Chapter 17: Home

Ji Wook kisses her forehead. "Jagiya...I'll be back soon.."
It's breaking his heart to leave her like this but he had to because today is the final trial for the case he's been working on for months. Tomorrow, he's going home. They're going home. And he's going to bring Bong Hee back to Seoul, in one of the best hospitals, and get her the best medical attention his wife deserves.

He looks at her with so much love and longing. "I love you." He kisses her forehead again. "I love you very much.."

Mr. Bang: We have to go, Ji Wook.
Ji Wook: (sighs) Okay. (He looks at Bong Hee one last time and caresses her hair.)
Bong Hee's omma: She's going to be fine, son. I'm not letting her out of my sight, I promise.
Ji Wook: (sighs again and nods) Thank you, omma. I'm sorry that I have to leave..
Omma: Omo, don't say sorry. Good luck on your trial. Break a leg!
Ji Wook: (tries to smile) I will. (Bows) I'll see you later, omma.
Omma: (smiles) See you. Be safe.
Ji Wook takes one last look at Bong Hee and turns to the door, together with Mr. Bang. But when he was about to reach the door, he suddenly turned around and went back to his wife, kissing her forehead again.
"I will come back soon. I promise."

4 hours later.

Mr. Byun: I just heard back from Bang. The trial was a success. Finally! Ji Wook is free. I cannot wait for him and Bong Hee to go home.
Bong Hee's Omma: Both of them must've missed Seoul. It's been a while..
Mr. Byun: (sighs) How I wish Bong Hee is awake. I'm pretty sure they'll celebrate today if only... (Sighs again) I miss this kid.
