Tzuyu POV

After the movie and that talk with Richard, I decided to just go home. I didn’t even tell Sana what had happened. As much as I want to be with her and protect her, I can’t risk anything at all. That bastard… I arrived home and plopped on my bed and I felt a vibrating on my phone. ‘Sana? What do I do? She’s calling me…Should I pick up?’ I just let the phone ring until it stopped vibrating. But then I received a text. I opened it

Sana the squirrel ❤: Chewy-ah… where did you go?... Richard told me you left but you didn’t even tell me you were going home this early… I thought you would stay by myside… Since you went home, I decided to go home as well too. Richard wanted to go eat but I want you there with us. I’m sorry if I made things awkward and brought you on this date. You probably didn’t want see me at all and I forced you. But I can’t wait to see You tomorrow! You’re going to come to dance practice, right? But anyways, rest up and I can’t wait to see you. I love you.

She loves me… I this as a friend or does she actually love me. I guess Momo didn’t tell her yet that I wasn’t going to join the dance club as of now. I decided to leave her on read. Then I remembered that I was going to join basketball to keep an eye on the bastard. I looked at the time and noticed it was 11 pm at night. It was pretty late but I went outside to a park near my house and found a basketball hoop. I decided to practice a little bit since I didn’t want to make a fool of myself. I did a few lay overs, I did a few fades, I did a few threes. And all of them made it in. I guess I’m still pretty good after all this time. I decided to focus on my footwork for now since that maybe critical.

60 minutes later…

I was on the ground panting back and forth and I closed my eyes for a bit. Then I sat up and I then felt a pair of hands over my eyes. I was surprised and I jolted a bit because it was so cold. But then I notice the person was only covering my eyes. I felt their hands and felt how soft and silky it was. The fingers seem dedicate and most of all, slender yet gentle. I used my hands and gently pried the pair of hands over eyes away from my face and turned around only to see the face I tried to avoid earlier…

Tzuyu; Sana-ah… Why are you here so late at night? It’s dangerous… You shouldn’t be out here this late

Sana POV:

I got home at 10 since I went grocery shopping after my so-called date with Richard. He seemed sweet and caring and held my hand during the movie, but… I was somehow more focused on Chewy’s hands intertwining with mine. I wanted to go home after the date. I called Chewy and she didn’t pick up. I became worried that she might be tired or sick. I then sent Chewy a text.

To Chewy ❤: Sana the squirrel ❤: Chewy-ah… where did you go?... Richard told me you left but you didn’t even tell me you were going home this early… I thought you would stay by myside… Since you went home, I decided to go home as well too. Richard wanted to go eat but want you there with us. I’m sorry if I made things awkward and brought you on this date. You probably didn’t want to see at all and I forced you. I sent the text and then went grocery shopping for some food. I went home and opened up my phone so only see that chewy read my text and never responded. Is she okay? I hope she not hurt or anything. I placed and organized the things that I bought and noticed that my trash was full. I made my way outside to throw it away and saw a figure at the park. After throwing my trash I walked closer and closer to the figure and the park. She looked really familiar. I walked towards the basketball court and was shocked.

‘Chewy? Why are you here?’ I stood behind a tree and saw her playing basketball, practicing her shots. I didn’t know she was this good. I then ran to my house to get some water and came back. I came back noticing she was now running and doing footwork. Beads of sweat was dripping form her face and I noticed how hard she was working. Then later I went back to grab a towel so she can wipe her sweat off. I looked at the clock and noticed how late it was and rushed outside again noticing that Chewy was on the floor panting back and forth. I approached her and she immediately sat up. I quietly placed the water and towel behind me and covered her eyes. Chewy jumped a little but then she felt and palpated my hands gently and softly. She then used both her hand to pry my hands off lightly and turned around.

Tzuyu; Sana-ah… Why are you here so late at night? It’s dangerous… You shouldn’t be out here this late

Aigoo... It’s so late at night and yet she cares about me right now…

Sana: Yah! You tell me it’s dangerous and you are here shooting hoops. It’s like 12 am now and you are here laying in the ground. You have class Tomorrow and dance practice. What if you hurt yourself.

Tzuyu: Sana-ah… I need to tell you something. And I don’t want you to be mad at me okay?

I wonder what she wants to say… I’m scared that it might be something bad. How should I respond? Yes? No? Idk? Should I be direct? Should I feel like I don’t care? Or should I Just not want to hear it? Then chewy held my hands in hers.

Tzuyu: Sana are you okay? I promise it’s not something too bad but I’m planning on joining the basketball club instead. I know I promised and told you that I wanted to dance and sing with you But, there is something I have to avoid as of now… Please forgive me…

Sana: Who are you trying to avoid?...

Tzuyu: I can’t Say… But can you please respect my decision?... It’s a bit hard for me and I really don’t want to be away from you.

Sana: … I don’t know what to say Chewy… I respect that you don’t want to do it now, but I guess I’m just sad that I can’t spend more time with you.

Chewy then approached me and wrapped her arms around me waist and pulled me closer

Tzuyu: I’m sorry… There’s something important I have to do and well I need to do something for the basketball club… There is someone I have to keep an eye on as well.

Sana: Can I ask who?

Tzuyu: that I can’t say either…. I promise I will tell you after I confirm something I promise I won’t leave you. I promise no matter what I’ll be here for you

Sana: why does it sound like you are going to go away from me…

Tzuyu: … I-

Sana: Do you hate me… Is that why you ignored my text… After sharing what happened to me, you felt pity and became close with me.

Tzuyu: I-

Then I started crying and I didn’t even notice tears running down my face. Until my face felt warm and my vison became blurry.  Then I say Chewy’s face closing in on my face and felt a hand on my cheek. I leaned into her touch and I felt something soft against my eyes. Chewy was kissing my teary eyes. And I couldn’t help but tear up even more. I wrapped my hands around her neck and fitted my face in the crock of her neck

Sana: Please don’t leave me… Please… I’ll do anything so you won’t leave me…

Tzuyu POV

Sana: Please don’t leave me… Please… I’ll do anything so you won’t leave me…

Does she really mean anything, break up with your boyfriend even? But I would assume that Richard would do something to her if she broke up will he do anything? For now, I’ll just stick to the plan and watch him as I watch Sana from far away… I won’t risk anything and I should tell Momo about this. I hugged Sana closer and I kissed her on the cheek and eyes, wiping her tears that are gradually rolling down, she hugged me tighter and tighter saying, ‘please don’t leave me’

Tzuyu: I won’t leave you, even if you think I am, I will always be beside you no matter what. There will be time that I’ll can’t be beside you, so I apologize.

I took something out of my pocket and pulled it out gently so it doesn’t get too tangled

Tzuyu: I bought this a while ago or well I won it in the arcade a while back today when I was waiting for you to come back from the restroom.  I know this isn't much and you probably think it's lame, but we can be matching. I have one on my phone and so I guess it’s like we have a part of each other so that no matter where we are, we have a piece of well… you and well I hope that is the same way for you as well.

I don’t even know what I’m rambling apart. But Sana approached me and tiptoes pecking me on the cheek and took the charm from me.

Sana: Thank you chewy-ah~ I’ll treasure it forever. Do you want to sleep at my house? Well I know we live right next to each other but I don’t want to separate you yet… You don’t have to but I-

Tzuyu: I’d loved to. Let me get something from my house first and I'll go over.

Sana: Can I come with you? I don’t want to wait outside for you

Tzuyu: Mhmm of course.

I held her hand and pulled it closer to me and intertwined our fingers. I walked her to my house and open the door. My dad walked out and saw me.

Dad: Tzuyu. Why are you out so late?

Tzuyu: Sorry Dad, but I was getting my mind off of something and I decided to play some basketball.

Dad: Who is that you have with you?

Sana: My name is Sana Minatozaki. I am Chewy’s classmate as well as the president of the class. I came along with her since I saw her outside and wanted to make sure she was okay.

Dad: It’s a pleasure to meet you. Please take care of Tzuyu for me. And why do you call her Chewy? She doesn’t really like nicknames and she hates it when people call her that.

Sana: Really? Chewy said that it was okay with her… Chewy?

I couldn’t have been more embarrassed of my life… I didn’t know what to do. I should change the subject.

Tzuyu: Dad. I know I don’t ask much but I’m going to sleep over at Sana’s. She lived right across the street from us so I’ll be fine. I know mom won’t care but I just wanted to tell you since You’re here.

Dad: That fine. Just be safe.

My dad then walked closer to me and patted my shoulder whispering something in my ear.

Dad: She’s really pretty, I’m sure you like her a lot to have her call you Chewy. I’m happy that your happy. Be safe okay?

I was shocked of how caring my dad was and then he went over so Sana and bowed in front of her.

Dad: please take care of my daughter. I as a father have not done much for her so please take my place and cherish Tzuyu. I think Tzuyu has a liking for you to be so nice and accepting to people. She was never like this to anyone so please continue with what you are doing. I approve of her if you really love her       

Tzuyu: Appa wh-

Sana: Of course, Mr. Chou. I will take care and be by Chewy’s side even if she pushed me away

Tzuyu; Yah….

Dad: call me Dad then, I really like you a lot. We’ll have fun now. I’m going back to bed after I drink some water. Tzuyu, be safe okay.

Tzuyu: yes Appa… Good night.

Sana: Your dad is an interesting man.

Tzuyu. Yeah… I don’t even know either… I never really interacted with him or my family at all. I’ll tell you more about it when we get to your house.

I quickly got my things and went quickly to Sana as she was waiting outside my door. I then went out my door and held her hand guiding get away from my house going to her house. This time she guided me since I didn’t know exactly where her room was and I didn’t know the entrances for the apartment complex. As we arrived at her door she fumbled for her keys and opened it gently to not disturb the other neighbors around her.

Sana: Welcome to my little home! And please make yourself at home. It’s a little small but that what I like about it since it makes everything feel cozy.

I walked around and noticed how neat and tidy her place was. I saw that she has a lot of things from stuffed animals, to cute plushy and decorative flowers. I placed my things on the ground. I only brought a sleeping bag and some clothes to change to sleep and to go to school tomorrow.

Sana: Why don’t you go shower, since you were sweating a lot earlier. And I’ll set up a futon for you to sleep.

Tzuyu: I brought my sleeping bag so it is fine.

Sana: hmmm. Why don’t we sleep on the same bed? That way there is less cleaning and we can keep each other warm.

I think my face was turning a bit red and felt my cheeks heating up, and turned around quickly so she wouldn’t be able to see it

Tzuyu: Sure! Why not… Uhmm where is the restroom, so I can take a shower?

Sana: Oh silly me~ I’ll take you there now.

Tzuyu; I’ll go by myself, you just need to point where I have to go.

Sana: It’s to your right! Just go down the hall a bit and it should be the first door to the right.

I looked around in her bathroom and saw how cute her shampoos were. They had mini characters and bunnies all over. It was pink and baby blue all over the restroom and couldn’t help but think about cotton candy. I took my shower and then changed, making my way back to Sana’s room but I think I saw something I wasn’t supposed to see.

Sana: Kyaaa

Tzuyu: Sorry Sorry I’ll turn around…. I saw her … she has such a….NO WHAT- OKAY.

Sana: y-you can turn around now…

Tzuyu: Sorry I walked in without knocking and I didn’t mean it, but uhmm, I guess your pretty with and withou- okay sorry I take that back. You pretty either way

Then Sana Started giggling and I started laughing too, breaking away from the tense moment. Then she approaches sleety and tip toed to my ear and whispered something.

Sana: Next time I get to see too…

Then she took my hand and guided me to the bed. I was on one side and she was on the other. We turned and faced each other and couldn’t help but stare into her eyes and how beautiful they were. I could fall in love with her every single day and I wouldn’t be tired.

Sana: Can you tell me a bit about you? I noticed you were always there for me but I never asked anything about yourself. If you want to tell me then I am all ear but if you don’t I will wait here forever until you are comfortable sharing it with me. Like what you said to me, I will say to you, I won’t force you to say anything and I will be patient.

Sana then leaned forward and kissed my eyelids and then cuddled closely to me. Wrapping her hands around me. She was breathing against my neck and I can feel the outline of her lips against the crock of my neck. I felt at bliss and happy. I know this is the last night I can really be with her like this but I want to indulge as much as I could. I don’t know if I can actually separate from her. But if it means she is safe I don’t mind this pain one bit.<
