“So they aren’t in right now? Really...” Minhyuk confirmed, standing over the plump womans desk. “Kyunghu-sshi now isn’t the time, can you call them in? Wait no don’t, I’m sure we can inform them tomorrow.” The man’s arms flailed as much as they could, folders in hand as he spoke to the older woman in front of her desk.

“So don’t call them in? When does training for them start? Tomorrow? Wouldn’t it be best if we just called them in now?” Kyunghu droned on slowly, looking up from where she was checking her freshly painted nails.

“No, no! Let them sleep, they’ll just start training the day they learn of the group. It’ll be okay.” Minhyuk shook his head, hair flopping around almost violently.

The woman just sighed, shifting as she started to actually put some papers from the drawer under her desk. Face contorting slightly before she let out a series of body shaking coughs. Minhyuk just stared a little awkwardly and then reached over the desk to pat her on the back.

“Yah, I’ve told you where they are. Go and hurry up with your jobs already!” Kyunghu shooed him off, shaking the hand away from her back and glaring at the younger weakly. Minhyuk just nodded, eyes wide and then quickly turned away towards the practising rooms.

The trainee building was more complex than the idol building, and yes while idols could freely choose where to train this was the building that most never went to and would rather stay away due to the reminders of their trainee days. His eyes scanned the door numbers, looking for a single practise room containing the handpicked leader. Minhyuk could hear the thumping of loud, deafing music nearby and let it guide him to a single practise room.

“Lucky 16... Is 16 lucky? Must be...” Minhyuk whispered to himself, stopping out the front of the practise room door. He took a deep breath in, and just waiting for a moment that he could knock where it’d be heard in a lapse of the music. And he nearly missed it, only barely able to raise up his fist and knock against the glass of the door a couple of times.

“Hello!” Minhyuk called, as a response to make sure his knocking was heard. “I have some news for you!” He called out again, listening out to see if he’d been heard. His prayers were answered when the music sharply cut-off, and the hand rattled for a slight second before revealing the face he’d been looking for.

“Yes?” A voice replied as he looked down to face the woman that exuded such a regal aura, Minhyuk couldn’t think of anyone else to take the position of leader when she had been a candidate.

“Ahh hello! You’re Kang Seoyul, lovely to formally meet you!” Minhyuk greeted while he bowed, hair bobbing with the motion. “I have some news for you.” He practically sung, grin unable to widen anymore than what it already was.

“I am... What are you here for?” Seoyul asked plainly, already seeming bored of the conversation and was ready to shut the door on him to go and continue practising.

“Oh, I forgot, I’m Hwang Minhyuk. Your new manager!” Minhyuk introduced himself, after a moments realisation that he’d forgotten whilst disregarding any of her ious words. “Congratulations princess, you’ve been appointed leader of the new upcoming girl group!”

At this point Minhyuk was practically shaking with excitement as he met the first of his princesses that he’d soon be taking care of. Though it all meant his words had been rushed, and barely understandable.

“New girl group?” Was all Seoyul could say, merely wanting to clear up what the excitable man had blurted out. “Selected as leader...” Her voice was almost disbeliving, if the proud note hadn't been so prominent.

“Well of course, no one is better for the job! It’ll all be explained in Sooman seongsang-nim’s office, so just follow me and let’s find the rest of the girls.” He ushered her out, making room for her to exit the practise room.

“Though I think I’m more of a queen than a princess.”
