Chapter sixteen

Beloved Leader

Idols. What right do people have to say that their personal lives belong to the public? The public choose who they go out with or who they befriends with. The truth is, idols are humans as well. Much like every other occupation there is out there, idol's jobs are just to heal our hearts and entertain us as best as they can. Idols are also humans. They have feelings as well.

Hanbin's face was partially covered with only his dark sparkling eyes were gleaming out. Since he was 10, he had always been the mature one. From time to time, he would show his childish and vulnerable side but he would always have his determined and mature nature. He doesn't think that life was unfair to him because he knew that for everything that he had, it had always came with a price. A price that he had to pay one way or the other. "One hot americano please." His soft voice ordered.

Currently, Hanbin was spending most of his time at the cafe near their dorm to think. To get away from whats to come. With recent events, he was torn on leaving and staying. But he knew that if he stayed, it came with a price he doesn't think he can live with if it happens. The possibility of his teammates, the ones he had grown close to and thought of as brothers were going to face a storm of haters all because of Hanbin's mistake.

"Make that two." A familiar voice spoke out as he handed a green card towards the cashier girl. "I am paying. You should just get the drinks hyung." A smile appear at the lips of the owner's voice.

Hanbin nodded his head and walked over to the pick up station. He was expecting to see the younger sooner or later. He had so much to ask the younger and if he was too leave, he hoped that he could leave with an easy heart. "How did you know I was here?"

"I didn't. I just came by to get some coffee. Junhoe kicked me out again because he was mad or something." Chanwoo laughter rang through the air as he thought about the said member. "I think we are going to be great friends someday." Chanwoo said admiringly as he guided Hanbin with drinks in his hands towards an empty seat at the corner of the store.

"Why is it that I keep bumping into you where ever I want to go?" Hanbin said kind of annoyed at the fact that Jung Chanwoo, a person that he grew fond of keeps appearing at the most randomest times. "Fate I guess." Chanwoo laughed as he sat down comfortably.

Both of them sat their quietly as they drank their coffees and Hanbin couldn't help but overhear a few girls whispering here and there pointing over at them and trying to be as discreet as they could be in a silent room. "I have a question though." Hanbin said softly as he looked at Chanwoo who was waiting for him to speak patiently. "What kind of question?"

"Aren't you uncomfortable being in the same area as me? I mean, you know what I did." Chanwoo thought about it and just smiled. "I don't mind it if you don't. I just know that during these times, you would need someone beside you and to show that you're not alone."

"So you're saying that you've gone through this before?" A chuckle was let out and the younger just shook his head. "No. I just think that when there are tough times like these. That's just what you would want." A few minutes after getting no response from Hanbin, Chanwoo continued "At least that's what I thought I would need. I know how lonely the world gets when everything and everyone starts to turn on you."

Hanbin scrunched up his face a bit. Chanwoo? The boy was having that kind of mindset, showed a lot that the younger was a mature as Hanbin was but was more reserved about it then Hanbin is. "But then again, I could just be guessing things wrong!" The maknae said jokingly as he waved his arms above the air.

"So you were just guessing this whole time?" Hanbin asked startled by the slight comment the younger made.

"Relax hyung. I don't think you would want to think about these stuff right now. The show is finally over, and the results might be announce soon. I want to enjoy my last few days of freedom as much as I can." Chanwoo leaned back on to the comfy chair and just played with the mouth of the cup.

"You sound confident in winning." Hanbin said amused. Everyone came back after a day at home, and decided that they should do a sleepover for a day and see the results together tonight. Another night of  8 and half fully grown man in the living room once again enjoying each others presence. "I am just happy I did my best."

"Well, considering how you were when you first entered. I am pretty sure you did the best performance I've seen so far from you." Hanbin couldn't help but ruffle the younger hair as he looked at the younger pulling out his phone to play his games.

"Aish- Chanwoo -ah. How about you leave that phone alone for a few minutes and go somewhere with me." Chanwoo raised an eyebrow at his hyung. As much as he loved playing with his phone he felt like maybe putting his phone down a few minutes won't hurt. Right?

WRONG!

Chanwoo had never felt so tired and exshausted in his entire life. His whole body was aching all over and nothing could beat the heat that was radiating around his body. "Hyung. Can we go home now?" The younger pleaded. His voice was hoarse and the amount of sweat dripping as he carried the last load of boxes into the back of the shop.

"Not, yet. We have an hour left before dinner. The guys said that they will meet us here anyways." Hanbin said amused seeing the boy panting from quietly mumbling like how he shouldn't trust Hanbin when he told the boy to put down his phone. He chuckled softly and patted the younger's head. He might not have been that happy seeing Chanwoo when they first met but he was glad to have met the younger.

Flashback~

Chanwoo was sitting down on the couch watching the tv on their day off. They just finished their 3rd performance and everyone was dead beat. He was sure he was going to faint anytime soon. Hanbin sat down and snatched the remote away from the younger which made the younger let out a small whine. "What?" Hanbin said threatingly as he looked at the younger who quickly sealed his lips tight.

"Hyung! We are going out to get some lunch, do you want to come with us?" Jinhyeong and Donghyuk asked as the rest of the members went to wear their shoes. Hanbin frowned and shook his head. "I can't. Hanbyul said she is coming over later. Next time." Jinhwan, Bobby and Junhoe perked up at the slight mention of the leader's younger sister. "Aw! I want to see my Byul. Can I stay as well?" Junhoe whined at Jinhwan disappointed that he might not be able to see the little girl.

"No. We need to get that thing that you wanted and we won't have time to go out and buy it."Jinhwan shook his head as he dragged the younger to the door. "Have fun Hanbin-ah! Chanwoo make sure you get better soon." The eldest's voice started to fade as he left dragging a giant second maknae with him. "Yea. Make sure you take your medicine." Bobby flashed his bunny like smile making the younger blush and at the worried hyungs.

"Okay." After a few minutes of the members saying goodbye and telling Chanwoo to eat his medicine or telling Hanbin to have fun, they finally left the two boys alone in the house.

It was probably already half an hour later, the Chanwoo pouted at he looked at Hanbin flipping through the Channels. "Hyung! Just choose one already." Much to Hanbin's disappointment, his grandmother called a few minutes back telling him that Hanbyul was sick and that she couldn't visit Hanbin today. So now he was stuck in the house with the sick maknae and nothing to eat. Why couldn't he be stuck with Yunhyeong instead?

"Fine!" Hanbin said satisfied with the Channel he flipped through. Chanwoo was surely facepalming himself trying hard not to die from embarassment."No! Anything but this hyung! Please don't."

You can say that Chanwoo had bad luck everytime he was with Hanbin. The channel that he HAD to watch was one of the episodes of 'The Heirs' where Chanwoo made a cameo in for his hyung. No matter how much his hyung said he did great, Chanwoo just couldn't look at himself on the TV screen. "HEOL! Look at that Chanwoo. It's the Heirs." Hanbin teased.

Exactly at the scene where Chanwoo was about to appear the younger tried to hide in his bed at his room but was pulled back to the couch by Hanbin who was smirking at the younger. "Oh, don't be like that. I want to see you act."

"H-hyung! You don't need me to be beside you! You can watch it if you want. I need to die in my room." Chanwoo said closing his eyes tightly. "No. I want you to sit next to me when you come--- LOOK! OH MY GOD! IT CHANWOO ON THE SCREEN! JUNG CHANWOOO!! I LOVE YOU!!" Hanbin teased the younger further.

Chanwoo seriously felt like dying with his red face and red ears. "HYUNG!" Chanwoo whined burying himself on hanbin's lap not wanting to face the older or the screen.

Suddenly there was knock on the door startling both males from their position. Chanwoo stared wide eyed at Hanbin more embarassed by the position that they were in now where he was staring face to face with hanbin their faces barely an inch away.

"OPPA!!"Hanbyul's voice rang through the door. Her voice brought Hanbin back to reality as he cleared his throat."U-u-uh... Coming!" Hanbin stuttered as he went to open the door for hanbyul.

"Oppa!" Hanbyul shouted as she climbed on his brother. She hasn't changed abit and Hanbin was glad to see her everytime she visits.

"Ouh! Chanwoo oppa!" Hanbyul shouted again after she spotted Chanwoo coming out of the kitchen with a glass of water. She quickly got down from her brother and went to hug chanwoo. "Oppa! You know that i am rooting for you right?"

Chanwoo looked at her flustered and reacted with a shy smile and squated down to be the same height as her. "Really? You shouldn't say that to anyone else no matter how much its true. The others will get jealous."  Hanbin scoffed and went over to the couch watching the two lovingly.

"On second thought, maybe you should. I would really like it if you could tell everyone that." Chanwoo said with an unknown smile forming on his lips. Hanbin didnt know that was the start to chanwoo revealing his true side to hanbin. His devilish side that is.

End of flashback~

"HYUNG!" Chanwoo cried out as he carried as stack of boxes. He was pretty sure this is going to be the last time he sees the younger helping carrying boxes at his grandmothers store.

"Hyung~~~~" the younger whined cutely at hanbin trying hard not to fall down. Just as he was about to step towards the older, his tripped on his foot and fell on hanbin.

As like all sappy dramas you all might see...

Chanwoo's lips were awkwardly on Hanbin's lips.
