Hoya quickly finished changing and got ready to get out of the stadium when Woohyun and Sungyeol approached him.

“We're gonna go out for a couple of drinks to celebrate our first win. Wanna come with?” asked Woohyun.

Hoya hesitated.

“You should go.” Dongwoo said. “Have some fun. Knowing you, you'll probably just end up in front of the TV eating takeout.”

“What about you?” Hoya inquired.

“I'm taking Jihyo out for dinner. Who knows when I'll get to her again? She's got the bar exam coming up for I might not see her for weeks.”

“Sound like it's getting serious.” joked Sunyeol as he poked Dongwoo in the ribs.

“I think it is.” Dongwoo answered seriously.

“Wooo...You gotta admire a man that knows what he wants.” Woohyun added. “Which brings this conversation back to you, Hoya. You in?”

“Nah...I think I'll pass. Maybe next time.”

“Okay, if you change your mind you've got our numbers.” said Sungyeol as he walked away with Woohyun.

Hoya turned to Dongwoo. “Tell Jihyo I say “Hi.””

“You can come to dinner with us. I don't think she'll mind.”

“And be the third wheel? I'll opt of that awkward situation, thankyouverymuch.”

“Okay. Have it your way then. Don't wait up.” Dongwoo said as he waved goodbye.

“I never do.” Hoya replied with a smile.

Hoya dropped his keys on the kitchen counter, opened the fridge, grabbed a beer and settled down in front of the TV to watch the sports highlights.

“How did I end up living such a boring life?” Hoya asked himself.

He looked around the apartment that he and Dongwoo shared. There were various trophies on shelves they had managed to up. Laundry piled up in a corner of the room and there were unwashed dishes in the kitchen sink. As Dongwoo's relationship with Jihyo progressed, he spent less time at the apartment and more time at Jihyo's place. Sleepless nights spent playing video games seemed distant. Hoya was truly happy for his friend, but he couldn't help but feel a bit lonely at times.

“Forget this.” Hoya grabbed his phone and dialed Sungyeol's number. “I changed my mind. Where are you guys?”

I know it's taking a while for our main characters to meet each other, but it's coming very soon. ^_^
