Chapter 27

The Gun Man

Sunny's POV

On my way home, I was walking to the parking lot of the corporation when I heard a holler of a man.

"WHY DO YOU WORK SO SLOW??? I DIDN'T RAISE YOU UP TO BE STUPID SOO. GET THE JOB DONE AND FIX THE MESS YOU MADE PRONTO!" The man yelled

I looked at where the voice is coming out.

It was Mr. Will and Sooyoung

"U-Uncle, I’m doing m-my best..." Sooyoung said weakly and nervously

"WELL, IT’S NOT ENOUGH!" he yelled

"Please, g-give me some more t-time... D-Do not hurt her." she pleaded

"URGH, SOO... WHY ARE YOU SO STUPID?!?" he raised his cane and hit Sooyoung.

I rush towards them to stop him.

"Yah! Stop that or you'll see yourself in prison in no time." I threatened him

"Oh, the fraud CEO is here." Mr. Will said with a grin

"If there someone fraud here,  it's not me,  it's you. What are you doing to her?" I said as I held Sooyoung's hands and pull her closer to me.

"Oh, the usual. Disciplines my child so that she won't be like someone who doesn't have manners to take someone's company." he said with a wicked grin

"You mean yourself?" I scoffed

"Well, for an orphan like you. You seriously do not have respect for the elders." he said

"How dare you call me that? You are not allowed to be here, get out of here before I call the security to force you out!" I said

"Fine, but this will not be the last time you'll see me. Let's go Soo." he said as he took Sooyoung's hand

Sooyoung was about to come with him when I pulled her towards me again.

"You wish, she’s not coming with you. After all I saw a while ago, you think I will let her come with you?"

"Urgh, fine! This hard headed kids." he left

"Let's go" I said to Sooyoung as I pulled her towards the car.

Sooyoung remained silent. I know she was hurt by Mr. Will a while ago. But she doesn't show any kind of pain. It looks like she's used to it already.

"Are you okay?" I asked her as I drive

She nodded

"Just stay on my house for tonight. Your uncle might come back to you when you stay in yours." I said concernly.

I want her to be safe.

She didn't say anything. She looked like she's in deep thoughts.

When we arrived on my house, I get the first aid kit and get some spare PJs. We were in the bedroom.

"Sooyoung , change into this. Quick." I told her

A minute later she was still hesitating to change.

"What's the matter?" I said to her

"Y-You're still there..." she said shyly

"So what?" I said

"I'm going to change b-but you're still there..." she said

"Don't be such a baby; it’s not that I'm going to do anything to you when you change." I said

"O-Okay but close your e-eyes please." she said

She turned her back to me. I didn't close my eyes.

She removed her long sleeves blouse; I saw something I had seen before. Her body that's full of scars and bruises. No wonder she wear those long sleeves. She was about to wear the PJs shirt but I stopped her.

"Wait.” I told her as I went closer to her

"W-What, y-you didn't close y-your eyes? You said y-you won't do anything t-to me when I-I change!" she nervously said

"Sit there in the bed." I ordered

"W-What?!?" she gulped

OMG, What the heck is she thinking???

"Stupid, I’ll treat your bruises." I said to her

"I-I'm okay." she said

"You are not clearly okay. Those bruises and scars show it all." I made a point

I sited in the bed and pulled her to sit there too. I aid her bruises.

"How long does Mr. Will doing this to you?" I asked

"..."

"Why are you letting him hurt you like this?" I asked again

"..."

"Mr. Will is not a good person, you should stay away from him!" I said

"..."

"Youngie... Stay here, with me. No one will hurt you again." I said as I finished aiding her

 She didn't say anything but wear the PJs shirt instead and lay down on the bed turning her back on me.

"Youngie... Please." I said to her

"..."

I decided to lie down on the bed too since she won't answer me anyway. I turned my back on her too.

"Sunny, please... Step down as the CEO of the company..."she said still turning her back on me

"You know that's the last thing I will do." I answered

"Well then, I’ll remain as your enemy..." she said

"Why Youngie..." I asked weakly

She didn't reply.

That night, we had a cold war. We fight peacefully. We cared for each other but both of us doesn't want to keep our guards down.

When I woke up the next day, she’s not there anymore.

The next day, I went to the office. I saw Sooyoung on the elevator with her secretary Taeyeon.

She didn't greet me but Taeyeon did.

"Helllo Miss Lee." she said

I nodded and smiled as a response

I sent Sooyoung piles of documents again so that she'll say something to me but she didn't said anything and just did the papers.

On the elevator, I told her to go out. She didn't say anything and went out.

I'd rather want to hear her complaining than not saying anything.
