Chapter 5
Infinitely ForeverA tall man was cocking his head from side to side, looking for his last luggage. He’s sure he had tied a red ribbon on top of his luggages. ‘It can’t be missing.’ He thought.
He ran his hand on his slick, jet black hair, feeling frustrated. There’s lots of important private documents inside the luggage, he couldn’t be losing it.
“Sir, is this your luggage ? Your name on top of it.” A guy approached him and gave him the luggage.
He changed his expression and a big sigh of relief escaped from his mouth. “Ah yes, thank you. Where do you get this ?”
“I think your luggage entered the wrong conveyor, Sir.”
“Alright. Thanks a lot once again.” The guy bowed and excused himself from the tall man.
After checking all of the luggages in front of him, he walked out from the arrival area and began to look for a taxi to hail.
He waved his hand and a yellow sedan car approached him. The taximan helped him with the luggages and soon they drove off from the airport.
The man looked outside, it was raining. He used to play under the rain with his dad, and then his mom would yell at them. But, he didn’t mind getting yelled by his mom, because a glass of hot chocolate would be placed in front of him, with kisses on his cheek.
“You know, I’ll be worried if you get sick.” His mom kissed him on the cheek while wrapping her son around with a thick blanket.
“I’m like a christmas gift, mom.” The boy squirmed under the thick blanket.
“You are the gift to me and your dad, son.”
He smiled at the memory. Tears had streamed down unknowingly, he wiped them off with the back of his hand.
His parents were always the best parents in the world, no doubt of that. He didn’t know why he would leave them years ago, he’s sure he was controlled by his desire in roaming the world, and in result, he abandoned his parents.
He’s going to kneel down in front of his parents, he’d cry on their laps. Maybe his tears wouldn’t mend his parents’ broken hearts, but the urge to see them was bigger than everything. A small smile started to form on his face.
“I’m home, Dad, Mom.”
