Jaebum smiled lightly before replying. Jinyoung was such a child at times.

Uhh.. Kinda? I think I might have spent a little too much though. Dad is gonna kill me :( And guess who is it? It was the one I told you about ! The blonde cat hybrid :-)) His name is Youngjae :-))

Jaebum scrunched up his face, putting his phone away again. Now, where were them? Jaebum slumped back on his chair. What kind of service was this? Jaebum snorted, a grin dancing on his lips. It didn't really matter anyway. He was going to see Youngjae. "Mr Im?" A sudden voice broke the silence as Jaebum heard the turn of the door knob. Jaebum whipped his head around, only to see an unfamiliar man poking his head in, hand clutching a stack of papers and in the other, a leash. Jaebum nodded his head as the man opened the door wider and walked in, the leash following as well. As the man took a seat in front of Jaebum, that was when Choi Youngjae walked in, head lowered and tail beneath his legs. Jaebum's breath hitched in his throat. Youngjae was here. "Youngjae, hurry up and seat down. We need to go through the paperwork." The man, obviously annoyed, yanked on the collar as he started arranging the papers. Youngjae shuffled closer, eyes gazing wildly around the room.

 

Jaebum took out the seat next to him, gesticulating to Youngjae to seat as he gave Youngjae a meek smile. Youngjae however, did not even cast a glance at him and just plopped down on the seat, unwillingly. Jaebum had to bite his lips to keep himself from smiling like an idiot. To say Youngjae was good looking was an understatement. In Jaebum's opinion, Youngjae looked like an angel to him. With his ruffled blonde hair and porcelain skin, he might have been one. Not wanting to give a bad impression of himself, Jaebum quickly turned back to the man.

 

"Mr Im, this will only take a while. We'll just have to go through this simple procedures and rules to guarantee ..."

Man, was Jaebum glad they had finally finished the paperwork. A short while? More like two full hours. How was Jinyoung even able to leave this hell of a place within an hour? Jaebum rolled his eyes, running his fingers through his fringe. Youngjae was sitting down quietly beside him, fidgeting with the leash attached to the collar. They were supposedly waiting for Jaebum's ride to arrive since his father had left earlier. Frowning, Jaebum took a seat next to  Youngjae, who cautiously looked up and spared a quick glance at Jaebum before his head turned away again. "Youngjae? Are you hungry? I have some sweets with me now. It might not do the trick, but its better than nothing." Jaebum grinned at Youngjae, trying to strike up conversation while reaching into his pocket for his mints. Youngjae pondered over the offer for a moment before sheepishly nodding his head, lifting his head again to meet Jaebum in the eye. Jaebum froze on the spot. It was as if Youngjae's eyes were holding him captive, twinkling at him under the lights. Jaebum awkwardly cleared his throat as he fished out the mints, taking two out before giving one to Youngjae. "Try this, its my favourite." He watched on as Youngjae timidly accepted the mint and popped it into his mouth, savoring its taste. Jaebum couldn't stop himself from chuckling when Youngjae grimaced, his tail curling around him. He sure was cute.

The ride home was terribly long. Jaebum had no clue how to start another conversation with Youngjae. It was so silent, that except from the occasional cursing from the driver, Jaebum could almost hear Youngjae's heartbeat. Youngjae had not dared to speak up, fearing what Jaebum might do. Youngjae had no idea how Jaebum was like. Whether he was actually someone who had a bipolar personality or not, Youngjae did not want to find out. After all, they had just met, and Youngjae did not want to make his own life a living hell if he had accidentally in any way, crossed the line. Youngjae shuddered. Who knew what Jaebum might do if he got angry? Until now, Jaebum seemed more or less a friendly person. 

 

Pouting, Youngjae let his attention drift to the window as he reached to touch the uncomfortable collar on his neck. Was he even allowed to take this damn thing off? Pulling his knees up and hugging them tightly together, Youngjae got lost in his train of thoughts. 

 

What kind of person is he even like? I don't even know his name yet. Youngjae grunted. This was going to be his life now. Being a slave for someone completely unfamiliar to him. How was this going to turn out? 

 

 

Youngjae couldn't help but gawk at Jaebum's house. It was massive. Was it even a house? Jaebum smiled at Youngjae's reaction, before gesturing for Youngjae to enter. Excitedly, Youngjae skipped into the house only to be awestruck once more. It was just so pretty. There was even a spiral staircase! Youngjae giggled, totally forgetting that he was just Jaebum's supposed slave now, turning around to exclaim in joy: "Oh my gosh, your house is really pretty!", before clamping a mouth over his mouth. . I wasn't supposed to do that. Youngjae gulped as his eyes widened, still shocked by what he had said. Jaebum only shook his head, his lips curved upwards, as he assured Youngjae that it was alright. "Its okay, make yourself at home." Jaebum grinned as he grabbed Youngjae's hand, pulling him towards the stairs. Youngjae could only let himself by brought around by Jaebum. Try not to slip things up again, Youngjae bit his lip. Just try not to risk anything and get in trouble. Just keep quiet.

 

As Jaebum lead him through a tour of his house, Youngjae couldn't help but wonder how rich his family was. Probably more than what my life is valued for. Youngjae wrinkled his nose. "And here is our room." Jaebum pushed open one of the doors to reveal his room. Youngjae had to pinch himself to make sure he was not dreaming. It was huge, almost the same size as his kitchen back at home, with a king size bed and a tv placed a few feet away from the foot of the bed. It was just like a hotel room. Youngjae couldn't help but gasp in wonder.

 

Jaebum laughed slightly at Youngjae's face. Youngjae really looked cute now, his eyes widening so big and his mouth opened in shock. "Wait what, our room?" Youngjae snapped out of his thoughts and frowned, his eyes full of confusion. Jaebum nodded, putting a hand on Youngjae's shoulder and guiding him in. Youngjae immediately moved away from Jaebum's warm arm. Youngjae was still not comfortable being around him, Jaebum could tell. "Uh.. Where will I be sleeping?" Youngjae enquired, his eyes sweeping the room. There didn't seem to be any other single bed other than Jaebum's bed. Jaebum sighed and scratched the nape of his neck nervously. "Sorry, I wasn't actually planning to take any hybrid under my wing as of today, and didn't prepare before hand. Besides, its actually standard procedure for hybrids to be leashed at their owner's bedside at all times. " Seeing how Youngjae stepped back in shock. Jaebum waved his hands frantically. "Wait, Youngjae. Look, I'm really sorry about that. If you don't want to sleep on the floor, I could grab some pillows and blankets for you. A fort maybe? I currently don't have any extra mattresses..."

Jaebum laughed , clutching his sides in laughter. Youngjae had bundled himself up in the fort of blankets and pillows on the floor, rolling around in them. Jaebum was sure he looked like a piece of sushi. "Hyung, help me .." Youngjae's muffled voice rang out under the many layers of blankets. "You can call me Jaebum hyung." Jaebum smiled warmly as he lifted one of the blankets up. He felt his heart warm as a blonde head and two fluffy ears popped out from under the blanket. It looks like Youngjae really loves forts. Jaebum thought as he watched Youngjae try to attack a nearby pillow on the floor but failed. "Youngjae ah, I need to do some errands. Could you stay here and wait for me? I'll let you off the collar too, as long as you stay in here." Jaebum stood up and brushed himself off. Youngjae nodded, tail swishing widly behind him. Grinning as he watched Jaebum leave, Youngjae tried to stop himself from smiling, but to no avail.
