Don't You Dare.
A Fan Fiction Writer's GuideOn Wattpad, I had gotten a comment on me correcting someone's grammar and they said, "Nobody cares about grammar. Have you seen the other stories?"
This scares me for the generations now and upcoming.
You should care about grammar because it is crucial throughout your entire life, whether it be in school, as a hobby writer, or even in a job resume. If you have improper grammar, you can kiss that job goodbye. And not to mention, if you want to be a writer, you better have correct grammar.
For example, if you have a great story idea, but terrible grammar while some other author has an equally fantastic story idea with nearly perfect grammar, which one do you think will be picked to be published?
Certainly not yours.
I'm sorry to be so harsh, but grammar is so important, I can even begin to explain in words.
In a school essay, you need proper grammar for a likeable grade.
For a job resume, you need proper grammar to show that you care about the job.
If you are a hobby writer posting on the internet (everyone here), you need proper grammar or else all of your readers will be cringing and most likely not continuing.
