I couldn’t help but gaze at Kyungsoo like a love-struck teenage girl while he was singing. I would never be able to get over his amazing voice. He was singing an English song; I think he said it was called ‘Billionaire’ or something. I didn’t know what he was saying, and even though I could tell it wasn’t a love song, I was still so completely engulfed by his angelic voice. I was sitting in the Arts departments’ cafeteria with the usual group. Luhan and Sehun were also listening to Kyungsoo as he sang, and when he was done they gave tiny claps for him. Kyungsoo looked at me with a big smile on his face. “You are amazing.” I said then reached over and squeezed his hand, resisting the urge to go all out. Kyungsoo didn’t like it when I tried to kiss him in public, the most I could do was hold his hand.

I couldn’t believe how one person could make my heart race like that. Just by him sitting there with me, I felt like I was complete. “How come you don’t ever sing for me?” Sehun asked Luhan in a pout. Luhan smiled at him. “I’ll sing for you when we get back to your room.” He answered innocently, making Sehun almost spit out the juice he was drinking, his face turned bright red. Kyungsoo and I couldn’t help but laugh. We were sure Luhan wasn’t aware of the fact that what he just said could be taken as an innuendo in so many different ways. I was happy Sehun had finally confessed to Luhan, he deserved to be happy.

The laughs and chats all stopped when a girl suddenly walked up to our table. She was a student. What caught my attention wasn’t her long wavy brown hair that was soft and thick, or her adorable face, but her big blue eyes are what made it hard for everyone to take their eyes off her. She was definitely a foreigner so I was surprised when she spoke fluent Korean. “Hi, can I sit with you?” Her accent was almost perfect. “Yeah, sure” I replied with a smile.

I was excited a foreigner was talking to us, plus she looked like the type of person who was instantly trustworthy. She took a seat next to me and I saw the smile disappear from her lips when she looked at Kyungsoo. I looked back at him to see that he was giving her a mean look. “Oh, don’t take it personally, he is actually very sweet. You just have to get to know him.” I said to her. She nodded in understanding and the smile re-appeared on her face.

She turned to Kyungsoo again. “I actually came over here because I couldn’t help but notice the song you were singing. I really like that song and your voice was so perfect with the tune,” She said to him while smiling. A huge smile broke across his face. “Thank you.” He said while slightly bowing his head. After chatting with her for a while, I learned that she was a music composer and she knew how to DJ. She used her original songs at a couple of small gigs before deciding that she wanted to take a bigger step and attend university. That’s also why she was interested in Kyungsoo’s voice.

Learning all those things about her made me realize that I had forgotten a crucial detail. “What’s your name, by the way?” I asked. “I’m Elizabeth.” She answered. “Erisa..” I said, trying to repeat her name, but I had a very hard time pronouncing it. She innocently giggled at my failed attempt. “It’s Elizabeth.” Kyungsoo corrected me. His English may not have been perfect, but it was definitely far better than mine. “Wow that was great!” She said to kyungsoo with a big smile. “I’m used to everyone here not being able to pronounce my name. All my friends just call me Zeze or Lizzy, you can use whichever is easiest.” She continued. “Zeze it is!” I said back. “I’m Kai, that’s Kyungsoo, Luhan and Sehun.” I explained, pointing to everyone with saying their names. “Nice to meet you all!” She said in an upbeat, cheerful tone.

At the end of the day, we all met to at the Arts Department door to go back to our dorms and we were just about to head out “Hey guys! Wait up!” A voice called from behind us. We turned around to see Zeze running towards us. We let her come back to our room with us. We didn’t exactly have to sneak her in, I mean a lot of guys would bring their girlfriends to their rooms, but were still careful about it because girls aren’t supposed to be in the boys’ dorm.

She sat on my bad and made herself comfortable. “Ah! I just realized that I’m in a room with four good-looking guys.” She said then covered her face. We all laughed at her little joke. She seemed to be a very cheerful and outgoing person. She patted the spot beside her. “Kai, come sit with me.” She said with a cute smile on her face. I thought it was a little weird that she was offering me specifically, but then I remembered that I had been the one chatting with her the most during lunch. I went to sit beside her and looked back at Kyungsoo. He still had a smile on his face, so I could tell he wasn’t bothered by it. We continued chatting about random things even after Luhan went to Sehuns dorm with him, but that’s when stuff got a little weird.

We started talking about relationships and what-not. “Kai, what type of girl do you like?” She asked, scooting closer to me. I immediately took it as flirting, but I dismissed it and reminded myself that she was a foreigner so she probably just did things differently. I looked at Kyungsoo and saw that he was looking at her suspiciously. He was starting to get worried so I backed a couple of inches away from her. I ignored the fact that she asked me to specify what my type of girl was and answered anyway. “I would like someone with huge sparkling eyes and a cute small stature. Someone with dark hair and the cutest laugh you could ever hear.” I said while staring straight at Kyungsoo. He caught on to what I was doing and started giggling and blushing.

I didn’t break my eye contact with him which made me almost forget she was there. She went on explaining what type of guy she was into, and while she was explaining, Kyungsoo broke eye contact with me and started glaring at her in detestation. I didn’t know why he suddenly did that because I was only half-listening to what she was saying. I asked her to repeat her words, and when she did I was surprised to hear that she was basically naming my qualities, all that was left for her to say was my name. She said she wanted someone who could dance, who’s height was around 5.10. Someone who had dark hair and big lips.. Etc. The list went on for quite a while and I chose not to wonder how she knew all those things about me.

By then it was pretty clear what she was getting at, but I just ignored it. I acted like I didn’t notice because I didn’t want to hurt Kyungsoo. He was only clueless about flirtation when it came to himself, so I knew he realized what she was doing. I wanted to make it seem like I didn’t even care enough to notice, because that was exactly the case.

The next few days Zeze hung out with us more and more. Even on the days when Sehun and Kyungsoo wouldn’t come back to the room with Luhan and me, she always would. Kyungsoo still hadn’t said anything about it, but even if he wanted to it would be difficult. We rarely had time alone anymore. Zeze would always be there. Her company was fun so I didn’t find her annoying, but she was definitely being meddlesome. Even when I tried to hold Kyungsoo’s hand or kiss his cheek, he would just push me away. I didn’t know if it was because he was upset or just because he didn’t want her to know about us. It was driving me near insane that I wasn’t able to touch him. I just needed to kiss his lips again or I would lose it. Kyungsoo barely spoke to me anymore and it was killing me. I had to do something about it.

One day, when Zeze, Kyungsoo and I were on our way back to the dorms, she told us she had to take care of something and that she would meet us back there in about an hour. The whole walk there, Kyungsoo was quiet, and when we reached the room he immediately went to Luhans bed and sat down, not saying one word. He was definitely upset. I went to sit next to him but when I did he turned his head in the other direction.

“Kyung, please look at me.” I begged. I didn’t want him to be sad. I needed to see his smile again. He turned his face towards me. His eyes were sad and there was no trace of that beautiful smile of his. “Why are you sad?” I asked while caressing his cheek. “You know why,” He said then let his head droop. “I never get to be alone with you anymore because of Zeze. I don’t hate her, but I know she likes you as more than a friend. She makes it so obvious. And the fact that she is gorgeous doesn’t make me any less worried.” He explained. I held his face and turned it towards mine. “That’s all I needed to hear. I will talk to her about it, OK? I will tell her that I already have someone. A person that is amazing, adorable and perfect.” I reassured him. He gave a tiny smile. “Good.” He said then laughed.

I was glad to see him smiling again. “So, your sad because you never getting to be ‘alone’ with me anymore? Well we are alone now, what are you going to do about it?” I asked in a flirtatious tone. He smiled widely and looked around the room. “Looks like we are alone.” He said then placed his lips on mine. We hadn’t kissed in what felt like forever, it was so great to be able to do it again. The once small, sweet kiss evolved into a passionate and hot one. He threw his leg over both of mine and straddled me, never letting his lips leave mine. He was sitting on top of me, still kissing me furiously. I was a little surprised because he wasn’t usually like that. He put his hands on my shoulders and forced me down on the bed. I let him do it. I felt him my pants and slip his hands into my underwear. He was just about to get me excited when he suddenly stopped.

“What if she walks in on us?” He asked in a gasp. His eyes were wide in realization. “Then let her walk in on us.” I said then pressed my lips back onto his. The first few seconds he kissed me back but he pulled away again. “No, no she can’t walk in and see us like that.” He said while shaking his head and getting up off of me. His face was bright red at the thought of that happening. I couldn’t help but laugh at his suddenly shy state. “OK, I have to talk to her anyway.” I said, reminding both him and myself. He nodded back to me.  He told me that he wanted to wait outside while I spoke with her to avoid any awkwardness. “But I’m going to be listening to every word!” He said firmly. I nodded in agreement. “Of course.” All there was left to do was wait until she got here.
