author’s note: minho injuring himself got me thinking about some scenarios so i wrote this and the next drabble on a whim. please excuse the somewhat half-assed job because i probably took about an hour to write these on my phone. still, i hope you’ll have fun reading them! enjoy! ^^

The pain that Minho feels when his foot lands at an awkward angle is nothing compared to the pain of Kibum ignoring him for days. Because that’s exactly what’s going to happen once Kibum finds out he has injured himself again. Minho already knows he is going to get it worse this time because it’s just supposed to be a fun basketball match for charity so did he really have to give it his all?! Well, Minho knows the answer now. In fact, he hears it in Kibum’s voice. His boyfriend is most definitely going to give him an earful, that is, if he was ever going to talk to him.

It’s been days since Minho injured his ankle and he hasn’t heard from Kibum since. Both his calls and messages go unanswered. Yet, Minho knows he doesn’t have the right to be angry or sad. After all, it’s his fault for injuring himself unnecessarily. By the third day, Minho gives up trying and decides to wait for Kibum to contact him. His patience is tested though because the fifth day arrives and ends with Minho concluding that Kibum is unquestionably making sure he learns his lesson this time round.

On the night before Jinki and Kibum are scheduled to leave for Osaka, Minho finally gets the call he has been waiting for.

“Kibummie!”

“You’re still not forgiven.”

“I know, I’m sorry-”

“Manager hyung told me it isn’t that serious?”

“Nope, I’m fine, I just need to-”

“Good. I’m bringing the kids over.”

“What?”

“Take care of them until I’m back.”

In what feels like seconds, the long-awaited call ends and Minho is left sulking, realizing his boyfriend was only looking for a dog sitter.

It’s only later, when Kibum comes back to the dorm with Comme Des and Garçons but doesn’t leave because he’s staying the night (only to make things convenient for their manager the next day), that Minho stops complaining in his mind and begins his operation to act pitiful with the aim of getting his boyfriend to show him some love.

Lucky for Minho, Comme Des and Garçons is on his side. They help him by pouncing on his legs, accurately putting their paws on his injured ankle and excitedly circling his feet. It doesn’t hurt but Minho intentionally winces just to gain Kibum’s attention.

It works.

There’s a frown on Kibum’s face but he still maintains a distance from Minho. However, the moment Garçons tugs at Minho’s ankle guard, Kibum rushes forward and picks his black toy poodle up.

“No, Garçons,” Kibum carries his dog and turns his back to Minho as he mutters, “That’ll hurt daddy.”

Yes, Minho thinks as he smiles to himself, this is exactly why he has always loved Garçons a little bit more.
