Immediately after arguing with Jimin, Jungkook made the phone call.  He was in a position of power so he used it to his advantage when necessary.  His assistant quickly made arrangements for the medicine without any questions whatsoever but that wasn’t the end of the issue.

Entering the building,  Jungkook felt a vibration in his pocket indicating that he had both missed a phone call, and had received text and voice messages, both of which were from his son.  He quickly put the device back into his pocket upon meeting with his assistant.

“Did you receive it, I got confirmation of delivery already?,” said a stately man.  He was a little taller than Jungkook and older by four years, but had been working for the younger a little under ten years already.  He had been with him through his failed marriage and messy divorce and was more like an older brother to the only child rather than an employee.

“Yes...he got it,” he whispered clearing his throat nervously toward the man known as Hyungsik avoiding eye contact.

The two took the private elevator to his office in silence.  Though it was unusual for the younger to be so quiet in the morning, it sometimes happened with he was stressed out.

Jungkook hastily walked behind his desk and sat down, his head lowered in an unidentifiable emotion.

“...the medication was for my son Jimin,” he said after a beat.  Hyungsik stood at attention waiting for the other to continue. Normally he would have already announce the agenda for the day but it didn’t seem like the right time at the moment.

“Your son that came from the States?,” the man exhale relieved, he had mistakenly thought that Jungkook was perhap dating a man now.  “Jieun must have carried the gene then,” he continued lightly. “I have a cousin with the same...condition. It follows down the maternal line,”  the man approach the desk. “Jungkook it’s no big deal, when he’s eighteen he can have the surgery and he’ll be fine. The Jeon family will be fine…”

“I’m ing him hyung…,” the other said a sob escaping his voice.  It was now evident that he had lowered his face to hide the tears.

“What?...,” said the other quirking his neck down in a questioning gesture.

“What did you say?”

“I said I’m having with my own son…,” he said looking up at the other tears spilling from his eyes.

The older man stared at the other incredulously.  That was the last thing he thought he would ever hear Jungkook say.

“Jungkook no…,” he started but as he saw the other continue to breakdown he knew it was true.  After a few seconds of just watching him cry the older man couldn’t take much more of it.

Turning around he took his cell phone out of his pocket in search of a number.

“What are you doing?” said the other.   “What does it look like? I’m calling your attorney and legal team,” he said.  “I can’t believe this,” he said more to himself. He was too shocked to focus on the task at hand.

“Don’t do that hyung---”

“God Jungkook!  What do you want me to do?,” he said.  “After what you told me...just what do you want me to do,” he finished dropping the phone on the desk and sitting down in front of the other.

“...I don’t know...you’re the closest thing I have to real family,” Jungkook sighed tears coming to an end.
