“Let’s play Truth or Truth!” Junhyung suggested one day.

“Sure. You start.”

“And we both have to answer as honestly as possible, right?”

“Yep.”

“Ok then. Do you love me?” he asked.

Immediately the anticipating expression on her face faded to a look of deep sadness and regret. “Not in the way you mean,” she said quietly. “I love you like a friend.”

“Alright,” he whispered. “Your turn.”

The mood was solemn as they asked each other deep and meaningful questions about their relationship.

“Do you regret marrying me?”

“Sometimes. I know that you’ll never love me, but I just want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

“Why didn’t we just stay roommates, then?”

“Because then you would technically still be single,” he answered, not caring that she’d ask two questions in a row. “And other guys would be looking at you, and I didn’t want that. You’re mine.”

His possessiveness made her wary. “Why did you agree to marry me if you didn’t love me?”

“I wanted to make you as happy as possible,” she replied, staring straight into his eyes. “Friendship…I was happy with that, but you weren’t.”
