Of course intelligent me just had to utter the most sensible thing in the world which made her facial expression jump from one to another. First, she stared disbelievingly to my face. Second, she squint her cat eyes to me in an unbelievably adorable way. Lastly, she laughed again on my stupidity.

Well, even if she’s laughing because of my stupidity at least she’s laughing because of me, right? Gosh, she’s damn beautiful when she laughs you know?

“…you’re really not engaged or in a relationship with some barnacle guy, right?” I asked shyly. Like a little girl asking her mom if she can really have another candy but in this case the stakes are higher.

“What will you do if I am?” she retorted with her raised eyebrows and a smirk.

What will I do? Well, I’ll wallow to darkness and will forever not eat tacos and burritos for life. I thought to myself half-jokingly. I honestly don’t know. I mean going back to my parents seems like a brighter thought than her being engaged to someone else.

When she probably noticed that her question must have dug deep to my core, “Stupid, I’m not married, engaged, promised, or in a relationship of some kind to a guy.” The amazing news brightened up my freaking life but then she exhaled quite a deep breathe, “I believe I’m seeing someone though.” She crossed her arms then looked at me with that cat eyes again.
