by?

 

Yuri:

Thank you umma! I’ll be there by 7: 00 pm! ^^

 

“Yuri!” Jessica called out.

That was odd, she has always been ignoring.

“I have someone who I want you to meet!” she smiled and grabbed my hand.

“Where are you taking me?” I asked as she dragged me towards the other side of the studio.t

 

 

“Yuri, I want you to meet my friend. Nichkhun.” Jessica formally introduced us to each other.

We shook hands.

“You did great!” he smiled.

WOW! He’s really charming.

“Thank you!” I smiled as well.

 

“Well, I’ll let you two socialize!” Jessica winked at both of us before leaving us alone.

I giggled. His eyes widened.

“Is there something in my face?” he asked in shock.

I shook my head, “No, it’s that expression of yours. Stop staring at me!” I slightly pushed him.

“I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it.” He rubbed the back of his neck.

 

“So, how did you become friends with Jessica?” I asked.

“We were…ummm… childhood friends.” He grinned.

“You know I’m about to debut soon” he added.

I was surprised, “Really? Well you do have the look for it.” I admitted.

“Thanks, now Jessica said that you’re the best person to get an advice from!” he spoke as we sat down.

“Chinja?” I never thought Jessica had that in her. He nodded.

 

Minho’s POV

 

“Yuri should be here soon!” Umma spoke as she started laying down the food.

I nodded and helped her.

 

I’m glad that umma and Yuri are bonding. Yuri’s like family now.

It’s almost been 30 minutes and still no Yuri.

 

I heard a car pulling out the drive way.

I looked outside to see if it was any of the SHINee members.

 

I’ve never seen that car before though.

I kept staring until the passenger seat’s door opened.

Yuri? Then the driver seat’s door opened.

Who’s that guy?

 

I watched as their every move.

They smiled then hugged before saying goodbye.

 

I walked back to the dining area and sat down.

“Minho yah, are you ok?” Umma asked.

“I’m fine!” My voice kinda yelled. But I didn’t mean to.

I don’t know what has gotten in me.

 

Then the door opened.

“Yuri ah!” Umma rushed to hug her.

“I’m sorry I’m late.” She apologized.

“No worries, shall we eat?” umma asked.

“YES!” Yuri and I both said together making umma giggle.

 

“So, who’s that friend of yours who dropped you off just now?” I asked. I’ve been holding that question in for a while now. And I don’t know why I’m even curious.

“Oh, Nichkhun. Jessica introduced me to him, he’s about to debut so he asked for some advice.” She said innocently.

“I see.” I blankly replied.

 

I can see umma smiling. “Why are you smiling umma?”

“Nothing she stuffed her face with food.”

 

“I’ll help you wash up.” Yuri started taking the plates and putting them on the sink as we finished eating.

Out of nowhere umma and I heard a crash.

We ran to Yuri to see a broken plate on the floor and he next to it.

 

She was breathing unevenly with her eyes closed and her hands near her heart.

“YUL, ARE YOU OK?!” I asked. Umma was already tearing up.

 

Is this what Siwon hyung was talking about? Has she been suffering like this for a while now.

I had no idea what to do! “Do we take her to the hospital?” I asked umma.

She shook her head “Bring her to my room, I’ll take care of her there.” She quickly ran to her room.

I carried Yuri bridal style. “Please be ok…” I whispered.

 

Mysterious Guy’s POV

 

“Who is Yuri with?” I asked myself as I closed my eyes to see what she was doing.

“Nichkhun?” I mumbled. Who’s Nichkhun?

 

“HYUNG! WE’RE GOING OUT FOR DINNER! WANT TO COME?” I heard the youngest member of our group scream.

“NO THANKS! I WANT TO REST!” I screamed back.

I heard the door close and there was silence.

I closed my eyes again.

 

IT’S HAPPENING AGAIN!

 

I panicked as I saw Yuri breathing heavily….suffering.

I couldn’t quite put my finger on why she’s experiencing this kind of pain.

 

I know that she is slowly becoming human but she shouldn’t be feeling pain.

Then there he was again… I thought I told him to back off!

 

But wait… he’s not after Yuri… he’s after that guy who’s with her.

I’ve seen him before. I think he’s a SHINee member… right?

But the main question is, WHY?

 

Mrs. Choi’s POV

 

I couldn’t bear seeing her like this.

But I couldn’t do anything about it.

“Umma, what’s wrong with Yuri?” Minho asked.

I couldn’t tell him the truth.

“She’s just tired.” I lied.

“You should get some rest too; I’ll take care of her.” I assured Minho who seems unsure but then obeyed and went to his room.

 

Yul ah… what am I going to do with you?

 

Minho’s POV

 

I couldn’t sleep well last night.

I couldn’t stop thinking about Yuri.

Like who was she with last night? Who was Nichkhun? And why is Yuri falling sick all of a sudden.

 

I walked down stairs to find Yuri preparing breakfast.

“Yul, what are you doing up so early in the morning? I’ll take care of breakfast, go rest.” I approached her.

She giggled “I’m alright. I was just tired.”

I wasn’t buying it.

“Was this the first time it happened to you?” I asked.

“Umm… yeah!” she lied.

 

I rolled my eyes.

“Well, since you’re feeling better how about I treat you for lunch?” I smiled.

She seemed surprised “Really?”

I nodded.

 

~LUNCH TIME~

 

 

We entered my favourite restaurant with Yuri wearing disguises and quickly headed upstairs which was temporarily close for us.

We removed our disguises and wow…. Yuri looked beautiful.

 

“I can’t believe you’re actually treating me lunch!” she spoke excitedly.

“Why?” I asked.

She seemed unsure of what to reply. “It’s ok, I won’t get offended.”

I assured her.

“Well, I feel like I’m a pest to you. Like I’m always bothering you and I know you’re getting tired of me… which is also the reason why I moved in at the Girls’ Generation dorm. To give you space.” She confessed.

 

I gulped. I never thought I made her feel that way.

“I’m sorry Yuri, for making you feel like that. I just get mood swings sometimes.” I looked down at the menu.

“It’s ok!” she smiled before we began to order.

 

“So, I see you and Krystal are getting close.” She opened up another topic.

I looked at her “You can say that. Krystal and I have been the best of friends since we were young.” I stated a fact.

She nodded while looking away.

“Do you like her?” she suddenly asked.

I was caught off guard but then I have to say the truth. “Yes.”

I watched her expression; she looked down to her nails for a while before looking right at me while smiling.

 

What’s up with this girl? She’s always smiling.

 

“Anyways…” I cleared my throat.

“Nice restaurant” she looked around.

So did I. “Well, my grandfather and I would always eat here after I get my exam results. It’s his way of saying congratulations to me.”

“Oh… this must be a really memorable place for you then.” Yuri stared at my necklace.

“Yeah… it is. This is also my way of saying congratulations to you too!” I said excitedly.

 

Her eyes brightened “Congratulations for what?”

“For being a successful artist!” I rolled my eyes.

She giggled. I miss these times.

 

“Well then congratulations to you too!” she smiled “For having millions of girls fall over you!” she added.

I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“All my hyungs including our maknae has a poster of you on their wall… that’s creepy!” I laughed.

“VERY!” She laughed as well.

 

~CHIME~

 

“Hold on Yul, I’m getting a text.” I took out my phone.

 

Krystal:

Oppa, how about we have lunch together?

 

Minho:

I’m sorry Krystal, I’m already eating lunch.

 

I closed my phone.

“Who was that?” Yul asked.

“Krystal.” I spoke blankly… Her expression changed. I felt the need to make her feel better.

“She wanted me to have lunch with her but then I’m here with you…”

Yuri looked at her nails again “You can go if you want.”

“But, I don’t want to.” I confessed.

Her expression brightened up again and I felt like my heart would melt.

 

I’ve never had this feeling before.

Whenever I see her smiling I feel like smiling too and whenever she’s sad I feel like my hearts being broken in to a million pieces…

 

“WHAT’S HAPPENING TO ME?” I thought in my mind.
