That sentence got stuck into your mind as you received a call from the police when you're prepared to wait for your parents to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary .

Your phone sled down from you hands and dropped on the ground . Your lips trembled , heart throbbing , body shivering , you dropped on the ground . You couldn't imagine how scary your life will be , without your parents .

On your hand you held onto the bunch of roses that you've grown for so long , just to give them to your parents . But little did you expected , it was already too late .

"Appa , Umma , you broke your promises ..." You said , on your way to the police station , with tears over your face and ruined make-up .

You plucked the petals of the roses . One by one , they fluttered onto the ground . You were walking aimlessly and unconsciously to the police station . Then , someone behind you saw the petals on the ground and looked at you from far .

*What's this ?* He thought curiously , bending down and picked up the petals one by one , keeping on eye onto you too .

"Miss , your petals dropped !" He shouted innocently to you and jogged towards you .

"Beeeeeeeeppppp !" 

"Be careful !!!" He shouted and got hold of you , pulling you to him as you both landed on the ground . He winced as he looked at you . 

"I-i'm sorry ...." Your tears fell on his shirt as you stood up .

"O-oh , your petals ..." He said as the petals were still in his hands .

"T-the roses !" You screamed and looked over to the road . The roses were ran over by the cars just now .

"Argh !" You ran to get the roses back .

"Hey , where are you going ?! It's dangerous !" He ran and got you back .

Your tears felt like coming out again . 

"Where are you going ?" He asked you .

"B-bring me ... t-to the police station ........" You sobbed as you leaned on his chest .

O.O His eyes widened .

"W-why ? Y-you murdered someone ?" He asked , stiffly .

"J-just bring m-me there ...." You continued .

Scared , he quickly hailed a taxi and not long , you both arrived .

"B-bankrupt ?" You swallowed your saliva as the word on the document struck you .

*Bankrupt ?!* The guy's eyes widened again .

"Yes , you're officially bankrupt because your father had left with a debt that was yet to be cleared . Moreover , your parents had just passed away just now and you're their only child who had not have a proper job . So the bank will pay half of the amount for you and the rest , you'll settle yourself ." The officer said .

*Gosh , she's poor ...* The guy sighed .

"O-okay , i got it ..." You nodded your head and signed the paper .

"I'm so sorry for your parents death , Miss Choi . Please have a good rest and report to the hospital at 9.30AM tomorrow ." The officer said .

You just nodded and staggered out of the station with the guy still following you .

"H-hey Miss , where do you live ? I'll send you back ." He said .

"I have no home !" You snapped and walked away aimlessly . 

"I-if you don't mind , stay over at my place for some time till you settle your problems ?" He suggested and held your wrist .

"I don't even know you !" You pushed his hand away and continued walking .

"I'm Byun Baekhyun ! 20 this year ! I'm living near here . In fact , just a few blocks away from here ! I live with my parents and siblings , don't worry ! It's too dangerous and unsafe for a girl to be out alone at night !" He shouted as you walked .

Then you stopped on your tracks . He smiled and jogged to you .

"So ?" He asked , trying to cheer you up .

"Piggy-back me ." You said .

Baekhyun nodded and smiled sweetly as he piggy-backed you to his house .

"Hey Choi Jinri , right ? Nice to meet you , i'm Baekhyun ." He introduced .

"N-nice to meet ... you too ..." As soon as you finished talking , you fell asleep on his shoulders .
