“Pick one for me…” He’s delighted to ask this of me and I happen to roll my eyes at this.

“Jelly fish –that will be five –seventy four with tax.” I cite with my hand already receiving the exact amount in bills and coins. I hide the smirk when I hit the register and assess the profit into the designated slots.

“Put them on me….” He now requests.

I’ve got to give it to him –my spirits are a little up today so I take the little box of almost sold out band aids and nag, “You just got band aids two days ago. You can’t be injuring yourself on purpose.”

He may sort of be a clutz; I’ve learned after some time, but he isn’t that much of an idiot to scrap a knee and dip himself in such unnecessary pain.
