“Kris Wu Yi Fan…”

Kris frowned as he heard his full name. He was always hated it when people called him by his real name. He found it uncomfortable if people were trying to be so close to him. The only one who could call him by his real name was just one person, and that one person was just the one and only, the leader of EXO-K, Suho.

“Don’t call me that. You know I hate it.” Said Kris bitterly. He shoved Mr. Yang away and made him staggered to the side but Kris just didn’t even bother to care. He jumped down and faced Baekhyun, an evil smirk plastered on his face.

“Tch. Why not? We’re friends, right?” said Baekhyun while patting his shoulder and smiled mischievously.

Kris’ expression turned cold and he shoved Baekhyun’s hand away. Baekhyun realized that Kris was glaring at him now but he remained cool.

“Okay! Okay, geez. Correction—we used to be friends. How about that? I’m right, am I?” said Baekhyun and grinned. Kris was still glaring at him, his gaze followed Baekhyun every time he walk somewhere around.

“Don’t try to be nice, Baekhyun. I can’t believe you’re still like this. It’s been years but you don’t change at all, huh?” asked Kris.

“Why bother to change? I was perfect. Handsome, charming, good looking… Oh wait, I still am!” Baekhyun joked, made Kris rolled his eyes. “What? You’re jealous of how flawless I am?” He looked at Kris in pity and blinked several times, tried to be cute. Well, mocking him, exactly.

Baekhyun tried to stall some time as he tried to think the way to get rid of Kris. He didn’t want Soori to get involve with that bastard and he tried to find out how to get her back to the palace safely without Kris on the way.

Aish this bastard, move away please! Baekhyun thought, annoyed.

“Really? Flawless?” he scoffed. “I thought Suho is the flawless one,” said Kris, finally wanted to laugh.

“Wait, wait, wait! What? Omo. You still had… a thing with Suho hyung?” said Baekhyun, tried to . Kris looked at him puzzled.

“What? A thing—“ Kris stopped and thought. “Wait, I’m not the kind of guy!” he complained as he stepped backward and looked at Baekhyun panicked. Baekhyun looked away and hold his laugh. Oh My God, once Kris, always Kris… he thought.

“Well, you were always close to Suho. And the one who can call you by your real name is just him. Oh, and now you’re calling him flawless!” Baekhyun showed his serious face and made Kris looking at him anxious. “Whoa Kris… you seriously have issues. I thought you’re enough with the gay thing,” said Baekhyun as he shook his head.

“Y-yah! I’m not gay! Suho is just—uhm… he’s just a great companion to work with!” said Kris awkwardly.

“Companion? Really?” Baekhyun approached Kris while raising his brow and smiled playfully. Kris stepped back while waving at Baekhyun, tried to decline what Baekhyun has told.

“I’M NOT GAY!” he blurted, his expression was frightened. His fellow members in EXO-M were always teasing him too about this kind of thing, just to bother their leader and it made Kris annoyed. He was scared that his reputation of being the ‘cool-handsome-arrogant’ guy will gone just because the gay thingy.

Mr. Yang who was watching them couldn’t help but chuckled. Kris turned to him and he hid behind the horse immediately.

Soori heard about Kris saying that his not gay and made her peeked outside. Well, who does not? It was obviously loud and made people curious, of course.

Wait, this voice… It’s kind of familiar…Soori thought and looked at the situation. Good thing that Soori was facing Kris’ back and Baekhyun was facing her. Baekhyun caught her looking out and he grew panicked.

‘YAH! GET. DOWN.’ Baekhyun mouthed but as he expected, she didn’t understand.

‘WHAT?’ she replied.

‘GET INSIDE.’ Baekhyun mouthed and nod his head, gesturing her to come inside. Soori narrowed her eyes and slightly shook her head, still didn’t understand.

‘What?’

Baekhyun sighed and rolled his eyes. “Babo.” He muttered.

“What did you say?” said Kris, a bit offended.

“What? Uh, nothing.” He turned to Kris, forgot that he was talking to Kris. Baekhyun kept glancing at Soori, worried. But she turned out watching them, amused. Yah, stupid girl. You think this is a show? He thought as he glared at her and he just found her shrugging.

“What are you looking at?” asked Kris and he was about to turn but Baekhyun prevent him.

“WAIT NO—“ he leaned forward to Kris and grabbed his arms. He tightened his grip and made Kris looked at him so he didn’t turn back. Kris seemed surprised and confused as he stared at Baekhyun in confusion. They were facing each other now, their face was so close and they were staring each other awkwardly. It was looked like Baekhyun wanted to hug him now.

Kris looked at him creepily and a little bit disgust as he slightly pushed him away. He narrowed his eyes at the boy in front of him. Baekhyun seemed quite weird and didn't take this situation more seriously which made him quite pissed off. Kris always hated a person like that.

"Enough of playing games, Baekhyun. I'm serious." Kris hissed. Baekhyun still tried to stall him but he couldn't help but worried at Soori and couldn't stop glancing at her for every minute. 

"Oh come on, don't you want to have some little fun? Well, after we parted for quite awhile," Baekhyun said casually and his lips curved into a smirk. Not for long though. His smirk gone as Kris suddenly flew up into him and pushed him against the tree at behind, making Baekhyun groaned because of the stinging pain that shot through his back. 

Kris was now strangled him while pinning him hard against the branch as Baekhyun's leg didn't touch the ground, he was now as a matter a fact, drifting.

"Don't underestimate me like that, Byun Baekhyun. I'm different than I was before," Kris whispered. His tone was quite rough and Baekhyun could feel an evil aura around Kris that was different from the Kris he knew a few years ago. His grip on Baekhyun's neck tightened but Baekhyun still tried to calm and hide his pain. Instead, he let out a chuckle. Well, a weak one.

"I'm not afraid of a wimp like you." Baekhyun said playfully and it seemed made Kris furious. The color of his eyes suddenly changed from dark into gold one, and it seemed filled with much anger. Before Baekhyun could say anything, Kris turned while throwing Baekhyun's body away, made Baekhyun slammed against the ground so hard. Soori, on the other hand, watched all of it behind the window and she couldn't help but gasped at the scene. Baekhyun was hurt and she felt a stinging pain in her heart. 

Baekhyun automatically yelled in pain but Kris won't leave him alone. He flew right on top of him and about to give him a hard punch but he stopped as he heard a voice. A familiar voice.

"Stop!" Soori suddenly yelled as she appeared on the window, revealing her to the other boy who was now staring at her. "Stop! You're hurting him." She said. Her voice was low but firm. 

Didn't know why, but Kris was just staring at her. There was something special about this girl that caught him off guard but he didn't know what it is. He could attack her by now but no, he couldn't. And he wondered why.

That moment, Baekhyun took a chance to attack him. He shot a laser light towards Kris, making him stumbled back away against the ground. Baekhyun was strong indeed. His power maybe simple, but the other princes knew that his power was the strongest one.
That one laser light has caused a burn mark on Kris' chest, as the light also burned off his clothes too. Even Kris was just letting out a slight groan but he was now panting heavily and having a hard time to straighten himself.  Before he even got up properly, Baekhyun ran to him and punched him several times. Kris spited out some blood and wiped off his lips as he showed an evil smirk towards Baekhyun.

. He won't give up!  Baekhyun shot him a light orbs but he missed as Kris flew up to the sky. He was fast. Too fast. Baekhyun searched around for him but his speed was unreadable. Kris pushed Baekhyun from behind in a high speed, made Baekhyun fell on the ground and he immediately kicked Baekhyun hard on his stomach.

Kris grabbed him by his collar and lifted him up but Baekhyun managed to block his eyesight by using his light power, and Baekhyun finally slipped off from his grip and fell on the ground. He was bleeding now, too much punches from Kris made his face filled with pain.

Soori panicked. She kept wondering if that Kris guy was really a bad guy. But, she could feel that a part of him wasn't that bad. But how did she know? Shaking her head, Soori went out from the carriage and search for any weapon. She couldn't let Baekhyun got attacked like that. She wouldn't. Her gaze stopped at a wrapped sword on the front seat and she grabbed it without any hesitant.

Kris managed to hold Baekhyun's back again. And now he pinned Baekhyun down on the ground with his leg. His eyes still glowing with gold. Instead of beautiful, it was rather terrifying. "Any last world, Baekhyun? Since you'll be dead in a minute." Kris spat.

Baekhyun glared at him, he coughed blood but he still managed to smile. A victorious smile. "You'll never be able to kill me, Kris. Never."

"Oh yeah? Then—“ Kris stopped when he suddenly heard someone yelled at him.

"Yah! You!" Soori yelled. She was now holding a sword in a quite strange gesture but she still managed to balance it.  "Get away from him," she said bravely as Kris turned to see her. Her grip on the sword tightened as she tried to hold her tremble.

Kris smirked and finally walked towards her slowly, leaving Baekhyun behind. Baekhyun was just staring at her in panic as he shook his head. "No. Soori, no." He muttered. Kris was getting closer and his smirk turned into a slight smile. Smile of interest.

"And what are you going to do, Soori?" Kris said. Calm but sound evil enough.

Crap. He remembered me, Soori thought but tried to be brave as possible. "I'll stop you."

Kris' eyes widened a bit as he surprised that she was quite brave. A part of him wanted to attack her but something held him back and his hand clenched into a fist. "Listen, I don't want to fight you." His voice was scary but he softened a bit.

"Then stop hurting him!" Soori said and stepped forward without any fear.

"I won't."

Damn. He's stubborn indeed. Her gaze trailed to Baekhyun who was still lying on the ground helplessly but he kept shaking his head to her. Well, like she care about it and she finally ignored him.

Kris stepped forward and they were now facing each other. Soori knew that this was a bad decision but something made her brave. She didn't even know how to use sword and the last time she did it with the princes was just coincidence, right?

"Then, I don't have a choice." She finally said and then held up her sword to strike him.

The attack failed as her sword crashed into other thing as she realized that Kris held out a dagger. She cursed and then went for another attack but Kris blocked her again.
It went on and on but Soori couldn't get through his defense and all she could hear was just the sound of metals crashing each other. They both stopped and stared to each other now. Both panted quite heavily.

"You're not bad," Kris finally spoke again as he smirked again. "Just give up. Like I said, I don't want to fight you. I don't want to… hurt you." He said, a bit hesitantly. He didn't even know if he wanted to say that last sentence.

But Soori wouldn't give up, she ran towards him and held up her sword but Kris blocked it again and this time, he managed to grab her collar at the back and threw her to the side, making her body slammed onto the ground and her head bumped until it was bleeding.
She groaned in pain because it turned out that she hurt her leg and her elbow too because Kris threw her hard.

He looked at her and he felt bad for a moment but he tried not to. He walked towards Baekhyun but Soori didn't let him. She managed to stand up even it was hurt so much but she managed to grab him but he pushed her away instead. Soori's back hit a tree and she could feel that her bones may be crack a little because it was incredibly hurt.

She bit her lip while her body was sliding down into the ground and let out a scream as her body was aching so badly. Her lip started to bleed because she bit it hard. Kris took a glance at her but he closed his eyes and looked away.

She's nobody, you didn't do anything wrong. Kris thought and his gaze locked to Baekhyun who was trying to get up again but he kicked him off and Baekhyun was thrown hard while screaming in pain.

"B-Baekhyun," Soori muttered under her breath. She was looking at Baekhyun who was probably going to get killed by now but she won't give up. She managed to grab her sword again and this time, she felt something different filled her body. She felt weird but somehow she felt stronger. Her grip at her sword tightened and she closed her eyes.

Her body was getting stronger as she felt her energy was now filled and spread to her whole body. She never felt so alive like this. Her feelings mixed. Worried, anger, passion, all mixed together. She wanted to safe Baekhyun. She can, and she will.

She opened her eyes and unexpectedly, her eyes turned blue and it was glowing beautifully. Strange runes suddenly appeared on her sword and it gleamed into a spark blue light. She stood up and held up her sword towards Kris who was now holding up his dagger and about to stab Baekhyun.

She was furious. Very. Her feet moved on its own, leading her towards Kris. She didn't even give any command or anything, but suddenly, a blue laser light shot out from the sword and heading towards Kris.

Kris finally realized some light from his sight and when he turned, he was shot by a blue light and was thrown painfully against the ground. Baekhyun confused and he frowned as he realized that Soori was the one who attacked Kris.

"Are you alright?" Soori managed to say as she was now bending down in front of Baekhyun. Her eyes still gleamed blue. It was very pretty, Baekhyun admit. And her sword was still glowing.

"H-how did you—“ but his mouth closed again as he stunned at the girl in front of her. He never knew that soori could do that. It was a rare magic, he noticed. He has been reading a book of ancient magic for quite a few times and he knew that Soori just did an incredibly powerful magic.

"I have no idea," Soori said. She looked terrified though. Baekhyun understood how confused she was by doing that magic as she didn't know anything about it.

Kris was lying on the ground. He was freakingly in pain. He was weak now but then he shouted as his left chest started to glowing gold. His right hand pressed against it and he gasped for air. He knew that what comes next won't be good at all…

"W-What's happening?" Soori said as they realized something happened with Kris.
They both turned to Kris and Baekhyun's eyes widened. Kris was in pain, glowing light shined through his chest and a shadow of a dragon appeared slowly around him.

"Oh no…" Baekhyun's muttered and his eyes full of fear.

"What? What happened? Why is he like that?" Soori said, panicked.

"His true power. It's awake." 

That moment, a huge flame of dragon appeared in front of them while Kris on his knees was in front of it. He still screamed in pain and Soori could hear that he kept saying 'stop' for a few times. Somehow, she felt bad for him but the problem now was this huge dragon.

"Oh. My. God." Soori muttered. "How do we… defeat it?" She said, quite unsure because that dragon looked very powerful.

"Here. Let me stop—“ Baekhyun was about to stand up but then he cried in pain and fell down again. Soori caught him and she realized that one of his legs was injured.

The dragon let out a growl and then he shot out fire from his mouth. Luckily, it didn't hit them but the heat was indeed hot. The dragon finally spotted them and headed towards them with high speed. The body was all made from flame and it was indeed scary.

"He's after us." Baekhyun said. His tone was very serious and his eyes locked to the dragon.
 

"What about Kris?" Soori suddenly asked.

"He can't control his power. Once he got weak, the power inside him awakes and there's nothing he could do about it." Baekhyun answered.  

Soori couldn't help but feel bad at Kris, her brows knitted together and she didn't realized that she was holding Baekhyun's hand for awhile. 

"Run, Soori." Baekhyun's words snapped her back to reality.

"What?"

"Run. I'll take care of it. Just… find somewhere safe." Baekhyun demanded. "Run, now!" He shouted as the dragon was now near them.

"No, I will not." 

Baekhyun turned to her surprised but the girl has already stood in front of him, protecting him. Her left arm was still grabbing his, it was like she told him to stay behind her.

Baekhyun concerned, but this girl seemed to know what to do. Her eyes suddenly shined more and Baekhyun could see some runes appeared around her arms that were glowing into blue lights. 

That moment, Soori felt like her body moves on its own, as her mind focusing on defeat that dragon. The dragon shot them a huge fire flame but Soori immediately held up her hand and suddenly a barrier appeared around Baekhyun and Soori, making the flame burst out and disappeared. The dragon wanted to go through but he couldn't and he crashed onto the barrier instead, making him yelling in pain and flew away. The dragon flew up and decided to attack straight from above in high speed. 

The next moment, Soori grabbed her sword that was now gleamed brighter than the stars, held it up and then stabbed it into the ground. The impact was very strong, even Baekhyun had to bend down and closed his eyes. Shine lights shot up from the sword and burst away through above in every single direction. It was the same time as the barrier has gone and finally hit the dragon until it was crashed and disappeared.

Kris stopped screaming and his hands prevented him to fall down while panting heavily. His powers seemed to be back to his body but he felt very weak because it has been defeated.

Baekhyun finally opened his eyes and found Soori looking at him with a soft smile. "Are you alright?" She said softly. Her voice was trembling and weak. He could see that the blue color of her eyes was finally fading away along with her blue runes around her arm. Her sword slipped off from her hand and touched the ground as her body started to stumble but Baekhyun was quickly enough to catch her.

One of his legs was injured but he didn't care and tried to stood up while holding Soori as he embraced her slightly. "I should be the one who ask you that. Are you alright?" Baekhyun asked and gave her a worried smile.

She looked so exhausted and pale. He could feel that her body has becoming limp and he was very concerned of it.

"I'm… alright. No?" She said and her lips curved into a slight smile.

Geez. This girl still able to smile in this condition? "No. You're not alright. But you defeated the dragon though, and… you saved me." Baekhyun said as he smiled at her. Didn't know why, soori felt so happy by seeing that smile. That sincere smile of Byun Baekhyun.

She nodded her head, even it was so slightly. Even it was maybe her last energy left.
"Yes, yes. I did." She said with a smile but then everything went black.

Baekhyun's smile disappeared as he watched the girl that he was holding, has suddenly collapsed.
