I was so excited I was practically skipping down the corridor. I was always eager to get to dance class because it was what I loved. It was all I knew. I didn’t waste any time in this school like I did in my last. I used to attend an academy that was located in the mountains and I hated it. It was for developing young entrepreneurs and business successors. All the things my parents wanted me to be. Also all the things I hated. I wanted to be a dancer ever since I was young, so being able to attend that university was the best thing that had ever happened to me. I was so thankful for it, that is why I didn’t slack off and I stopped sleeping around with a lot of guys like I used to.

I reached the dance studio and as usual, I was the first one there. I proceeded to the changing room to slip into sweat pants and a t-shirt. When I came out I saw other students along with a familiar face. A big grin grew on my lips. “Late again, Sehun?” I said in a smug tone. He grinned back at me “I’m still better looking that you, Kai.” He arrogantly said then winked. “Hah! In your dreams!” I said while walking up to him and ruffling his hair. I was glad that he was in that class with me because he was very fun to be around. We shared the same passion for dancing and we were on the same level of skill. He was my biggest rival. He was also one of my closest friends.

That was the last class of the day so after it was over, we changed back into our normal clothes and headed out. “It’s the weekend!” Sehun said in delight while stretching. “What are we going to do today?” He asked in a purr. I shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t know, whatever comes to mind, I guess.” We were contemplating going out while walking back to the dorms and it was only when we were standing in front of the arts department door, just about to leave, that I found myself scanning the whole place, looking for someone.

Sehun noticed what I was doing “Looking for Kyungsoo?” He asked, but already knew the answer. I nodded anyway. He couldn’t have left already. He would always wait for me when it was time to go. I started to wonder if he really did just go back alone when I heard quick footsteps from the hall across. “Hey! Sorry it took so long!” Kyungsoo said in a huff as he approached, running.

 I was secretly relieved he didn’t leave without me, but I didn’t let it show. “It’s fine.” I said with a charming smile, playing it off cool. “Whose room are we heading to?” I asked the both of them. “Your room! Let’s go to your room!” Sehun immediately said in an excited voice. He was practically jumping up and down in giddiness. I glanced at Kyungsoo and he caught my eye. We both grinned at each other because we knew why he wanted to go to my room and when Sehun noticed this he started to blush.

Kyungsoo put one hand on Sehuns shoulder.  “Don’t be shy! We know you have a thing for Kai’s roommate and it’s OK! We are young! It is nothing to be ashamed of.” He said like a parent trying to have ‘The Talk’ with their child. Sehun pushed Kyungsoos hand off his shoulder and scowled in stubbornness. “Sh-shut up!” He said in embarrassment.

I couldn’t help but laugh at Kyungsoo and his awkward, inappropriate joke. I thought his jokes were funny even if Sehun didn’t, and I thought his smile was absolutely adorable. He had huge brown eyes and the cutest smile anyone could ever have. Although, when he wasn’t smiling, he would have a stern face. It was just how he looked, but I thought even that expression of his was perfect. Being around him was a bit difficult for me. I thought it was because he reminded me of my dear friend that moved away.

My friend that moved away was named Baekhyun. We only spent junior year together, but in that short while I had grown very much attached to him. He was my first ever friend. His mother had sent him overseas for senior year, but he ended up loving it so he moved there for good and married his lover. I was glad he was living his dream and finding happiness, but naturally, I still missed him like crazy. Kyungsoo reminded me of Baekhyun because he would always talk about how he used to hang out with him in high school and how he was best friends with Baekhyuns husband.

The whole walk over there Kyungsoo was carrying on about youth and teasing Sehun, making me crack up so hard that my stomach muscles hurt. Sehun wasn’t amused and for a while he was throwing feisty answers back at Kyungsoo, but the closer we drew to the room, the quieter he got. Once we reached, Kyungsoo and I burst in while Sehun shyly inched in after us. He caught my roommates’ eye and both Kyungsoo and I observed as his face turned red.

My roommate got up and deeply bowed to us and when he stood upright again, he smiled warmly. “Hello” He said humbly. His manners were impeccable. Sehun noticed how the rest of us were quiet, waiting for him to answer. He looked at my roommate and bowed profusely. We were silently snickering at him because he looked like a little bird pecking the ground. “H-hello, Luhan” He said with a timid stutter.

Kyungsoo and I wanted to burst out laughing because it wasn’t every day that we got to see Sehuns cute, shy side. He would only get like that in front of Luhan. I guess he was into innocent, babyish looking guys like Luhan. Luhan started to chat with Sehun and we were laughing at Sehuns distressed state. Caught in the moment, I unconsciously put an arm around Kyungsoos shoulders. I surprised even myself by doing that but he was unfazed. He threw an arm around my waist and my body froze.

 I looked at him to see that he was still giggling at Sehun and he hadn’t even noticed what just happened. I enjoyed the little time I had with his arm around me, but while him and Luhan were chatting he pulled away because he was the type to use his hands when he spoke. Did he really not notice what happened? Come to think of it, Kyungsoo was pretty dense. Even though he made a lot of dirty jokes and he could tell when Sehun liked Luhan before I could, he was clueless when it came to himself.

The two of us were sitting beside each other on my bed facing Luhan who was sitting on his. Luhan saw that Sehun was still standing up, and out of his sheer modesty, he patted the empty spot on the bed beside him while smiling at Sehun, gesturing for him to come over. Sehun did as told and sat next to him and I couldn’t help but wonder if Luhan knew how Sehun felt. Wondering about that made me think about my own feelings. My gaze instinctively moved to Kyungsoo and I saw him talking and laughing his heart out. I spanned out of my daydreams when I realized that I was staring at him. Whoa, why did I look at him when I was thinking about my feelings?

I was slowly putting the pieces together in my head. Earlier that day when I was waiting for him, I knew that if he actually did leave without me I would have been truly hurt and the place where his hand touched me moments earlier were still hot. I put my hand across my body and lightly traced the spot on my side where his hand had rested. I suddenly understood it all. I understood why I felt weird when I was with him. I thought it was because he was simply a painful reminder of my far away friend, but that wasn’t the case at all.

I have feelings for him. That’s why I get so nervous around him! Not because he is Baekhyuns friend, but because I actually have real feelings for him! It felt so foreign to me because I had never liked anyone like that before. I had only slept around with a lot of guys before because I was miserable, and I had stopped doing that after I met Baekhyun. I used to hate my life because I couldn’t dance, but that all ended when I started attending the University. OK, let’s test the theory. I looked back up at Kyungsoo and I noticed that my heart started to beat like crazy. Whoa. I really do like him.

 “I got it! Let’s go to the cinema!” Kyungsoo said with a bright voice while shaking my shoulder and in turn shattering my train of thought. I looked at him in puzzlement. “Come on, it’s the weekend! We have to do something.” He said, directing it to everyone in the room. “Ok, sounds good.” I replied trying to sound as natural as I could. No one noticed how unsettled I actually was. The other two agreed so after Sehun and I took showers and all of us were ready, we headed out and by then it was dark out.

We were leaving the school and on our way to Kyungsoos car, Sehun grabbed my arm and when I looked back at him, I could see he was silently urging me to fall back a few paces so he could say something. Once we were sure they couldn’t hear us, I looked at him, waiting for what he had to say. “We have to talk about seating arrangements.” He muttered with a smirk on his face. I looked at him in confusion. “What do you mean?” “Oh come on, I saw you staring at Kyungsoo like you wanted to jump his bones, and you know how I feel about Luhan.” He said while smiling to himself. He kept his eyes locked on the other two and we continued to walk very slowly.

I was dumbfounded. I couldn’t believe what he had just said to me. He knew about my feeling for Kyungsoo before I even did! I thought about denying it but I saw no point in doing that. I just let out a sigh. “What do you mean by ‘seating arrangements’?”  “Kyungsoo is driving so you sit in the passenger and I’ll take the back with Luhan. In the cinema I want to sit beside him too..” He explained is a small voice. I looked at him and I couldn’t help but laugh at his cuteness. I ruffled his hair. “You got it.” I said with a smirk. I was suddenly very excited to get to the car.
