Sigh - another radio interview to do. Maybe this one will have something interesting: Some new questions, one of my members coming up with an innovative answer - but not so innovative that we get in trouble - just anything. As we're heading out to get into the van, Doyeon pulls me aside. She's got a really intense look on her face. Please don't let her cause any problems right before an interview! She leans over so that she can talk directly into my ear, so no one else will hear whatever she's got to say, which turns out to be about the last thing I would have expected. She says "I know Manager-nim didn't write that email." I'm so surprised and confused by this that I can't come up with a coherent response. I can't even use whole words. I'm like "Wha?" "You're a terrible liar," she says as she puts her arm around my shoulders and we start walking toward the van again. "But don't worry - I see what you're doing and I'm on your side. As long as you don't do anything to hurt me and Yoojung, I won't tell the members." "But that email really was from Manager-nim!" I know I'm not going to convince her, but I try anyway. She winks at me. "That's the story, and I'll stick to it unless you give me a reason not to." "Uh. . . thanks?" I say. She just nods at me and starts walking faster, so that she gets to the van slightly before I do. We get to the radio station, with no more than the usual amount of traffic. I fish the megaphone out from under the seat. I know the others all know the drill, but I feel compelled to say it anyway: "Wait here for a second and let me talk to the fans first, then I'll call you out." I step out of the van and our fans start cheering. They're so loud that the sound doesn't even sound like a sound anymore - it's like a force pushing against me. It always surprises me and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. I turn on the megaphone, crank the volume, then raise it up and say "Hello everybody!" Amazingly, the fans somehow manage to get louder. Looking at the fans lining the walkway we'll have to take to get into the station, I notice that several of them are holding CDs and Sharpies. Some of them are already reaching out to try to hand them to me even though I'm still over twenty feet away. I raise the megaphone again. "We won't be signing things today," I say, which is met with a disappointed groan. "We can't take a chance of getting sick and spoiling our comeback," I add. At the mention of a comeback, the groaning stops and the cheering starts up again. I raise my hand to get everyone to quiet down a little, then say "Fantagio hasn't told us yet what your fandom name is going to be, but please keep supporting us, and as soon as they tell us we can, we'll do a Vlive and let you know!" While they're cheering the possibility of getting their fandom name soon, I reach back
