"It's going to sting a little"

Young Saeng said as he carefully applied some ointment onto Hae Yeon's scraped arm after disinfecting it.

Despite her refusal, he had insisted to send her home after her statement was taken.
It was obvious she was still feeling insecure even though she tried to put on a brave front.

"Here, this should help you warm up and sleep better"

"Thanks. And I'm sorry you had to see me like this..."

"Yah… what are you talking about?"

"Ow..."

Young Saeng flicked Hae Yeon lightly on the forehead and ruffled her hair as she drank the milk.

"Do you have to work tomorrow?"

"There's a seminar that I need to attend.
It's already so late, you need to work too. You should get going…"

A sudden crash of thunder sent Hae Yeon into panic and she dropped the mug she was
holding onto the floor, breaking it into pieces.

"…"

"Are you ok?"

"S-sorry… I…"

Hae Yeon's POV
What's happening to me? 
I shouldn't be like this… I really shouldn't be...

Young Saeng held on to her trembling hands, feeling guilty for not being able to warn
her of the danger due to the confidentiality of his work. Her face had turned pale from the shock, 
and it didn't seem like she was going to be able to get over the incident soon.

"Everything's going to be all right, I'm here with you"

Young Saeng's POV
I should be the one apologizing for not being able to keep you out of harm…

"But…"

"It's ok, I'm off tomorrow. Don't worry about it"

"I'll clean up the -"

"No, just stay in bed"

"Young Saeng-ssi…"

"I'll be right back after clearing this"

He returned right after cleaning up to find Hae Yeon turning around in bed, unable to get to sleep.

"Do you need a bed time story?"

"I'm not a kid!"

Hae Yeon pouted at Young Saeng's teasing and turned around so that her back
was facing him, causing him to laugh at her reaction.

"Yah… are you angry?"

"…"

"Arasso. I'll leave then"

Young Saeng said teasingly and turned his back to leave. 

At that moment however, he felt a hand tugging at his and froze at the sudden touch.

"Don't... just a little while more…"

"I'll be right here, so don't worry any more"

His mind was in a complete mess as he watched the girl gradually fall asleep;
the girl who had swiftly and quietly made her way into his heart without him realizing until now.

Young Saeng's POV
No, I'm feeling this way only because of what happened.
I can't...

"Sorry I wasn't able to keep you out of harm..."

"Have a good rest on your day off!"

"Thanks!"

Hae Yeon waved to her colleague and began walking towards the bus stop, feeling relieved
that the seminar had ended on time and the sky wouldn't be too dark by the time she got home.

She was also feeling tired from the lack of rest from the night before, but it was thanks to Young Saeng
that she had even managed to fall asleep.

He ended up staying over to keep her company, and she was shocked to find him sleeping on the floor
against her bed in the morning.

"Thank you for last night. Hope you had a good rest back at home"

Her mobile phone began ringing almost immediately after she sent Young Saeng a text,
and to her surprise it was him who was calling.

"Young Saeng-ssi..."

"Has your seminar ended?"

"I'm now on my way home. Did you have enough rest?"

"Yes. You don't stop worrying about others, do you?"

"No… I mean… Thank you for last night…"

"How about having dinner with me to make up for it?"

"What would you like to have?"

"Look behind you"

"Behind me?"

Hae Yeon turned around to see Young Saeng a little behind, and she stopped for him to catch up.

"Did you happen to be around the area?"

"Shall we have dinner? There's a good restaurant nearby"

"Oh… but..."

"I'll send you home after dinner, let's go"
