Junhyung [Complicated]
ParadoxVI
“I’m sorry! What else do you want me to do?!” Hana screamed furiously.
“Love me! That’s all I wanted! Love! I loved you, and you gave me nothing,” he hissed.
“I told you! I warned you! And you didn’t believe me! I warned you for a reason, Junhyung!”
“You could have disappeared! I would have moved on!”
They both knew he was lying. “You wouldn’t have,” Hana said quietly, a sudden contrast to her shrieks from before.
“You’re right, I wouldn’t have,” he repeated, collapsing onto the couch. “If you had left, I don’t know what I would’ve done. Something drastic.”
“Just like I can’t love you, I couldn’t have left you,” she said softly.
“So you stayed and lead me on, like a lovesick puppy,” he accused her, his voice growing louder. “You took advantage of me! You just wanted the attention! I gave you everything, including my heart, and what do I get? Nothing!”
Every word stabbed into her heart and she watched her husband break down. “I had no choice. I couldn’t leave. The best I could do was to try make you happy, and if that meant moving in, being your girlfriend or your wife, then I would do it. And I did.”
“But the one thing we know that would have truly made me happy was love.”
“I’m sorry.”
“I know.”
