The Half Truth (3)

Celebrity

As soon as Sunggyu reached his room, he dropped his bag and fell flat on his bed. He had his arms all around it, for he was tired and weary. He just wanted to sleep. Who couldn't be tired after a two hour performance?

On the other hand, the members were halfway done in taking a shower. Sungyeol and Sungjong were already dressed in their pajamas, Hoya was in the middle of washing himself, Dongwoo was already leaning his head on the bathroom door and was half asleep and Myungsoo was already sleeping soundly without even brushing his teeth. And taking a shower.

Sunggyu decided to take a shower once everything was silent, so that there would be no distractions or nuisance on his way. He was tiredㅡof course he would consider anything that annoys him as a nuisance.

He closed his eyes and slowly drifted to sleep. He could hear the silent noises turn into murmurs and soon faded in his ears.

Meanwhile, Woohyun finally arrived the apartment, an hour after Sunggyu did. It took him a while to make himself go inside, and indeed, he needed a little alcohol to be able to push himself in.

As soon as he stepped inside the room, he felt the awkwardnessㅡor maybe eerie-ness of the room. Everything was silent, and the only light he could see was the faint yellowish light coming from the room at the corner. The door was half open, but there were no signs of movements.

Sunggyu. It was Sunggyu's room.

Since Woohyun didn't want to talk any further, he went to the couch and landed flatly on top of it. They were going to transfer to a new dorm soonㅡwhich he dropped a lot of thoughts about it. If they were going to move, there was a big chance of Sunggyu choosing to share another room with one of his groupmates, and worse, if that happens, he wouldn't be able to sort things out, because Sunggyu was the type to hide himself away from problemsㅡwhen it comes to Woohyun.

More thoughts came to his mind, causing his head to ache again. Woohyun massaged his temple and surrendered his head in the couch's pillows.

A door that slowly creaked open was heard. Due to the silence, Woohyun felt the cold shiver down his spine. And since the alcohol was finally knocking him out, he couldn't manage to stand up and see anymore. His vision started to blur as his body started to become numb because of the cold.

Woohyun felt his eyes slowly closing.

But then a figure appeared right in front of his eyes.

"What did you do again, Hyunnie?"

His voice was embraced with fatigue and concern.

"Did I make you do this?"

His voice was obviously hoarse from singing.

Woohyun couldn't hear anything after. The silence was deafening in his ears, and he couldn't move at all. Woohyun actually thought it was just a dreamㅡbut it turns out that he was still half awake, or half concious.

He felt a hand dig under his back, as it clasped unto him and his white silk longsleeved polo shirt. He felt the other hand support the back of his head, and later on, he knew he was being carried by his arms.

He heard the faint footsteps as his feet shuffled on the soft carpet.

The next thing Woohyun felt was something soft and comforting. Woohyun guessed he was already in his bed, but he was still clueless who was the one doing all this. His vision remained blurry and dark, and he still felt himself drifting into the darkness.

He felt something warm that landed on top of him. He could still hear the faint shuffling of feet on the carpet.

Woohyun felt fingers rubbing against his wrist. He was removing his wrist watch that felt heavy all this time.

Obtaining the chance to at least know who should he be grateful with, he managed to lock his left hand on the man's hands that were busy taking off his watch.

Woohyun tried to utter some words, his eyelids half closed due to the alcohol. He tried and triedㅡbut no words came out.

The man finally spokeㅡthe sound of hushing him down made him feel a little comfortable.

"Just sleep. And drink the tea tomorrow. Don't get drunk again. You worry me too much when you do." The man finally said, then he felt his watch go off his wrist, and the warmth he felt from his fingers, soon again was enclosed with the cold air.

Woohyun tried to see before he leftㅡbut all he saw was a tall and thin blurry figure disappearing through the door.

--

Sunggyu was right beside Woohyun. He was fidgeting with his fingers, while Woohyun was sitting beside him, swaying from left to right, humming a tune of their song.

It's been a while since they've gone out. It's been a while since Woohyun was all sugar and spice.

Sunggyu thought he might be losing the chance, so he took the moment to not waste time.

"Woohyun.." Sunggyu muttered.

"What? Hyunggg~ Whaaaaat? I can't hear youuu~"

"Stop acting cute! It's annoying."

"You're cuter when you're mad."

"Stop it!"

Sunggyu was losing his cool, due to Woohyun's cutenessㅡor not. He took a deep breath and looked at Woohyun, who was watching the rain drizzle outside the window.

"It's been a while."

Woohyun caught Sunggyu's tone, so he quickly faced him. "Been a while?"

"Yeah."

Woohyun puffed his cheeks cutely while furrowing his eyebrows. "What do you mean?"

Sunggyu sighed at his answer. He couldn't help but try to contain the frustrations inside him.

"It's been a while since I haven't answered you."

Woohyun let out a soft chuckle, his gaze transferring to the other side. He remembered that moment. He still remembered it. How much he wanted to pull away, how much he wanted to hide, but stood still in front of Sunggyu, while the snow was falling on them. He smiled sincerely, but it looked somehow different, which somehow made Sunggyu anxious.

"Woohyun."

"What?"

"You never take things seriously from me."

"You're funny hyung. You know I'm always like that."

"I know."

"You're so cute Gyujiji hyungggggggg"

"Please take this seriously. Just this once."

"You know I won't, right? Kekekekekeke"

"I like you."

As soon as Woohyun opened his eyes, he felt his brain contracting, his body stiff and sore, due to the concert last night. He looked at his clock, and realized it was already morning. The memory was shortㅡor maybe the dream was shortㅡbut it seems like it took him a night to recall it. Setting the thoughts aside, Woohyun did his best to sit down and take a hold of himself.

He remembers some significant parts of it, and ends up being in a hangover. The dream started to disturb his hellish sickening brain.

"Ughhhhhhh.." Woohyun groaned. Everything felt so heavy.

He stood up and wore his bedroom slippers, he slid his feet on the floor as he walked towards his bedroom door. But the moment he placed his hand on the door knob, he accidentally eavesdropped on the conversation beyond.

"I thought you two were fighting." Woohyun heard Myungsoo's voice.

"I'll make things up with him."

"Why?"

"Because I feel bad."

Woohyun couldn't identify the other voice, since it was coming somewhat far from his room. He was tempted to go out and know what was wrong, but his feet remained intact on the ground.

"I don't get you, you know. You're so complicated. Can you pleaㅡ"

Woohyun heard the door shut. He didn't even know what to feel. Was he supposed to be worried? Or maybe surprised? He didn't know what to feel.

He pulled down the door knob and was quite nervous on what he would see. His eyes shifted to every direction, until he recieved the feeling of contentment.

He saw Myungsoo, standing by the kitchen counter, holding a tea cup. Located on the other side of the room, was Sungjong with a shocked face and frustrated face.

"Seems like a love triangle." Woohyun thought, assuming it was Sungyeol whom he had heard earlier. It was definitely Sungyeol. Those words stained his mind.

"I'm off to work, kiddos." Woohyun teased, seeing the so called "love triangle" childish. He grabbed his towel and took a bath right after.

Woohyun finished bathing, and hurriedly dressed up. He was already late for his vocal training sessions, and since his permanent vocal trainer was at leave for a couple of months, his current trainer wasn't very friendly at all. If only he could ask Sunggyu to scold him..

Sunggyu, Sunggyu, Sunggyu. That named echoed in his mind.

Woohyun brushed off the thoughts, not wanting to be interupted. He grabbed his things and headed out their dorm. He went down and rode the van with Sungyeol and Sungjong.

Speaking of dorm, he started to worry about Sunggyu. He really didn't want to separate rooms with Sunggyu. Ever.

Woohyun hit his head with his fist, annoyed with the things going around his mind. Why does he keep thinking about Sunggyu? Why is he so worried about him?

For the third time, he hit his head. He wanted to forget that name, even at least for today.

Sunggyu, Sunggyu, Sunggyu.

That name repeated in his mind.

"Hyung, whatㅡisㅡwrongㅡwithㅡyou?" Sungjong asked in an annoyed manner. "Stop hitting yourself!"

"Why are you so concerned anyways?" Woohyun asked, quite curious. It was rare for Sungjong  to worry about him. Worry like worry about him with a super valid reason.

"Because you look stupid! Now stop it!"

Woohyun's eyes glared at the youngest's. He hated it when he was throwing tantrums at him. Or when he was being sassy.

"Stop it." Myungsoo hissed the two. He too was annoyed as hell.

Meanwhile, Woohyun felt the pain in his head worsen. Why didn't he take pills anyways?

"Woaaah~ I thought you were fighting?"

"What?" Myungsoo and Sungjong said in unison.

"You think I don't know? I heard you this moㅡ"

"Shut up little fellas, we're here and you're late. Save those for later." The manager said as he looked at them with a teasing face. "Have fun, I guess."

The three of them went down the van and hurriedly went to their vocal training sessions.

After a few hours, the three of them met again at a nearby coffee shop. Sungjong was lookimg exhausted, while Myungsoo was all covered in black. Woohyun on the other hand, had no make up and only had his fake glasses as his disguise. Somehow, they managed to hide themselves from the people surrounding them.

"So tell me about it." Woohyun said as he placed his frappe on their table and sat down beside Myungsoo.

"Tell you about what, hyung?" Sungjong asked sassily.

"How you got along with each other so quickly. You were fighting this morning, now it seems like it never happened." Woohyun took a sip from his frappe.

"What did "happen" hyung?" Sungjong stressed on him, his teeth grinding on each other bit by bit.

"Hyung, you know, you're so stupid sometimes." Myungsoo continued.

"What do you mean?"

"We weren't fighting."

Woohyun remained silent for a few seconds before he realized what Myungsoo told him. "You weren't?"

"Yeah, we weren't. Idiot."

"Weren't you fighting over Sungyeol?"

"Are you stupid?"

Woohyun looked at Myungsoo, his words somehow taken him back. Myungsoo was wise, indeed. His wiseness actually is sometimes scary. Especially when he's trying to make you realize something that's been so obvious.

"Then tell me what happened."

Sungjong couldn't help but sigh. Myungsoo couldn't help but bury his face with his hands. Woohyun couldn't help but be ashamed.

"Hyung. We were talking to Sunggyu hyung. Idiot."

By the time he heard that name again, his body became stiff, and he started to lose his focus. Was Sunggyu really that important to the point by just hearing his name, he goes numb and possibly dumb?

"He still cares, you . He cares for you. A LOT." Sungjong added.

Woohyun had a sudden flashback of what happened last night. It must be Sunggyu. It must be Sunggyu who took him to bed, who called him 'Hyunnie', the one who was worried about him when he's drunk.

The one who always cared for him no matter what.

Woohyun remembers him saying to drink the tea when he wakes up. Unfortunately, he didn't remember anything by the time he woke up, and he didn't let Myungsoo or Sungjong speak when he thought they were fighting overt Sungyeol.

"He was making tea for you, and told us to make sure you drink it." Myungsoo continued, stirring his green tea frappe.

"He said he felt sorry, no matter what he did to you. He said he wanted to apologize and make things up with you because he didn't want you being that way. Or the group that might lead that way."

Woohyun flashbacks to a scene earlier while he was in his sessions. He saw Sunggyu looking at him blankly, but Woohyun was so frustrated, so he went to Sunggyu and pulled him to a corner.

He told Sunggyu to stop looking at him, to stop messing up his life, to stop caring for him, because he was being a nusiance to his life. Because he was a big disturbance to his life.

He only wanted to get him off his mind. But it seems like he only made it worst.

"You're really stupid." Sungjong repeated.

"Stop it, I know I'm stupid, okay? I'll make things up with him as soon as Iㅡ"

"Stupid."

"Would you stop saying that? I know what I'm doingㅡ"

"I know everything. You think I wouldn't know?" Myungsoo interrupted, easing the tension between Sungjong and Woohyun.

"I know what you said."

Woohyun only kept quiet. They were right, he was stupid. He was wrong. He was always wrong.

On the other hand, Sungjong was quiet too. Because he really didn't know what Myungsoo was talking about.

The atmosphere was cold and quiet. Only the noises of the coffee shop and the faint chatter of customers were heard.

"Idiot."

---

"Sunggyu hyung! Woohyun hyung! Time to go!" Sungjong called out to the two older friends.

"Coming!" Woohyun answered, grabbing his coat. He ignored Sunggyu's words, leaving him dazzled.

Sunggyu watched Woohyun as he left him alone in their room. He was confusedㅡso confused. He couldn't understand why Woohyun just left him alone without answering him.

"What does he really want?" Sunggyu thought.
