“Kai,” Luhan says, looking at me with wide eyes, “do you ever wonder why we’re here?”
 

I look at him confused.  His limbs are sprawled over his comforter, face sideways as his cheek rests on a pillow while I sit at his desk trying desperately to finish my homework before it gets dark out.  The shades over his window allow the smallest slivers of light to shine through, letting me know I still have some time left.
 

“I never really think about it, you know.  I kind of just, I don’t know, don’t really care I guess,” I say as I scribble across my math homework only to erase it moments later.
 

“Sometimes I feel like there’s really no point to anything.  I know it sounds depressing but, let’s face it, we’re all going to die anyway.  Soon, everyone I have ever known and everyone I have ever loved will have disappeared.”
 

By now I’ve turned around, looking at him as he focuses on the wall in front of him.  His hair is tousled in that “I just got out of bed” way, even though it’s Wednesday evening and we haven’t been in bed all day, and it’s probably the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.  It takes me a while to actually process what he’s saying to me, and after a brief pause he continues.
 

“Every once in a while it just seems so pointless.  Why even bother getting up in the morning,” he says as he lifts his head from the pillow to look at me.
 

“I figure everyone has their reason.  Maybe it’s their children or their job or the bills they need to pay or the lives they need to change, but everyone has their reason.  My entire life I’ve been searching for one, everywhere I’ve went I’ve searched for mine, but I think I found it.”
 

“And what is it?”
 

“You. You’re my reason.”

sorry i havent been updating AT ALL lately
everything's been to busy and ughhhhh but i'll try my hardest to update this ok
it's getting really hard to think of things to write about for this story but for now ill write at least some filler chapters like this to keep it going
this story has basically been a compilation of things i think about so sorry if it's super random i'm still debating whether or not i should give it a storyline or not ;~;
