“Woohoo…! JE Project, daebak!” a loud voice and the sound of hands clapping echoed around the café.

Jinyoung walked toward Eunji, who was standing behind the stand mic – before he grabbed her wrist and signaled her to bow together.

 “Thank you,” Eunji said in the microphone before she followed Jinyoung’s steps toward behind the stage.

Jinyoung and Eunji being a band's mate since they attended the same high school 3 years ago. And now, Eunji already at the 2nd grade in the university, while Jinyoung a year younger than her. They still active in their bands, JE Project, and every Wednesday, they regularly played in the café next to their campus. Eunji was being the singer, while Jinyoung played piano. Because of their beautiful harmonization in music, they gained enough popularity among the students in their university.

“Jinyoung oppa,” some of his fan girls were calling out his name, when both of them walked toward the parking area.

With a wide smile on his face, Jinyoung turned around to greet them. The fan girls were starting to yell in amazement as their idol came to approach them. Meanwhile, Eunji heaved a sigh and threw an irritated looks toward them. It was regularly happened, but she still feels annoyed by his flirtatious act. So, Eunji decided to walk toward his car first, leaving Jinyoung with his own world behind.

3 YEARS AGO

“I’m failed…” Eunji whispered sadly in the midst of her sobs as she walked through the corridor of the school. “It’s embarrassing… I’d already tried my best, but I’m still a failure…” the tears fell harder from her eyes.

She looked down while wiping the unstoppable tears from her cheeks. She kept looking down till she didn’t realize there was someone walked from the other side. Then, she bumped into that person till made all the books that the latter had brought fell into the floor.

“I-I’m sorry,” Eunji said while she quickly took all the books.

“It’s okay,” a manly nasal voice suddenly echoed, till made her looked up and sees the person that she had bumped into, was taking the all the books.

Eunji could not help but mesmerized as right in front of her, there was a handsome and tall guy. He had mono eyelid eyes, red lips while she also adoring his skin. He looked perfectly fine on her eyes.

“Done,” he said while the edge of his lips suddenly curving up, and once again, Eunji could feel her heart was beating strangely after seeing the adorable smile.

Instead of speaking, Eunji still stunned at her previous position till made him furrowed his eyebrows.

“Eunji sunbae, are you crying?” he asked.

“O-oh, n-no. I’m not crying,” Eunji immediately wiped her tears, before she shook her head.

The guy suddenly was staring at her deeply before he spoke out. “I don’t know what happened to you, but I think you need someone to talk to. Am I right?”

“Maybe you’re right… But, I don’t know who should I talk to since I don’t have any close friends in this school,” she shrugged and bitterly smiled.

“I’ll bring these books to the library first and please wait for me at the backyard, okay?” he said as he ran away toward the library.

“B-but, h-hey…” Eunji was about to calling him, but she just too late since the guy already far enough from her place.

“So tell me, what happened with you and the reason why you were crying earlier?” the guy with the cat smile kept his promise to meet her at the backyard of the school less than 10 minutes later.

“I…” Eunji looked at him in hesitation, because she realized that the guy was still being a stranger to her.

“Oh, I’m sorry for not introducing myself. I’m Park Jinyoung, I’m a year younger than you, sunbae,” he said while smiling.

“Park Jinyoung? The CEO of JYP Entertainment?” Eunji furrowed her eyebrow, and the latter suddenly burst into laughter.

“As I expected, you will say like that!” he said in the midst of his chuckle. “But don’t worry, our family didn’t related to each other.”

And her heart skip a beat again, blame his cute eye smile and his adorable face when he was smiling, it was a perfect one for her.

“How did you know my name? Did we ever meet before?”

He put his eye smile again and Eunji could only curse for the charm upon his smile.

“I saw you singing at the musical selection last week. And I admitted that you had a beautiful voice,”

Instead of smiling, Eunji’s heart was broken when Jinyoung had mentioned about the musical, since it was the reason why she was crying desperately earlier.

“What’s wrong with that face, sunbae?” Jinyoung realized her sudden changing expression. “I’m sorry if I say something wrong.”

“No, you’re not,” Eunji shook her head. “But you should know that I was failed to being chosen as the main actor at the musical,” she said sadly and looked down.

“Oh, I’m so sorry, sunbae…” Jinyoung bite his lower lips since he didn’t expect that he just made her sad again.

Eunji giggled as she saw his frowning expression.

“Ah, I thought I just said it repeatedly,” Jinyoung rubbed the back of his neck. “I’m sorry for being a fool here.”

Jinyoung blinked before he moved his gaze toward the eldest, then they burst into laughter together.

For some seconds, the awkwardness that Eunji felt earlier was gone. It didn’t need a long time for him to familiarize himself with her, though actually people could judge that they should feel strange to each other.
