Nichkhun’s POV

 

“YOU LET THEM TAKE HER?!” I screamed.

“I HAD NO CHANCE AGAINST THEM, THEY HAVE POWERS!” Minho screamed back.

 

“THIS IS YOUR FAULT!” I pointed at him.

“MY FAULT! YOU’RE THE ONE WHO TOOK THE NECKLACE IN THE FIRST PLACE! IF IT WASN’T FOR YOU THEY WOULD HAVE NEVER FOUND HER!”

 

“WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO, HUH? LET YOU KEEP THE NECKLACE WHILE THOSE PEOPLE KEEP TRYING TO KILL YOU, BUT THAT’S OK WITH YOU CAUSE YOU’RE NOT THE ONE GETTING HURT ARE YOU? YURI IS!” I broke the news to him.

We had a stare down.

“SHUT UP YOU TWO!” Krystal broke us a part.

 

~Flashback~

 

“WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING JUST STANDING THERE? GO GET US SOMETHING TO DRINK!” Krystal yelled.

Minho and I looked at the two who was playing by the shore.

“She’s safe with me.” I patted Minho’s shoulder.

 

I can’t believe I’m about to do this!

“Here… wear this.” I gave Minho the necklace.

“Chincha? Bwo?” he asked as he grabbed it.

I looked around before communicating with him through our minds.

 

“Minho, we’re not alone in this beach… Someone else is with is.

And whoever they are, they’re after the necklace.

When I give you the sign, you better get the girls out of here.

Put the necklace somewhere they’ll never find. Arasso?”

 

“What are you talking about?” he had a confused look on his face.

 

“Just do as I say! I know what I’m doing!” I tried to convince him.

 

Minho nodded before going to the mini grocery to get us drinks.

I looked around and I found Yuri way far from the shore.

I quickly swam to her, knowing she can’t swim.

 

~End of Flashback~

 

“Why would they want Yuri?” Krystal asked.

I didn’t know either.

“Don’t worry; I’ll talk to my master. Just rest for now.” And with that said I disappeared to our lair.

 

Yuri’s POV

 

I didn’t know what to do!

How could Minho just tell them where the necklace is?!

Isn’t it obvious that they’re bad people?

 

“Hello there my dear.” A man spoke. I couldn’t  see him.

It’s like he was just a shadow.

“Long time no see.” I could hear his voice echo.

“Great job my sons… leave.” He ordered the 3 men who dragged me here.

 

Ok, now I’m really scared.

I just stood there, with the light shining upon only me.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you…. You’re all grown up.”

I have no idea what he was talking about.

 

Then someone flashed in. “KHUN! What are you doing here?” I tried to run to him but there seems to be an invisible thing holding me back.

 

“Master, I plead to you. Please let her go.” Nichkhun bowed his head.

I watched them both… Why is Nichkhun calling him master?

What’s going on?

 

“It’s pretty amazing that I get to see your sweet side. Don’t tell me… you’ve fallen for the genie?” he spoke to Nichkhun.

“Father… please.” This time Nichkhun kneeled.

 

Father? Fallen for me?

 

“Arasso son, just this time.” The man spoke firmly. “We shall meet again, Yuri.”

Next thing I know I was back in the hotel room at Jeju Island.

 

“WHAT JUST HAPPENED?” I was losing it.

“Yuri, let me explain…”

“Where’s the necklace?” I stopped him.

“WHERE IS THE NECKLACE?!” I raised my voice.

Nichkhun kept his head down “It’s back with Minho… I’m not longer your master.”

 

I stopped for a moment.

“Why did you give it back?” I started walking closer to him.

“Because… he deserves it better.” Nichkhun took a step back.

“I’m… I’m not who you think I am…”

“I don’t want to know… well at least not now.” I need time to take it all in.

 

Minho’s POV

 

Eotteokhe?!

What are they doing to Yuri?

I hope she’s ok.

What the heck is Nichkhun up to?

I can’t believe he gave me the necklace back.

 

“STOP PACING! YOU’RE DISTRACTING ME FROM WATCHING DRAMA SERIES!” Krystal groaned.

Then I could hear people screaming.

I stepped out of the hotel room and I couldn’t help myself but eavesdrop.

“Why did you give it back?” Yuri asked.

 

YURI’S BACK!

“YURI ARE YOU OK?” I barged it and I could see both of them staring at me.

Yuri had a shocked expression while Nichkhun has a… depressed expression?

 

“Oh… I’m sorry if I disturbed you both…” I started backing out to the door “Wait!” Yuri stopped me.

“I actually want to talk to you.” She started walking towards me, she took a glance at Nichkhun who’s head is now hung down before closing the door.

“Are you ok? Did you do anything bad to you? Did they hurt you?” I asked as we went down to have tea in the lobby.

 

“No…” she had a weird tone.

“Minho, why did you tell them?”

“Tell them what?” I asked.

“Where the necklace is, I thought you already knew how important it is.” She complained.

 

“Well the thing is that… the necklace is here with me.” I showed her the necklace on my neck.

“It was never in the water. I lied.” I explained.

 

Her expression changed, but not into a happy one as I expected.

“GVIE THAT TO ME NOW!” she tried to remove.

“Ani. Wae?”

“Because now they’re going to look for you.” She looked horrified.

“Well then… I… ummm…” Minho closed his eyes “I wish that this necklace cannot be seen by another mystical creature or anyone who is not human. Except for you.”

She smiled. “That was actually smart thinking. Your wish is my command!”

“Good!” I’m just happy she’s safe.

 

Unknown's POV

 

"Father, how could you have just let him go... and with the genie?" I asked my father, well he prefers we call him 'master'.

"Be patient son. I have a plan. And after all, he is still your younger brother... He'll come around!" he smirked.

 

~The Next Day~

 

Yuri’s POV

 

This is our third day here at Jeju Island, two more to go.

I woke up early to find Nichkhun still sleeping.

 

I stared at him… Who is he? Come to think of it… I have no idea who he is.

He’s nothing but a complete stranger.

 

I stood up and took a shower.

 

Nichkhun,

I just went outside to take a walk.

I’ll be back soon.

I left him a note on his side table before leaving.

 

The sun is still down.

It’s so quiet and peaceful. A great time to think.

 

I closed my eyes and let my thoughts take over me.

 

I miss my lamp. The necklace is safe. Is Nichkhun a good or a bad guy? Krystal’s really nice; I can tell she really likes Minho. Does Minho like her back? Why are they both here in Jeju Island.

Is that only an incredible coincidence? So Minho’s my master again, should I move back to his house? What did that man mean by Nichkhun falling for me? I wonder what it feels like to be liked and to like someone.

 

‘KYAH!” I shouted as I felt someone touch my shoulder.

I turned to see Minho laughing at me.

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

“I couldn’t sleep, what are YOU doing here?”

“Umm, me neither.”

 

There was a really awkward silence.

 

“You know, Krystal really likes you.” I smiled.

Minho stared at me “Yeah… How’d you know?”

“Because I notice that she’s always looking at you.”

“Oh, so that means you’re looking at me too.” He winked.

I rolled my eyes “How does that connect?”

“Well since you look at Krystal looking at something, you look at what she’s looking too. And like you said, she’s always looking at me, so in a way, you’re always looking at me too.” He explained.

“Smartass!” I nudged him.

“So you admit it?”

I meronged him.

 

“So… I guess things are back to normal now.” Minho sighed.

“WOW! I guess they are.” I smiled. That’s gotta be a good sign.

 

We both just kept quiet.

This time, things we’re less awkward.

 

“We should hang out more…” Minho smiled.

“I guess we should.” I smiled back.

 

~Later that Afternoon~

 

Minho’s POV

 

“C’mon we’re going to be late for the tour!” Krystal shouted.

“I got it!” I groaned as he got into the bus.

I spotted Nichkhun and Yuri we’re already sitting down.

They seem to be quiet… too quiet.

 

I smiled and sat on the two seats in front of them with Krystal.

I turned around “I hear we’re going on a little hiking trip! That should be fun.”

“Chincha! I can’t wait.” Yuri giggled with excitement.

 

Nichkhun didn’t seem to move. He just stared out into the window.

 

What’s up with these two?

 

Soon enough we have reached the hiking spot.

 

Krystal asked to stay back and just went on a nearby hair saloon instead.

Yuri was walking in front of Nichkhun, I took this time to find out what was really going on.

 

“Dude, what’s up with you two?” I asked.

Nichkhun just glared at me.

“Get yourself together. You still have a lot of explaining to do.” I acted cold. Just like how he is.

 

“LOOK!” Yuri pointed at an old abandoned house. “Let’s go!”

“We can’t, it’s off trail.” I tried to explain but she didn’t listen.

“DO SOMETHING!” I nudged Nichkhun who seems to be spacing out.

 

Aigoo! I ran after Yuri but the she stopped at the entrance.

She just stared at the door and tears began escaping her eyes.

“Yul, what’s wrong?” I asked as I looked at she was staring at.

“I…I remember this place.” She whispered.
