Jongkook apartment

“Don’t move” jongkook stand still quietly like he was commanded. He can feel the stress on the intruder voices. He sounded desperate. And yet feels like he recognizes that person voices. He swallows his saliva while looking at the person who is still pointing the gun toward him. “can I a least turn on the light?” jongkook ask cautiously not wanting the person to misunderstood him for any movement he make. “yes. You may switch on the light” the man answers his question after a while of thinking. Jongkook do it as he was permitted to do so. He brings his finger to flick the switch on. The room become bright as the light fill the entire rooms.  “gary?” jongkook gasps in shock after recognizing the person who broke into his house. Sudden anger built up into him as he saw Gary. He is boiling. He’s mad at him for hurting jihyo. He takes huge step to Gary while gripping his hand into a fist ready to punch him, to beat him down. He’s too mad he forgot that gary is holding a gun. He ran to Gary like an angry bull, a crazy bull if you would say. Seeing jongkook moving fast toward him, gary swiftly avoid him and give him a slight push behind his back to make him fall to the ground hard. Jongkook’s head hit the edge of the furniture as he falls down. The hit gives him a huge pain. He grunts in pain while holding the bump on his head. But Jongkook doesn’t give up though. He gets up again and ready to make another attack on Gary. He really wants to make him pay for what he did to jihyo. He doesn’t care anymore for what Gary’s capable of doing. He knows gary can take his life in an instant but he don’t care anymore. He really wants to make him pay, for hurting the woman he love. Seeing jongkook is too determined, gary has no choice but to stop him at all costs, but he don’t have any intention to shoot him though. He was just thinking of scarring him the gun. But seeing that it is not working, he has to do something else. While jongkook took his step to make another attempt to punch him, gary swiftly land his punch on jongkook’s nose making him fall on the floor instantly. Red blood coming out from jongkook’s nose as he grunts in pain. It is too painful he feels like the nose is broken. Seeing jongkook not getting up anymore. Gary walk to him to pass his hyung a tissue, to wipe his nose from the blood. “I’m sorry…I would rather let you hit me too for what I did to jihyo…but I don’t have much time…people will start looking for me…I need to talk to you” Gary said to jongkook while trying to help him up. Jongkook push gary’s body away from him, not wanting his help. He feels annoyed and angry toward him. He trusted him, and now he felt betrayed. He trusted him to take care of jihyo, to love her, to give her the happiness she deserves, but turn out he’s hurting her even worsts, worse than anybody ever did. “what do you want? Are you not finish hurting us? Is it not enough that you’ve been lying to us all this time? You treat us like bunch of idiot. Most importantly you treat jihyo like an idiot. You hurt her. Do you know how much you’re hurting her?!!!” jongkook yell out his anger toward gary. Gary just silent himself. He didn’t say anything to reply jongkook’s yelling. He just walks himself and land on a stool while bending his head down. He feels ashamed of himself. He knows his mistake, his wrong doing. He knows his hurting each and every one of them. And most importantly he knows he’s hurting jihyo, the woman that he love so much, the woman he always swore to protect. Of course he knows that. And his blaming himself for that.

“how is she doing hyung?” Gary ask jongkook after a moment of silent. Jongkook smirk annoyingly hearing his question “why do you even care?”. Gary feels a sharp prick in his heart upon hearing jongkook’s words. He knows he doesn’t have the right to ask about jihyo anymore after what he did to her, but he needs to know, he desperately needs to know about her. He look at jongkook with a begging eyes, but jongkook isn’t giving in. He just silent himself ignoring Gary. Gary try his luck again. He try to ask jongkook again “please hyung, you have to trust me. I really love her. I really do”. “trust you? if you really love her, you wouldn’t dare do this to her. you wouldn’t hurt her” jongkook said annoyingly to gary. He then walks himself to the sofa and land himself on it as he look at gary. He’s really pissed at him. “why do you want to see me anyway? What do you want? You want me to help you with her? Forget it. I won’t do that anymore gary. I will not help you out gary. I don’t want you to hurt her anymore” jongkook said to gary slightly raising his voice to him. He really hates him now, for lying to them all this while. More importantly for lying to jihyo all this while. Gary silent himself upon hearing jongkook’s word. It clears to him he already lost their friendship. He is no longer his dongsaeng and he is no longer his hyung. Gary try to speak up to jongkook again. “Do you still remember when I refused to date her?” Gary ask jongkook with a solemn voice as he recall the memory. Jongkook look at him too, waiting for him to continue. It’s true what gary said. Before they even started dating, Gary refuse to go out with jihyo, even if he himself has feeling for her. He even refused jihyo’s request to go on a date with her. Its jongkook who pushed him, to go out with jihyo. “I’m not supposed to have feeling for anyone hyung. I know my job will only bring danger to anyone close to me. That’s why I refused to go out with her initially. But I can’t help it. I really fallen for her. I mean, how could I not. She’s amazing. I thought I could just ignore my feeling, but turn I was wrong. I can’t stop myself from loving her. And everything was going fine until now hyung”. Gary pause himself as he looks at jongkook. He’s voice is breaking in sadness as he speaks. “I know what I did was wrong. I know I hurt all of you especially jihyo. But right now, I need to protect her. I need to keep her safe. I’ll be leaving soon. I’ll be moving out of Seoul” that word got jongkook attention. He has mix feeling after listening to gary. He don’t get what gary trying to say “what do you mean by protecting her? protect her from what?” jongkook ask curiously. He need to know if it is regarding to jihyo. Gary sigh hearing his question “there is a reason why my superior discloses my secret to jihyo…” “what reason?” jongkook ask cutting gary’s word. He’s eager to know. Gary give jongkook a weak smile before he continues to speak “someone is trying to kill me” jongkook eyes open wide upon hearing that. He never expected that. He got shock hearing his words. He thought gary was lying. He looks gary deeply in the eyes to seek for the truth. Turn out he is telling the truth “that’s why my superior decide to tell jihyo my secret. To make her distance herself from me, to keep her safe. Because as long as I’m with her, she might be in danger hyung. My enemy will do anything in order to get to me. That’s why I need to leave, to keep her safe” Jongkook begin to understand what gary trying to say. Gary has to leave for jihyo safety. Then another realization come to his mind “you really love her don’t you?” jongkook ask gary. “with all my heart hyung. I can’t imagine if something bad happen to her. I won’t forgive myself. That’s why I have to leave. I need to know she is safe. I need to know she’s happy. And if my leave can make her safe, I’m willing to go, for her” “gary-ah…” Jongkook lost of word upon hearing Gary. He knows now Gary’s truly love jihyo. He love her so much he’s sacrificing himself for her. “You have to promise me hyung, that you’re gonna make her happy. That you’re gonna give her all the happiness that I can’t. That’s why I come here tonight, I need you promise me that” gary said to jongkook while his voice begins to stuttering. His eyes begin to watery. It hurt him so much that he has to give up on the woman he love, to live the rest of his life without her. Jongkook got shock upon hearing Gary’s word “what are talking about gary-ah. why me?” Jongkook feels confuses upon the request. Of course he’ll always care for jihyo. But for gary to make such request, he feels weird especially when the request come for her own boyfriend. “I don’t have to be spy to know you have feeling for her hyung. I know you love her. The look in your eyes tell everything.” gary said to jongkook while giving him a weak smile. jongkook swallow his saliva upon hearing that. His heart stop a beat. He never expects his hidden feeling for jihyo would be noticed, especially not by gary. He thought he kept it well all this time. Jongkook bend his head looking at the floor, feeling ashamed to gary for having feeling toward his girlfriend all this time. He feels guilty “it’s okay hyung. You don’t have to be sorry. I’m the one who supposed to be sorry, for taking her away from you all this while”. Gary spoke out as if he knows what jongkook is thinking. “can you promise me all this hyung?” gary ask jongkook again. Jongkook doesn’t know what he else to say. All gary’s word, his request are to shocking for him. Jongkook just nod his head slowly without uttering any other word. He’s not sure of what to do. He knows Gary love jihyo. And it breaks his heart to know Gary is scarifying everything for her. Feeling that he already told jongkook everything, gary begin to take his step to leave the house, leaving jongkook alone. Seeing that gary’s leaving, jongkook speak up, calling him again “when will be seeing you again Gary-ah”. Gary inhale a deep breath upon hearing the question. He exhales a long sigh. He looks at jongkook with a small smile on his face. And yet the small smile unable to hide his broken feeling. “you won’t hyung.” Gary said while shaking his head. With that Gary leave the house leaving jongkook alone thinking by himself. He’s wondering to himself in cloud of thought “how can I replace you gary-ah. there’s only you in her heart…” jongkook mumble to himself as his head racing with thought of what to do next.

4 days later

R Restaurant

Jongkook, Haha, jihyo and kwangsoo are seating on the table of four together. They are having their lunch together. Ever since jihyo’s fight with gary, all of them have been accompanying jihyo all the time, being there for her, comforting her. Sometime Haha even bring his wife, byul to join them, to take care of jihyo. He feels byul will able to understand jihyo better since she’s a woman too. But every time he asks his wife’s opinion, she will just say the same reason; jihyo miss Gary badly. But she’s still not ready to forgive him. So the group decide to keep on accompanying jihyo, to be there for her if she needs anything. They don’t want to let jihyo be by herself. They know how much jihyo is hurting now and need someone to distract her mind from thinking about Gary. They know she miss her boyfriend. It’s true what byul said, even though gary is the one who’s hurting her, jihyo can’t stop herself from thinking about him all the time. Sometime jihyo feels like wanting to call gary, or find him at Gil’s house, to see him, to talk to him. But she will stop herself from doing so every time she’s thinking about it. Jihyo try to ignore those feeling away. Even if she miss gary, she don’t want to give in to him. She’s hurting so much by him. And the rest of them know that. They will try to cheer her up and make her forget about Gary. But not jongkook though, he’s been trying and trying to persuade jihyo to meet gary. He wants them to have a good talk, well at least that’s what he’s been telling everyone. But the truth is, he wants jihyo to know the real reason gary doing all of this. He wants jihyo to know how much gary love her. But he fails miserably every time he tried to convince her, jihyo would not agree to his request. And Haha and kwangsoo keep on discouraging her from seeing Gary. They afraid if jihyo got hurt again. Jongkook become restless. He’s afraid if it is too late for them. Jihyo on the other hand still not ready to face Gary. She need more time before she can bring herself to meet him. While the rest of them are enjoying their lunch, both jongkook and jihyo didn’t eat much. They just scribble their food with the fork, playing with it. They don’t feel like eating, jihyo because she miss gary and jongkook is still thinking of way to make jihyo agree to see Gary. The two of them just seat there quietly while thinking by themselves.

After the long silent, jongkook suddenly speak up. “jihyo-ah…” jihyo raise her head to look at jongkook. It’s apparent in jongkook’s eyes she is miserable. It’s clear she’s been missing Gary. Haha and kwangsoo too look at jongkook. They can assume what he’s gonna say. “why don’t you give Gary a call…you two should talk about this” jongkook said to her while looking at her deeply in the eyes. jihyo sigh upon hearing him. It’s not like she don’t want too. But she’s still not ready. “oppa…I need more time. If I go now, I know I can’t hold myself anymore and just give in to him. I don’t want that oppa. I need him to know how much he’s hurting me”. “of course he know jihyo-ah. of course he know he’s hurting you. But just give him a chance to explain himself” jongkook said to jihyo softly trying to persuade her. “I need more time oppa…” jihyo said while bending her head looking at her food silently. “until when? When will you be ready?” jongkook ask jihyo again. He didn’t want to give up. Haha and kwangsoo who has been listening all this time begin to interfere. They don’t like hearing jongkook’s keep insisting jihyo to do something she’s not ready upon. “stop it hyung. You know she’s not ready. Besides we don’t hear gary-hyung calling jihyo. Ever since he left, did he even try to find her, to call her? Apologize to her? He did nothing. So stop asking jihyo to meet him”. Haha said to jongkook annoyingly. He want protect jihyo from gary. He don’t want to see his dongsaeng hurt anymore. Feeling dissatisfied, jongkook speak up again “what if it’s too late jihyo-ah?”. That question caught jihyo attention. What does he mean by that. “what are you talking about oppa? what do you mean too late?” she asks jongkook in confuse. She feels something is not right. Jongkook pause himself. All of them are looking at him, waiting for him to continue. “he’ll be leaving jihyo-ah” jongkook answer her shortly. Jihyo eyes open wide upon hearing him. “what do you mean he’s leaving? Where is he going?” Jihyo ask him again, wanting to know more. She suddenly feels something is not right. She suddenly become afraid, afraid if she really lost Gary forever. Jongkook just shook his head to her question. Telling her he doesn’t have the answer for that question. After a long pause, he inhales a deep breath before continues to speak. He told everyone at the table what happen the night he meets Gary at his apartment. He tells her everything. He even tell her about someone trying to kill him. If it can make jihyo agree to meet gary, he will do it. So he tell her. But he leaves the part about his feeling for her though.

Jihyo’s fork dropped from her hand upon hearing jongkook’s story. She’s too shock upon hearing what jongkook just told her. Her eyes open wide. Her heart start pounding hard. She suddenly feels afraid if she lost her beloved Gary forever. And to know someone trying to kill him make it worst. She can’t have that. She needs to find him now. She needs to know Gary is safe. Her eyes become teary. Haha and kwangsoo also got shock upon hearing it. With a stuttering voice and teary eyes, jihyo ask jongkook “where is he now?” jongkook just shook his head upon the question. Jihyo heart sank upon hearing that. She really wants to know where Gary is. “please oppa…tell me…where is he now?” jihyo try asking him again. She’s begging for an answer. Her heart keep on pounding hard “I really don’t know jihyo. After that night, I didn’t see him anymore.” Tears start falling from her eyes as she hears the word from jongkook. She fear for the worst. She can’t loss him. “oh my good…why didn’t he tell me…why didn’t he tell me all this” jihyo mumble in her tears. “he’s trying to protect you jihyo-ah. that’s why he do all this”. Jongkook said while trying to calm her down. But it just make jihyo cry even harder. Haha and kwangsoo in mong state. They are dumbfounded. They don’t know what else to say. They feel shock too. “I need to see him oppa. I need to stop him from leaving” jihyo said while getting up from her chair. She want to find gary before it’s too late. She know now Gary really love her and she too isn’t willing to give him up. She rushs herself out of the restaurant while the rest of them try to chase her. Trying to follow her.

Jihyo press the pedal hard, speeding herself as she drives to Gil’s apartment. She know gary must be there. She has to see him now. She has to stop him from leaving. Tears never stop flowing from her beautiful eyes as she drive herself toward Gil’s apartment.

“do you really love me for who I am?”

Jihyo suddenly remember the question gary ask her while they were at the Han river. “I love you oppa. I’ll always love you” tears keep on flowing as she recall gary’s words.

“I swear I will always protect you…”

Another gary’s word surface to her mind. She finally understands what gary really meant by that. It breaks her heart knowing Gary sacrificing himself for her. She finally realizes gary never stop loving her. She keeps on sobbing in her tears as she speeds up the car to Gil’s place.

After a long drive, jihyo reach the building. She immediately gets out of the car and run herself towards the building. She ran herself as fast as she can. She desperately need to see gary. She stop her steps when she see her beloved Gary walking out of the building. Jihyo feels relieve she’s able to find gary before it’s too late. She can see he looks miserable; his face is full of sadness. He has a black backpack hanging from his back. Gary didn’t see jihyo though, he just keeps on walking. Gil is accompanying him and they are heading toward a group of man in black formal attire who has been waiting for them.  Just then jihyo realizes there are about six to seven black SUV waiting for Gary. She instantly knows gary’s about to leave now. She suddenly feels afraids. Her heart pounding hard. Unable to hold herself anymore, jihyo shout out at the top of her lung to call Gary. “oppa!!!” Gary froze his step upon hearing the familiar voice calling his name. The voice is too familiar he know instantly who it is. It’s the voice he has been missing all this while. He immediately knows it’s jihyo’s. He turns his head to see her running toward him. “jihyo? What are you doing here?” Gary can see clearly she’s been crying. It breaks his heart upon seeing her like that. Jihyo ignore his question. She ran herself toward Gary and land herself into him giving him a big hug. “where are you going oppa? You can’t leave me like this…” jihyo mumble in her sobs while pulling Gary’s body tightly into her embrace. She don’t want to let him go. She can’t let him go. “jihyo-ah…” “please oppa. you promised me you will always be my side”. Jihyo beg in her tears. Gary feels his heart broken into pieces seeing her like that. But he has to go. He has to protect her. “I’m sorry jihyo-ah. but I have to protect you” gary said to her with a breaking voice. His eyes begin to watery. It pains him so much that he has to be away from her. “no…I don’t care” jihyo shook her head upon hearing gary. “you cannot leave. I need you oppa. I cannot live without you. I need you”. Gary feels like his heart stabbed upon hearing her words. It’s killing him so much, too painful. He breaks the hug to look at jihyo. He scans her beautiful face carefully, looking at his beautiful tearing girlfriend. “look at me…please” Gary said to her in a whisper. Jihyo did as she was told. She looks at Gary in the eyes while she herself is still sobbing hard. “you have too jihyo-ah. you have to be happy. I’m doing all this so you can live, so you can be happy. Promise me you will be happy.” Jihyo cry even harder upon hearing his words. “oppa…” “promise me jihyo. You have to promise me!!” gary cut her words. He slightly raising his voice to her. He need to keep himself strong, for both of them. Jihyo nod weakly to him. She is still crying hard. Gary pull jihyo into his embrace again. He let her cry in his embrace while he himself is crying too. They hold into each other body tightly while tears continue to flow from their eyes.

“It’s time sir”

A sudden voice breaks the couple’s hug. Jihyo become restless. She’s afraid. She’s not willing to let Gary go now. She holds onto his hand tight. She’s not ready to loss him “oppa…please…” she begs for gary to stay. Gary bring his hand to wipe jihyo’s tears from her beautiful face. He caresses her soft cheek with his hand slowly. He wants to calm her down, but it just makes jihyo cry even harder. “I love you songjihyo. I really love you” Gary said to her lovingly and land his lips onto hers. Jihyo accept his kiss willingly, the kiss that she has been missing all this while. They kiss each other hard while tears keep on flowing from their eyes. They don’t want to let each other go. They know it’s their last kiss and need to preserve it forever. After the long hard kiss, gary pull himself back and walk away leaving jihyo who still leaning in desperately wanting more of that kiss. She desperately tried to ran after him but was stopped by the men in the black suit. “oppa… please don’t go…” jihyo beg for him to stay. But gary just walk away not looking back. He knows he will be weaken if he look back at her. So he just walks away and enter the SUV. It’s hurting him so much to see her like this. But he has to do it, for her safety. “I’m sorry jihyo-ah…I’m really sorry” he said to himself while cursing to himself for hurting her like that, but he has no choice. He can see from the window how jihyo broke down into her tears. He can see her body shaking hard as the car start leaving the scene. He then saw jongkook, Haha and kwangsoo run themselves toward jihyo’s who’s still crying on the ground. He can see all of them trying to calm her down. But she keeps on crying.  After a while of leaving the scene, he then shifts his attention to Gil who is sitting beside him at the backseat. “promise me you’ll keep her safe” he said to gil in a solemn voice. His heart is broken into pieces. Gil nods to his friend request “I will”. He too has a sad face on him. He knows how hurt Gary is. Gary then close his eyes trying to get rid of the painful feeling he had from separating from jihyo.

Jihyo fall to the ground in tears as she saw one by one of the black SUV drove away. She feels too much pain in her heart seeing Gary really leave. She can’t believe she just lost him forever. Tears keep on flowing from her eyes as she feels her heart stabbed repeatedly. “oppa…please…don’t go!!!” jihyo cry herself out while still on the ground. She then suddenly feels someone bring her body into an embrace. Its jongkook. He, Haha and kwangsoo has been following her. They saw what happen earlier. It pain their heart too to see the couple has to apart like that. “kwenchana jihyo-ah. you have to be strong. Gary need you to be strong” jongkook said to her while he rub jihyo’s back trying to calm her down. Jihyo keep on crying herself out. “I love him oppa…I really love him… I cannot loss him like this…” jihyo keeps on sobbing hard while the three man try to calm her down. It is too painful for them to see her like this now.
