Chapter 10
For The Better Or Worse?[CONTENTID1] Chapter 10[/CONTENTID1]
[CONTENTID2]Xiumin's pov:
This is it. Its my first day being back to school since friday. Sehun, D.O, and I went to a hair salon that weekend and changed our color of hair. I also got a different style of hair, which suited me great. I really loved my new look but I am nerves. I will see Luhan today since friday in the morning, and it is seriously freaking me out. I started to pace around in my room thinking of excuses to not go to school but in the end I ended up putting some of the new cloths that Sehun and I chose and walk out his bedroom door. I was wearing my favorite outfit that was a black shirt with white ripped jeans, showing off a lot of my skin. With my new color of red hair it fit perfectly.
I step down the stairs slowly trying to not make a sound to wake up my parents, but failed that mission when I tripped over my own feet. “Ow!” I said falling from the stairs and grab my head, closing my eyes from all the impact that I got from hitting my head.”That sure didn’t hurt..” I said sarcastically finally getting up from the floor and standing up. “You sure about that?” Mom said causing me to be startled. “Ahh! Don't scare me like that!” I said jumping a few feet up in the air and putting my hand up to my heart when my feet made contact again with the floor.
“Sorry honey, but it sure didn’t look like it. Hahaha, well come eat breakfast. We don't want you to go to school with an empty stomach.” Mom smiled before turning towards the kitchen and opened the doors that led to the table we ate at. The table was big enough for twenty people but we never had a lot of them unless my parents were throwing a dinner party. I walked a few seconds later and stopped at the front of the open doors.“We?” I said confused. “I thought that dad wasn’t going to be home for another week.” I said croking an eyesbrow and folding my arms.
“Well.. I forgot to tell you that he was coming home early.” Mom said biting her lip. Oh I see, She must of had been doing a lot of things to forget to tell me that dad was home. “Then where is he?” I said facing her. “Behind you,” A deep voice said. Dad? Dad! I slowly turn myself around and stayed still. He smiled and opened his arms. “Dad!” I yelled before running up to him and hugging him. “Whoa!” he said when I almost jumped on top of him. Making him lose his balance and stumble back. “Sorry.” I said letting go of him and smile-an apologetic smile. “It’s fine. I know how much you missed me because I missed you too. Even more than you think.” I laugh and smile one more time before I took a seat. “So, ummm, what happened to you?” He said looking at me with a frown on his face.
I tilted my head in confusion. ‘What is he talking about?’ I glance down at myself and then notice it. My new look. He hasn't seen me in four days and I bet he has no idea of what is going on. I look at my mom's way for help but she wasn’t giving me any. She was just staring at dad. ‘Oh, will someone help me? Guess not.’ I thought and down a little.
“Well you see, it's just that I got a makeover from my friends. I really like it.” I said the last part as fast as I could in one breath. “You what?” dad said looking at me angrily. “You know that you didn't have to change how you looked. You are fine the way you are-” Dad said looking at me straight in the eyes. I lower myself in my seat and look down. “I know but I wanted to change how I looked.” I said loud enough so that he could hear me. He signed out and look down at the table. “Okay if that's what you wanted. Just next time something this important happens please tell me before hand.” He said and then looked at mom. “Honey, how come you didn't tell me anything?” Dad said looking her way and raising an eyebrow. “Uh, well you see, it’s just that-” She fiddle with her fingers but got interrupted when the maids brought in the food. “Today you will have an omelet with orange juice and cut fruit for breakfast.” the chef said before bowing and leaving the room.
I pick up my fork and knife ready to cut my omelette but go stopped by something, my dad’s voice. “Hurry up boy unless you want to be late for school.” dad said and I looked at the clock on my cellphone. 6:40 a.m. Oh man I forgot that it was this late. I nod before cutting all of my omelette into little pieces and then stuffing as much as I could into my mouth. I finish chewing my omelet and took a big gulp of orange juice before dashing towards the stairs. Skipping two steps at a time I open my bedroom door and got my backpack. I came running down the stairs and came back the the dining room. “Bye!” I said before running up to them and kissing them both on the cheek. “Bye.” they said back and then I went outside to meet my personal driver. “Good morning.”I said waiting for him to open my door. “Good morning sir.” he smiled at me and I smiled back before getting in the car.
He close the door and walk up to the driver's door, opening it. He put the key in the keyhole and started the car. Two minutes later he pulled out of the driveway, passing the fountain of the mermaid, and drove off. We pass many buildings and shops until I saw my school come to view. ‘What time is it?’ I thought before looking at the car clock and instantly popping my eyes out. I’m late. When Jinjay (the drivers name) stopped at the parking lot I got out not even waiting for him to open the door. I grab my backpack before sprinting to the front door of the school. I waved at Jinjay before I entered school and stepped into the warm building.
