The Effect of the Past

Sooyoung's POV

I opened my eyes, I was in a small house, the house was made of wood and there was only a wooden table inside of it, the house was barely lighted. The only source of light I can see is the lamp on the table.

I get the lamp and went out of the house. When I open the door, outside too is dark. I used my lamp to see clearly. The house is on the middle of a dark forest.

I felt scared and afraid... It's too dark.

My legs were shaking in every step I take.

As I distanced myself away from the house, my heart beats faster. I wanted to go back in the house but if I go back, I wouldn't know the way out of this forest.

I saw a lake, as the wind blows on my face I felt my whole body shivered.

I went closer to the lake. I saw a shining stone on the ground. I decided to throw it out on the lake.

The moment I throw it out on the lake, the light on my lamp was been blown by the wind.

As the darkness took over, I heard footsteps.

It was getting closer and closer to me.

I was shaking in fear and I can’t even breathe.

I felt someone beside me...

I tried to extend my hand to feel...

I touched a long object, It has curve on top.

 It was a cane.

"U-Uncle?" I speak in fear

The darkness blinds me; I can only hear my breathing pattern going unsteady.

"You cannot get out of here... It's not safe anywhere. Come back to the house where you came from." he whispered in my ear.

"I-I'm afraid..." I said

Then I heard another footstep

I was going to hold my uncle hands but he's not there anymore.

I trembled in fear as the sounds grew louder.

I know that someone's beside me.

"W-Who a-are y-you?" I asked nervously

I extend my hand to feel.

I felt his hands. He was holding something.

I touched it, it was a gun.

"Remember me?" he whispered in my ear

"..."

That voice I remember it...

"Y-You..." I said in fear

He laughed madly.

"I've been waiting for you here for such a long time kid..."

"G-Go away... Please..." I pleaded as I cried

"You're a bad kid, using guns in such an early age? I'll teach you something you don't know..." he said

I felt his breath on my neck... I cannot move. I tried but I can't.

He buried his head on my neck... I felt coldness on it.

"STOP!!!" I shouted

I opened my eyes and I saw a cat my face and my neck. Damn it!

It was just a dream.

I accidentally pushed the cat forcefully in the process.

I sit up and I tried to catch my breath. I realized I slept in a sofa.

"WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?" someone shouted at me

It was Sunny...or Miss Hee... I don't know

She holds the white cat dearly.

"Are you okay baby?" she asked the cat

I looked at the clothes I'm wearing... It was clean yellow PJs.

"I took the liberty to change your clothes... I think you rolled in a pool of mud last night..." she chuckled

I looked at her from head to toe...

She's wearing a gray hoodie and a white shorts and sneakers. I think she just came from outside. She put the cat down and lift up the plastic she's carrying a while ago to the kitchen table.
