The Last Dream

Chapter 6:- The Last Dream:

Mother's reluctance to let me go was understandable.
After all, she was the one who molded me into this perfect Doll, everyone believed to be.

"What about your treatment?" Father spoke, turning a page in the newspaper.

My brother and sister had stayed silent, seemingly trying to accept this whole ordeal.
But I knew better.

"I can take it there," I said, not as confidently as I made myself to be.
"And I believe that the medical research is better there than here, at home."

Of course, he knew that - being a known and respected doctor.
Because of that, it had been greater shock for him to discover that his own daughter has a terminal brain disease.

"It's going to cost a lot, but..."
"- You're just being selfish like always!" My brother suddenly shouted, drawing attention to him.

He was right.
