Na Hyun- and...Jun Hyung... I’ll miss you

-She spent that night without taking her eyes off Jun Hyung; She didn’t even think about sleeping. How was she to face tomorrow knowing that her friend who’s been like a brother was now gone forever?-

- 2 months pass-

Na Hyun- ! Jun Hyung!

Jun Hyung- ....

Na Hyun- Jun Hyung! Jun Hyung!

-Na Hyun continues to shout his name, but he doesn’t hear. She runs towards him, but he starts to disappear. Then, she wakes up crying in her bed. Na Hyun’s been having the same nightmare for the past 2 months. She sees Jun Hyung writing on a notebook looking sad. She wants to hug him and ask him why the sad face. But no matter what she does, she can’t get near him and then he starts to fade. What was Jun Hyung writing? Was there anything he wanted to tell her before he got shut down? She just wanted to comfort him and tell him that everything’s all right. She just wanted to look at his eyes and feel his presence; to have his warm hands in her’s. But as she looks at Jun Hyung on her bed, she sees fiction and fact. The fiction she dreams and the facts of reality: Jun Hyung’s not coming back to her, unless she wants him to forget all about her and be taken away to the army. Every night depression constricts her as she prays to God for comfort and acceptance.-

-Morning-

Prof. Woo- Have a good day at school, Na Hyun. Cheer up, now. It’s been 2 months already. After all, I don’t think Jun Hyung would like seeing you sad.

Na Hyun-....do you know, Appa (father)?

Prof. Woo- Know what, my dear?

Na Hyun- Every night in my dreams, I see him writing on a notebook...he looked so sad.. Was there anything he wanted to say to me before he was shut down?

Prof. Woo- !... I think I have just the answer to your question, but for now, go to school. Yo Seob is waiting. I’ll tell you later.

Na Hyun- Okay, then. Kansahamnida (thank you) Appa. God bless you today. Bye bye, love you.

Prof. Woo- Love you too, dear. May God bless you and comfort you in this time of sadness.

-Outside house-

Yo Seob- Good morning Hyuny.

Na Hyun- Morning, Seobie.

-Walks to school-

Yo Seob- You know, I kind of have something to say to you.

Na Hyun- What is it?

Yo Seob- :(  You don’t look as cheerful as you used to; I’ve been worrying about you for a while now. Is there anything you have to get off your chest?

Na Hyun- Eobseo (nothing). It’s just been 2 months since his ... (I’m not supposed to tell anyone Jun Hyung’s a robot) ...his death.

Yo Seob- ! Who’s death?

Na Hyun- You know Jun Hyung, right? My other best friend besides from you who always hangs-out at my place? He died on our second day as boyfriend-girlfriend.

Yo Seob- !... I’m so sorry... I didn’t know that something like that happened.

-Na Hyun stops where she is, and tears start to fall-

Na Hyun- Yeah...didn’t see it coming either...and he...he was always so nice to me... (starts to cry)

Yo Seob- :( 

-Yo Seob hugs her and comforts her. But it was just so hard to be relieved of this pain. It’s as if part of her couldn’t accept the fact that there was no more Jun Hyung waiting for her to come back from school every day. No more Jun Hyung to watch Ugly Young Ae with. No more Jun Hyung to rap jokes at her at very high speed. She felt so severely wounded.-

-At school, she continues to be distracted by thoughts of Jun Hyung. She couldn’t focus on anything. Yo Seob keeps worrying about her-

Yo Seob- Lord, help me to cheer her up.

-After School-

-Walking Na Hyun home-

Yo Seob-... Hyuny?

Na Hyun- Yes?

Yo Seob- Don’t take this the wrong way please, but (sad face) I think you have to get over your friend. It’s been 2 months already. If the guy’s dead, crying rivers still won’t bring him back. So please, stop always being so depressed. I hate to see you this way; I can’t stand seeing you miserable. I want to do something to cure your pain, but in this case, only you can cure yourself. You have to stop living in the past and accept what happened.

Na Hyun- ...I can’t let go of him...I can’t, Seobie... I don’t want to...

Yo Seob- (Holds her face and looks her in the eyes) Jebal (Please)... Do it for me... because (He starts to get teary eyed)...I find it so hard to admit to myself that I can’t do anything to stop you from crying inside,...(starts to cry) I want to save you from sadness and it’s so hard for me to know that (sniff), that I’m a boyfriend who can’t make his girlfriend smile when things are going bad for her... that (sniff) I’m such a useless boyfriend...

Na Hyun- ! No, that’s not true! (She wipes Yo Seob’s tears, and smiles for him) (smile) You’re the most awesome boyfriend any girl could ask for. You’re one of the most wonderful gifts that God gave me. Please don’t ever think you’re useless; I love you.

Yo Seob- (sniff)... I love you too; so much.

Na Hyun- (smile) Pls. don’t cry anymore Seobie. I promise to try my best in getting over Jun Hyung’s death. I’ll do it for you. Araso (okay) ?

Yo Seob- (nod)

-They arrive at Na Hyun’s house-

Na Hyun- I’ll see you tomorrow with a smile, right? If you don’t, I’ll feel like a useless girlfriend.

Yo Seob- He he. Yeah. Good bye Hyuny. I love you.

Na Hyun- Good bye Seobie. I love you, too.

-The 2 go their separate ways-

-Na Hyun’s house-

Prof. Woo- How was school today?

Na Hyun- I still felt sad about Jun Hyung, but at the end of the day, Seobie won me over. I’ll be more positive from now on, thanks to him.^^

Prof. Woo- I’m so glad to hear that^^ Do you still want to know what Jun Hyung was writing, in your dream?

Na Hyun- ! Of course! Do you have an idea about it?

Prof. Woo- Yes, but I don’t know how you’re going to react. Let’s sit down. You’ll need to take this in, I know you will.

-They sit down-

Prof. Woo- The truth is, what caused Jun Hyung’s depression which lead him to shut down was feelings bottled up inside and shattered. I personally have myself to blame for that...

Na Hyun- What do you mean?

Prof. Woo- Jun Hyung loves you, and not as a sister, but as a true lover. And he wanted to confess. I told him that there was no way the 2 of you were ever gonna be together because you’re human and he’s a robot. That made him feel so bad inside, he ended up crying and the overflow of oil shut him down. I’m sorry; it’s my fault for making him sad. But what was I suppose to say? That there’s actually a chance for him to get you? How could I, when you’ve already got a boyfriend? I had to set him up straight about it, rather than let him get hurt confessing to you, and being rejected. So, I think that maybe, what Jun Hyung was writing in your dream was his confession to you which never happened. He looked sad while writing because he wasn’t able to tell you how he felt.

Na Hyun- !... I never knew... It’s... it’s my fault... that Jun Hyung’s gone...

Prof. Woo- Now, Na Hyun. We both know that’s not true. In the very beginning, robots aren’t supposed to have emotions or feel love. I made it that way so that Jun Hyung could live like a normal boy; the life he used to have but was taken away from him because of a terrible accident. Don’t blame yourself, child. It’s not your fault.

Na Hyun- ...

-That night, Na Hyun lies on her bed miserably once more. Just when she was about to get over Jun Hyung, she finds out that she was somehow part of what caused his unbearable sorrow. But even if Jun Hyung had the chance to confess to her, of course she would have to reject him. She already has Yo Seob. On top of that, Jun Hyung’s not even human. They could never be together. Could they? She finds it hard to distinguish fact from fiction at this moment. What if, just maybe, Jun Hyung and her could be together...how about Yo Seob? Could things really work out? They would never get married because he’s not human...Could things be that way? Why does she feel as if she might actually love Jun Hyung even if he’s a robot? All her troubles brought her to sleep that night.-

- When Yo Seob had dropped Na Hyun off and was on his way home, there was no doubt about it. Someone was following him. He started to walk faster-

Yo Seob- (Man... who is this guy?..)

-Then suddenly he starts to see shadows in the distance; they were blocking his way home. But there was an alley he could go to that also leads to his house. The shadows were coming towards him and he could feel that the man following him was starting to get closer. They suddenly ran towards him. He had no choice; he ran through the alley-

Yo Seob- (! There! My House! I just have to run a little further!)

-Smoke started to fill the area-

Yo Seob- (! Man! My feet are starting to feel weak....I’m getting dizzy.....)
