Underlying motive

Sooyoung's POV

I saw my uncle on my door step. What is he doing here?

"What are you doing here?" I said coldly to him

I still can't believe he fooled me. He, the only person I trust and love.

"Oh my child, is that a proper way to greet your uncle?" he said with a grin

"Please leave." I said to him as I opened my door.

I was about to close it but his cane prevent the door in closing.

"Soo my child, why are you so unfriendly towards me? Anyway, why don't you visit the Casino site so you can have a glimpsed on how great it will look like when it's done. Damn, I must underestimate Kam Woo's ability. He's great! You should date him again. He's a genius!" he said as he laughed

He entered my house and makes himself at home.

"Date him again? Isn't it you that set him up with another girl that's why we broke up?" I said to him as I scoffed.

Gosh, he’s unbelievable!

"Well, we should not dwell in the past my child. Anyway, you’ll be helping me in managing the casino when it's done." he said

"Oh please, leave me alone. You want a casino, I gave it to you but do not expect me to be involved in that again." I said

"Why Soo, you’re disobeying my orders again? You know what I am able to do to you child." he said as he looked at me.

He's threatening me.

"What, you’ll hurt me again? Fine. There's nothing new about that anyway." I said

"Hmmm... There's something wrong with you." he said as he looked at me from head to toe

"Please get out of here before I kill you." I warned him in a flat cold tone.

He laughed hysterically.

"I know you're capable of doing that my child. You already proved to me that when you killed that..." he was still talking but I cut him off

"Shut up and get the hell out of here." I told to him.

"Easy child, show some respect to this poor elder... I mean rich!" he laughed madly

"RESPECT? YOU'RE ASKING ME FOR SOME RESPECT?!? YOU DECEIVED ME, YOU LIED TO ME, YOU FOOLED ME!!! SUNNY'S ALIVE AND YOU TOLD ME SHE WAS DEAD! YOU KNOW HOW MISERABLE I WAS AND I ALMOST GO CRAZY WHEN YOU TOLD ME SHE WAS DEAD. HOW COULD YOU MANIPULATE MY LIFE LIKE THIS?!?" I burst out

"Alright,  Sunny's alive. So what?" he said

"SO WHAT?!? ARE YOU CRAZY???" I yelled at him.

"She'll never forgive you child. That doesn't erased the fact that you abandoned her..." he said

"..."

"Be careful with her child... She might deceive you." he said as he pats my head

"..."

"Well, I have to go now. Just call me when you need anything my child." he said and he left the house.

Maybe he's right, that doesn't erase the fact I abandoned her.

Sunny's POV

I've been thinking about what my team had told me. Get closer with the Choi to get the contract... But how can I do it if I hate her badly? As usual, I'm in the 9nth floor. While sitting on my chair I saw Sooyoung walked in towards us.

She never really go on the 9nth floor before but when she knew I am Sunny... She's been going in here every day and keep asking Jinri to revise a lot of documents.

"Sun, it’s your chance. Quick! So that she will stop bugging my poor Jinri." Krystal whispered to me

I overheard Jinri speak...

"It's almost done Miss Choi." Jinri said

"Okay, I’ll get it to you later." Sooyoung said

She looked at me for a while but I keep my head low. She went inside the elevator. I ran towards the elevator before it closed and went inside on it.

She's staring at me. The atmosphere is very awkward.

"W-Why are you here? This is executive’s elevator." she said

"Why you don't want me here?" I asked her

"I-I do..." she said shyly

"..."

"W-What floor?" she asked me while looking at elevator buttons.

"35th." I said

"Huh?" she asked

"Let's talk in a civil manner." I told her

"O-Okay." she said.

We arrived at 35th floor. I saw Seohyun on the lobby,  she gave me two thumbs up. I rolled my eyes on her. We entered her office. I sited on the chair in front of her table but she remained standing. I looked at her, she's really nervous.

No one speak a word for a minute. Everything is so awkward but I decided to break the silence.

"So, what now?" I asked

"I-I thought you wanted to talk?" she said nervously

"Well, Alright. I have a proposition to make." I said

 She just stared at me.

For the sake of the contract, I'll do this...

"Let's be friends..." I said to her

"..."

After a minute of silence,  I stand up and snapped my fingers in front of her face.

"Yah, You still there?" I asked

"Yes... Yes. Of course but why?" she asked

"Don't you want to?" I asked

"I-I do." she said as she looked down

"Okay, come to my house at 8pm. Let's watch some movies together and catch up and this time don't leave. Got it?" I said to her

She nodded obediently

"Oh, don’t forget to bring some food. Okay?" I said to her as I left her office.

Alright, got to be closer to Choi to get what I need.

I ignored her throughout the rest of the day at the office since I don't want to be fed up with her later. She'll be going to my house later anyway.

When office hours was done,  I met up with my team to report about the progress.

"How's it?" Tiffany said excitedly

"Oh, Hwang. If you only see what I saw a while ago. Miss Lee is doing really great!" Seohyun said as she put her arms on Tiffany's shoulders.

"All because of my genius idea." Tiffany said proudly

"Gosh, so full of herself!" Seohyun said as she pinched Tiffany's cheeks

"Yah, stop it!" Tiffany said as she tried to pry Seohyun's hands

"Hey, it was my idea!" Jessica said

"Shut up Yuri face." Krystal said as she glared on her sister

"Jinri, please save me." Jessica hid on Jinri's back

"Don't touch her!" Krystal said as she took away Jinri from her sister

"Sorry Jessie, she’s quite possessive." Jinri said as she scratched her head
