You quickly run out of the bubble tea shop after Jessica told you where Baekhyun is.

You reach the guardhouse and push the heavy metal gate with all your energy until it’s wide enough for you to get pass, something you didn’t manage to do before. If the gate was shut closed few months back, you probably rather stay outside and not enter class. Now, you would have climbed the gate if you have to, just to get to Baekhyun before anything bad happens. You hear the guard shouting, calling out to you but you don’t bother turning back. You figure you’ll just face the consequences later. Baekhyun is much more important right now.

You make a quick right turn at the end of the block. Students are already beginning to crowd at the back of the block. You push your way through the crowd and stand at the most front. You look up and see Baekhyun. He looks down and spots you, eagerly waving after that, with a big smile.

“Yah, Byun Baek Hyun!” you look up, having your right hand shading your eyes. “You idiot, what are you doing up there!”

“I told you she’ll get mad,” Kai decides to reveal himself, standing behind Baekhyun.

You see Kai and couldn’t help but get more furious. “Is that Kai?” you ask, rather loudly. “Yah, Kim Jong In! Is this a joke? Come down this instant!”

He walks nearer to the end of the balcony and bends slightly over. Your eyes widen more. “Just listen to what he has to say,” Kai announces.

You notice more people start to gather around you. You swear, these two never fail to bring attention to you. “Don’t be stupid! Come down this instant!” you demand, now having your left hand to shade your eyes, replacing you sore right arm. “Do you know how dangerous it is?”

Kai burst out laughing. “Yah, woman! This is only the 4th floor.” He’s right. This block is only four storeys high. But still, they’re at the balcony. It’s almost dangerous. Maybe.

“What!” you exclaim. “Are you trying to kill yourself?” You cross your arms. “Yeah, you know what? This isn’t high enough. Just go to the rooftop if you have to.”

Kai rolls his eyes. “He’s trying to kill me,” he scoffs and brushes his hair back as the wind messes up his hair.

“I couldn’t get to the rooftop,” Baekhyun pouts. “The door was locked.”

You couldn’t believe what you just hear. “That’s not the point! Now get down here before I kill you personally! Both of you!” You look to your left and to your right. “You two are embarrassing me,” you say, rather softly this time.

“He has something to say.”

Baekhyun nods. “I have something to say,” he repeats after Kai.

You have your left hand on your hip and brush your fringe back with your free hand. “You two are unbelievable,” you sigh.

“No, he likes you!” Kai announces loudly and you hear some girls gasping behind you.

“I like you!” Baekhyun shouts, repeating after Kai. Now, you hear more girls gasping and whispering. You probably heard someone crying loudly. Kidding, no one is crying loudly. Maybe tearing.

“And he, this idiot right here, is stupid enough to not ask you to be his girlfriend yesterday when he confessed!”

“I, Byun Baek Hyun, is stupid enough to not—“

“—yah!” Kai interrupts Baekhyun who is now staring at him, startled. “Why am I doing your confession for you? No, why are you repeating after me!”

You just stand there, horrified. You are as clueless and dumbfounded as ever. You know Baekhyun likes you, isn’t it quite obvious enough when he keeps repeating that he likes you yesterday at the park? But this, this is something you have never thought of happening. As if Baekhyun falling for a girl like you is not crazy enough. As if he confessing to you repeatedly and kissing you on the tip of your nose, twice, is not unbelievable enough. Now this? In front of everyone?

You see Baekhyun closing his eyes, taking a deep breath. As he steps closer to the balcony, you couldn’t help but worry and think about the worst that could happen. Him, losing his grip and falling of the balcony, people launching themselves at you, girls pulling out your hair.

“Hwang Sal Ryo!” he begins, shouting at the top of his lungs. Though you must admit, his shouting voice is far more different from his singing voice, not as…beautiful. Ahem. “I really, really like you!” Then, Kai hands him something after taking a sip from it.

“Is that bubble tea?” You eye them weirdly.

Baekhyun nods. “I bought it for you.”

“But I almost finished it!” Kai proudly announces.

You frown, crossing your arms. “But that doesn’t matter!” Baekhyun shouts again. “I can buy you another if you want!”

Kai couldn’t help but interrupts more, “He can buy you the whole shop if you want!”

You let out a small chuckle at this sight, shyly covering your mouth as you do so. Right now, you just want to really thank God for presenting you with the two dorkiest, cutest, most embarrassing guys ever. And Chanyeol. You can never forget about Chanyeol.

“As I was saying,” Baekhyun speaks up again, shoving the almost empty plastic cup to Kai who happily continue drinking from it. “I can not imagine not spending everyday with you. I can not imagine not hearing you shouting at me with my full name. I can not imagine not getting annoyed at Kai every single day of my life,” he slowly turns to look over at Kai who is smiling back, still busy drinking. “Which I will further explain later if you ever got confused at that last sentence,” he says, looking back to the confused you.

“Are you going to start singing again?” you ask him, wondering. Because you know Baekhyun sings at anything. He shakes his head. Thank god. It would be embarrassing, you thought, slowly taking a quick glance at the people behind you, some of the girls look pissed at you.

 “The thing is…” he trails off with another deep breath.

Say it.

“Would you,” he says, staring at you with his endless dark brown eyes.

Just say it.

“Be his girlfriend!” Kai finishes Baekhyun’s sentence. The two of you turn to glare at him. “Sorry,” he backs off and continues sipping onto the straw.

Baekhyun turns back to you with his hopeful eyes, waiting patiently for your reply but you just stand there staring back.
