It was almost midnight when Park Chorong stepped out from her mother’s car. She bid a goodbye along with a big yawn. As a delicate daughter she waited until the car went far and disappeared from her vision. A tired smile formed on her face, feeling exhaustion yet overwhelmed by the quality time she spent together with her mother.

Feeling enough she then turned around heading to the entrance door of her apartment. There was nothing lingered on her plan except having rest. She was waiting for elevator to reach her floor when she saw a familiar person walking into the building. Again her smile formed. She was about to call that person’s name yet another one had done it first.

“Eunji-ya!”

It was a male’s voice. She frowned, the dim light inside the building quite disturbing her not-that-good vision from seeing the coming person. He was standing in front of Eunji, bringing something –which looked like a hat. Chorong decided to walk closer to the entrance door to confirm the guy.

She then remembered that Eunji said she had a meet up with her Busan friends. Kang Seungyoon, the leader of Winner. She could come up with a name but she didn’t quite know his face. She needed to be closer. Her heart beat a little bit faster just by imagining a potentially bad thing between her member and that leader.

Yet as she got closer to the entrance door, the guy surprisingly looked quite familiar. Her eyes worked extra to clearly see the guy, who was now putting a snapback on Eunji’s head while saying something she couldn’t hear. With a long smile he patted her member’s head before walking backward while swinging his hand to the air, making a motion to Eunji. And Chorong wasn’t pleased at all.

Yes, she knew who owned that smile. It was a famous smile of a famous guy. And strangely that smile brought a vivid fear to this girl. She nearly couldn’t believe what she had seen just now. She couldn’t come up with  any reasonable theory of him being here, in front of their apartment, seemingly sending Eunji here, having patted her while smiling then leaving while waving his hand.

What was this?

“Jung Eunji!”

Oh yes. She was furious. She nearly couldn’t breathe from imagining things. Eunji though didn’t respond her call right away. The younger seemed muted frozen, realizing her presence.

“Eunji!” again she tried.

Eunji slowly turned around. Their gaze met under the dim lighting. She looked surprised. Yet she handled it fast as she decided to pass the big glass door which separating them.

“Eon …”

“Michosso?!” Chorong couldn’t help but cursing right away. The fear of her prediction was too strong that she needed to curse the younger.

Eunji though didn’t affect much by it. She only sighed, eyes lingered to the older. The two of them were clearly exhausted. And Eunji could see it on her leader’s eyes. That was way she decided to walk to the elevator, letting her leader follow her step behind.

“Ya! Do you know what you’re doing?!” Chorong’s voice sounded a little bit high.

The elevator opened, and Eunji stepped in first. She still had closed. She could imagine what Chorong’s thought. Yet spilling things here wasn’t a good decision.

“Shouldn’t you explain to me?! What was that? Why I’ve seen someone I shouldn’t have seen there?!”

“Eonni, it’s not like what your thinking?” Eunji eventually spoke up once they reached their dorm.

“I do wish it isn’t like what I’m thinking, but why it seems more like what I’m thinking?!”

Eunji sighed as she walked heading to their fridge, “Jiyong sunbae only sent me home.”

“Jiyong sunbae?” Chorong emphasized her tone while watching the younger drinking water from its bottle. “Ji, he is G-Dragon sunbaenim! Since when he became Jiyong sunbae for you?!”

Eunji emptied her bottle. She put it on the bin before facing her leader, eventually. She sighed looking at how Chorong seemed couldn’t be talked to right now. She believed Chorong wouldn’t take everything she said even if it was the truth.

“Can we postpone this until tomorrow?” Eunji proposed.

“YA!”

The thing that remained on Chorong was her glare and the frown. She hadn’t even put down her backpack. She was indeed tired but she couldn’t just leave this big thing escape.

It was understandable if that guy she had seen was Kang Seungyoon, or maybe other Winner members, or maybe other idols’ members which she knew the name. She maybe wouldn’t act like this if it was BTOB member, or B1A4 or Infinite or BAP or even EXO members. She believed she could bear it, after all she was also dating one of them. But it was different, totally different, hugely different. And she couldn’t help but felt scared.

Eunji was startled. She could see the fear on her eonni’s eyes. Yet she recovered fast. She understood what Chorong’s feel. She though wasn’t stupid. And that fear wasn’t something new for her too.

The younger heaved a deep sigh, trying to overcome the exhaustion. She formed a small smile while leaning her back to the dining table behind her.

“Are you dating him?” straight and bold, Chorong didn’t waste time.

Knowing her personality well, Eunji somehow expected for this question. Yet no word came out from her lips. She wished, she did wish she could answer that question even though it was a denial. But what were them, she didn’t even know.

“So, it’s not.” Chorong concluded fast. “Does he flirt on you?”

Eunji rose up her chin, meeting her eonni’s furious gaze. She could feel the hate through the way Chorong spoke. It was actually understandable, but the younger was affected too much. “He’s not that low eonni,”

“You sure?” Chorong challenged her. “Because I’m sure you don’t flirt. I know you well Eunji-ya,”

“It’s not like that eonni … Jiyong sunbae is not like what you’re thinking,”

Chorong groaned silently, “Eunji, please, can you stop calling his name like that? I feel so wrong just hearing it!”

The younger couldn’t help but hold her anger.

“Mianhae,”

Eunji’s voice was soft and sincere that it burdened the older more. She really didn’t like their talk but as a leader and an eonni she couldn’t run from her role. And it was tiring her. “Do you … like him?”

“Um,” surprisingly Eunji didn’t hesitate. And her honesty somehow softened her eonni.

“Eunji-ya, this is not gonna easy,”

“I know eonni,” she said strangely too calm for her own good, “that’s why I told you this isn’t like what you thought.”

The older sighed “Explain more so I understand,”

“It’s been two months ago since we met. And today is only our third meeting. At first I thought that day was only happened once. I didn’t expect for another occasion. Trust me, as much as you wish there was nothing happened I wish the same too,”

Her eyes, Eunji eyes weren’t at her. It was sad, yet she could see Eunji was trying to overcome it. There was certain thing that this leader didn’t understand. Yet she didn’t want to know. She felt so bad for the younger, but fact told her to be cautious, to take care of her members, to avoid the any mistake.

“Then cut it now!” cold and firm she said. It invited Eunji’s gaze. And it was startled enough.

“Let me tell you again, he’s G-Dragon eunji-ya. Someone who should have nothing between us. Why? Because it’s what normally be. You can befriend, or even date anyone, I won’t stop you, I will even support you, but him. Because I know, he will hurt you, not now maybe, not even intentionally, but I believe someday he will. I’m sure about this,”

She knew she was hurting the silenced girl in front of her. But she needed to, it was better like this rather than seeing one of her precious dongsaeng being wrecked someday.

“I know I’m being cruel right now. But this is how reality will treat you dongsaeng. And I don’t want to see you being down because of someone that doesn’t …”

“I know eonni. I know that, very well,” a faint smile formed on Eunji’s face. The older could see the pan through her gaze. Again, she hated being a bad guy here, but she believed Eunji needed a wake up call.

“It’s good then.” It wasn’t easy for Chorong too, but she needed to be this bold. “I don’t know how far you two. But I want you to cut it all. Stop meeting him, it’s the best for you.”

Eunji avoided her eyes while muttering a weak ‘um.’ Her gaze stayed at her cold hand which now was locking each other. Her leader was right. Even though it was hurt she believed it was better like this. She was hesitant and flustered before, that she ended up letting this uncertainty folded her. But as Chorong knocked her sense so hard, she woke up now.

Maybe because it was G-Dragon that she became so weak to wake up since the beginning. Maybe because it was someone she never dreamt of that she enjoyed the flattering moment between them too much. Maybe because he was a strong opponent that she let herself drowned in the cloudy feel she longed for. Maybe, it was true that she shouldn’t have met him that day.

Feeling so bad Chorong left the younger alone after muttering a sincere apology. And in her silence Eunji learnt that everything Jiyong and she did was only short flattering game. She was grateful though that it was only their third time together. And yes, she liked him, but she believed she could manage this tiny feel. At least she knew that Jiyong was way much better than her on handling this kind of feel, she was certain on this.
