Hoseok hates Halloween, and Yoongi knows it. It’s his least favorite holiday of all time, but Yoongi never makes anything easy for Hoseok. Hoseok arrives home after a late night working at one of their local retail centers. It’s dark in the house, so Hoseok assumes Yoongi must be asleep. Hoseok decides to leave the lights off while he goes back to their bedroom, but he’s screaming for Yoongi after walking into a spider web.

The living room light comes on, and a panicked Yoongi comes into view. With the light on, Hoseok can see the room, and he can see that Yoongi decorated for Halloween without Hoseok’s consent. Honestly, this spider web feels real, but that’s not surprising. Yoongi is really invested in this holiday, so he probably spent a lot of money on realistic cobwebs. “I’m sorry,” Yoongi apologizes as he helps to clean the spiderwebs off of his boyfriend, but the way he’s laughing tells Hoseok that he’s enjoying this more than he is sorry. “But I can assure you,” He says as he reaches above Hoseok. “I didn’t put this here.” He opens his hand to reveal a spider and Hoseok slaps it away with a scream. Yoongi almost falls to the floor with more laughter, and Hoseok narrows his eyes at him when he sees that it was even a plastic spider that Yoongi had in his hand.

“Why do I even like you?” Hoseok asks, the question mostly directed at himself. “You are such a .”

Yoongi wheezes a little as he tries to bring his laughter under control. “You like me because I protect you from the real spiders,” Yoongi reminds him. He sets the plastic spider on the mantle, and he steps toward Hoseok. “And you love me because of this.” Yoongi kisses Hoseok once on the lips—quick and sweet, but it’s all Hoseok needs to smile again.
