No One’s POV

Woohyun went upstairs after a little talk with his husband and went straight into the bathroom to freshen up. While showering, Woohyun couldn’t help it but to blame himself for what happened to Myungsoo. Guilt eats him up every time he saw Myungsoo’s bandaged hand and his heart clenched when he saw Myungsoo wince each and every time. He knew that it was not a really big deal but he felt like he was responsible for this. Woohyun was the only son and he didn’t know what it feels like to care and protect someone until he met Myungsoo. Although their first meeting doesn’t go so well, but eventually Woohyun starts to care more about Myungsoo. He has the urge of protecting Myungsoo everywhere and everyday. He finally knew how it feels to have a little brother and all he did was screw up

Knock Knock

The door to the bathroom was knocked and that snapped Woohyun out of his trance

“Hyun, hurry up, your friends’ has arrived”

The sound of his husband’s husky voice echoed in the bathroom

“Okay just a second!”

He heard a soft hummed from Sunggyu and turn off the faucet. He put on a white silk bathrobe and grabbed a small towel to dry his hair

He walked out of the bathroom and was greeted by the sight of his husband sprawled on the bed while playing with his phone

“My friends are downstairs?”

Sunggyu doesn’t reply and just hummed lazily at Woohyun

Suddenly there’s something boiling up inside Woohyun’s head and he snapped

“What? You’re suddenly mute now?”

Woohyun doesn’t know why he’s suddenly being upset with the lack of response from Sunggyu. He actually noticed that there’s slight change in his attitude lately which he’s not sure if Sunggyu acknowledge it. There’s one time when he already prepared dinner but Sunggyu suddenly called him saying that he’s going to have dinner outside with his workers. He immediately ended the call and throws his phone on the floor. The next thing he knew, all the foods were thrown into the dustbin and he went to sleep without waiting for Sunggyu or even bother to have dinner.

Sunggyu, being the hot tempered guy he is, was totally annoyed by Woohyun’s sudden rage. This is not the first time that Woohyun out of sudden threw him rude comments and getting mad at him. Before this, Sunggyu just let it all go assuming that it was the stressed from having to handle such a huge event for their wedding. But tonight, he reached his limit. His anger at Woohyun from Myungsoo’s accident was still there although it’s dissipating. And now Woohyun just fuel up his anger by suddenly snapping at him.

Sunggyu threw his phone on the bed and went after Woohyun into the closet

Woohyun just stormed off to the closet after he snapped and Sunggyu followed his pace, chasing Woohyun. Sunggyu grabbed Woohyun by his shoulder and spun him around

Woohyun however doesn’t appreciate being man-handled and he scowled at his own husband

“What the is your problem Kim Sunggyu?”

Woohyun said those words with venom laced in his voice and removed Sunggyu’s hand from his shoulder. He was about to open his closet when suddenly the door slammed shut and his body was turned and slammed to the closet. He hissed when his back made contact with the closet door harshly. Sunggyu was now just an inch facing him with annoyed looks on his face. Woohyun wanted to escape because he really didn’t want to deal with Sunggyu right now. But his attempt was futile when Sunggyu trap him between his arms. The only way to get of this tension is to face the devil itself.

“What is wrong with you lately huh?! You’ve been snapping at me out of the blue most of the time. I don’t know what I did wrong, which I probably never did… and you’re just being so disrespectful! Just in case you forgot, I’m your ing husband and clearly older than you. I don’t appreciate when you disrespect me and…”

“STOP!”

Sunggyu stopped his rambling and narrowed his eyes at Woohyun.

“Just stop it… your voice is just too loud ugh..”

Woohyun now felt dizzy as Sunggyu’s cologne hit up his nostrils and he can’t help but leaned his head backward trying to get as far as he can from Sunggyu’s body so that he can get rid of Sunggyu’s cologne smell that were making him feeling nausea

However the smells got stronger and Woohyun could feel his stomach churning and coiling inside

Upon seeing Woohyun’s flushed face and contorted face, Sunggyu was alarmed that something was wrong with his husband

“Woohyun? Hey baby what’s wrong”

“Go away”

Woohyun tried to push Sunggyu as he could feel the bile moving from the pit of his stomach up till his throat.

“Are you okay?”

“Who’s perfume you’re wearing?”

“What do you mean? This was the one that you bought for me”

“Throw it, it smells like ”

Sunggyu frowned because the perfume was Woohyun’s favorite and he’s been wearing it for almost every day. Why suddenly he said that it smelled like ?

Sunggyu was about to say something when suddenly Woohyun’s face turned green and the next thing he knew, Woohyun was kneeling on the expensive carpeted floor and was throwing out all of the food content from his previous lunch. Sunggyu sat down and patted Woohyun’s back to calm Woohyun’s down but the gesture end up just making Woohyun throwing up more.

Woohyun’s eyes were teary and he was gasping a lot. Sunggyu call for the maid to clean up the mess in the closet. With Woohyun still in his bathrobe, Sunggyu carefully lift up his husband and brought him to the bathroom. Sunggyu help Woohyun leaned over the sink and wash his mouth from the stain. Sunggyu then grabbed Woohyun’s toothbrush and squeezed some toothpaste on it before he handed the brush to Woohyun. Woohyun immediately snatch it from Sunggyu’s hand and quickly brushed his teeth to get rid of the horrible taste in his mouth

Sunggyu then gently bring Woohyun to sit on their bed. He poured Woohyun a cup of water and held the glass by Woohyun’s lips. Woohyun took the glass and gulped down the water in one go to relief the burning sensation from his throat

Woohyun then laid himself on the bed while Sunggyu went to pick clothes for Woohyun because he can catch a cold with his hairs still wet and dressed only in thin silk robe. Sunggyu also doesn’t forget to change his own attire which got some of Woohyun’s puke on them

When Sunggyu went to the bed, he saw that Woohyun had his eyes closed and notice that his breathing was shaggy and irregular. Sunggyu sat down beside Woohyun and scoop his husband’s upper body up

“Can you wear this yourself?”

With a weak shook from Woohyun’s head, Sunggyu straightaway help Woohyun to put on his clothes. When he was done, Woohyun instantly clung to his husband by wrapping his arms around Sunggyu’s neck. At this very moment, Sunggyu could feel Woohyun’s trembling body and he knew immediately that Woohyun is sick. Sunggyu put his hand on Woohyun’s forehead and wince as it made contact with Woohyun’s burning tan skin.

“Oh no Hyun, you’ve caught high fever. Come on and get up, let’s go to the hospital”

Woohyun doesn’t replied as he felt his body weaken and shivering badly. His eyes were closed and he doesn’t have energy to even open up his eyelid. The only thing Woohyun realize at that time was Sunggyu’s warmth and he wrapped his arm tighter around his husband’s neck

As Woohyun doesn’t give any respond to his question, Sunggyu untangled Woohyun’s body from himself and went to the closet to grab Woohyun’s sweater. He slid the sweater over Woohyun’s head and helps him with the sleeve. Sunggyu then slid his hands under Woohyun’s back and under Woohyun’s leg; hoisting his husband up bridal style.

As Sunggyu make his way to the living room, he could hear the sound of people’s laughter, mostly from his mom and Woohyun’s tall friend. But the laughter died down when they notice a pale Woohyun in thick clothing between his arms shivering. Woohyun’s mom stood up and went to both of them

“What happened? Sunggyu?”

“I don’t know either; he just suddenly caught up with fever. I’m bringing him to the hospital. Don’t worry it’s just a normal fever”

Sunggyu gave her a reassured smile and went outside to the porch. He was struggling to take out his car keys from his pocket. When the car was unlocked, Sunggyu opened the passenger door and secured Woohyun with the seatbelt. He closed the door and went to the driver side before he zoomed to the hospital

At The Hospital

Sunggyu carried Woohyun into the hospital and the nurse immediately went to pull out a wheelchair for Woohyun. When Sunggyu wanted to place Woohyun on the wheelchair, Woohyun in his semi-conscious state, tighten his arms around Sunggyu’s neck almost choking his husband. Sunggyu get it that that his husband doesn’t want to be pushed on the wheelchair. In the end, he just gave an apologetic smile to the nurse and hoisted his husband up again; securing the weak male in between his strong arms

Since Woohyun’s case wasn’t an emergency, they had to wait up for a few minutes before they can get to see the doctor. At first, Sunggyu wants to call Uncle Wook but turned out the old man went for a holiday alone at London. And that only left Sunggyu with one choice which is to bring Woohyun to the hospital himself

“Kim Woohyun”

Sunggyu’s ears perked up when he heard the nurse called for the patient’s name. He went into the room and sit down on the patient’s chair with Woohyun still between his arms

“I’m sorry, he doesn’t want to let go of me”

“It’s alright. Now, can you tell me the problem?”

“Well, just now he suddenly pukes and the fever rose up very quick. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t get any earlier this evening.”

The doctor hummed and grabbed his stethoscope

“Can you please lift up his shirt? I need to check his breathing”

Sunggyu nodded and pulled up Woohyun’s two layer of clothing revealing his bare skin. He could feel Woohyun shuddered when the cold stethoscope made contact with his skin.

“Hm, his breathing is a little bit irregular but it was fine. Um, can you laid him on the bed please?”

While Sunggyu was having a hard time putting Woohyun on the bed, the doctor had ordered the nurse to bring an ultra sound machine. Sunggyu quirked his eyebrow at the presence of the machine.

Sunggyu watched as the doctor pulled up Woohyun’s shirt revealing his torso and pulled out a tube containing clear blue gel

“This may be cold a little bit”

The doctor squeezed the gel onto Woohyun’s torso and spread the cold gel evenly. Woohyun unconsciously tried to remove the doctor’s hand from his stomach but Sunggyu was quick to grabbed both of his hands and hold them securely; preventing his husband from disturbing the doctor’s job

The doctor moves the scanner around Woohyun’s stomach as she looks at the screen trying to find something. Sunggyu also watch the doctor as he was curious about his husband wellbeing.

Finally the doctor stopped and a genuine smile decorated on her beautiful face. The doctor pointed to a small white bean on the screen

“Did you see that?”

“The white bean?”

The doctor chuckled at Sunggyu’s silly question

“That bean was your baby. Congratulations, he’s pregnant”

Sunggyu’s mouth gaped and his eyes widen. He kept looking at the screen and Woohyun’s torso as he could not believe that he’s going to be a daddy

“I-I’m gonna be a daddy?”

Sunggyu couldn’t help the grin that was forming on his face as he kept staring at the monitor. The doctor giggled at Sunggyu’s reaction and suggested to print up the image in which Sunggyu agreed to immediately

Nothing can describe Sunggyu’s happiness right now. He knew that the responsibility just keep adding up at the presence of the new Kim. He can’t wait to tell his family about this. He was now imagining how his son/daughter gonna look like while waiting for Woohyun absorb all the vitamins solution from the IV drip.

And just in time, Woohyun’s eyes flutter opened and Sunggyu beamed at his now awaken husband.

“You’re alright? You want water?”

“Y-yes p-pleas…e”

Woohyun replied with a cracked voice

When Woohyun finished up the water, he asked Sunggyu what happens and Sunggyu told him everything except for the pregnancy part. He wants to surprise Woohyun

“So, I can go home after I finish the bag?”

Woohyun gestured his head to the hanging vitamin solution bag

“Yes”

“Okay… so did the doctor gave me any painkiller because my head is pounding right now”

“No.”

Sunggyu replied with a smile and it only deepens the frowns on Woohyun’s face

“What? Did she give me another medicine then? And what’s up with the grin? You look too happy for someone that has his husband lying on hospital bed.”

“No. She didn’t give any medicine. And in fact~ you’re not even allowed any kind of medicine. Only vitamins”

“Is the doctor out of her mind or what?”

“No she’s not”

Sunggyu shook his head and he let out a small chuckle as he glanced at Woohyun’s torso

“Okay, stop beating around the bush and tell me the truth”

“Are you ready?”

Woohyun quirked his eyebrows in questioning manner

“Ready for what?”

“Well, to be a mommy”

Woohyun chocked on his saliva but he regained his composure as Sunggyu fed him water

“Don’t you get it?”

“Get what? Stop it! You’re creeping me out”

“You’re pregnant, with our baby”

Woohyun gasped and he put his hand on his torso

“I-I’m pregnant?!”

“That’s why I’ve been experiencing mood swings?! And… and the nausea?!”

Sunggyu nodded eagerly and his hairs bounce around

“Do you want to see the picture?”

“YES!”

“Okay here we go… 1…2…3!

Sunggyu took out the picture from the previous ultrasound and shoved in on Woohyun’s face

“Is this our baby?! OH MY GOD I’M SO HAPPY GYU!!!”

Woohyun’s scream gained attention from other patients, and Sunggyu immediately clasped Woohyun’s mouth shut while bowing down in apology to everyone

Sunggyu chuckled and told Woohyun to lower down his voice

“From now on, you have to take extra care for your body and I will always help you with your journey to bringing this little bean into the world alright?”

“Pinky promise?

“Pinky promise”

Both of them just kept staring at the picture and were planning on how to tell their family about it. Obviously their family didn’t know about their marriage yet but they didn’t care. They were positive that everyone gonna be so delighted over the presence of a new Kim’s family member

While they were so immersed into the great news, the Vitamins solution was finished and they were ready to go home. Sunggyu went to pay for the bill and when he went to bed again, he saw that Woohyun was still sitting on the bed

“What are you doing? Don’t you want to go home?”

“Did you really bring me here without my shoes on?”

Sunggyu look down to Woohyun’s dangling bare foot and he smacked his head at his own idiocy

Sunggyu turn on his back and crouched down on the floor

“Hop on, I will piggy back you”

Woohyun smiled and hop on Sunggyu’s broad and warm back.
