It can’t be Taeyeon. It has to be someone else because she called me earlier telling me that she’s staying home to spend some family time today. I took a picture and left it as Jae Hee’s background picture. Then I took a picture of myself.

Jae Hee’s perspective

It was finally Saturday morning where I would start my daily routine.

Daily Routine

Wake up and brush my teeth/apply makeup- 7:00 to 7:30

Prepare breakfast: 7:35-8:00

Eat

Today is a bit different. I woke up later since it was a Saturday but did the same routine afterwards. After preparing breakfast, I made extra food for lunch later, rather than eating at the hospital cafeteria. Since, it’s expensive you know. I wake everyone up and we had our breakfast. I quickly changed and got ready when I got a text message.

Baekhyun: Ready? I’m coming over right now. See you soon!

Me: Yup. Come over now.

I dressed in casual clothing since I would be going there to wipe my appa with a towel anyways. So I’ll get messy.  For once I left the house with all of them and went into the elevator.

Ding, the doors open up.

“Oh, good morning, Jae Hee.” Taeyeon greeted me walking out of the elevator that we’ve been waiting for.

“Morning. You just came home?”

“Yes. I just came home. I’m a bit tired. Bye.” She hurried and left. She seems to be avoiding me a lot lately. Tiffany always was alone at night because Taeyeon always left for work and dating.

I got into the car and we drove quickly. Baekhyun always drove very fast which makes me nervous.

“Mind driving a bit slower? I’m a bit scared to ride in cars now as you know my parents nearing died from it.” I pledged.

“Hmm.” He gritted his teeth.

Well, we arrived at 11:00 sharp and I went directly to the room. The room was changed to a smaller room but he gets to stay there himself, thanks to Baekhyun for buying it for him.

I shyly thanked him. “Well, he’s an uncle kind to me. He took care of me really well when we’re younger, bought me a lot of food.”

“Keke. Your parents are nice to me too. But I guess my life changed so we’re different level people now.” I said in front of my appa who was lying still and quiet on the bed. Baekhyun seemed to be a bit uncomfortable.

“Soo Ah, Min woo.” He called for. “Want to buy all of us ice cream?”

“Ice cream?” Soo Ah who has been persuading to eat since last month, questioned.

“Here. Go buy some for us. Take your time please.” Baekhyun winked at her telling her to take a longer time.

I walked away and grabbed a small towel and small bucket. I soaked it in gently and felt the water was being too cold. I hurried and changed the water while he sat there and watched me half falling to sleep. This time the water was right but it was hard to wipe his body, since he was a man (and my appa). Also, I don’t talk to my appa often. He was a businessman who was always out. I only talked to my omma the most. I look at Baekhyun trying to ask for help.

“Eh, K.” He hurried and got up and s appa’s clothes. Gently he uses the towel and wipes his skin. I left because I didn’t want to see that kind of view. When I came back, he was finished already and sleeping head angle while sitting on the chair. His head jerks side to side slowly since he didn’t have a headrest to rest his head. Soo Ah and Min Woo were eating their ice cream while staying by his side. I should take some time and stay here since I didn’t visit my appa for a few weeks.

“Ring, ring,” my phone rang. It startled everyone.

 “Hello.” I whisper and walked out. I was very happy when I walked back in. I was hired back to the café shop where I got burnt by coffee a month ago. The café shop expanding into a restaurant as well so they need more people. To be honest, that place pays the best wage. But, the shift starts today at 1:00, so that may mean I have to skip the meeting.

Baekhyun’s perspective

Cleaning Jae Hee’s appa didn’t bother me. I felt thankful she gave me this job. It made me felt apart of them…

I walked out to find Jae Hee quite happy with the phone call. It was the manager that I instructed my sister-in-law to hire Jae Hee again. Wow, just it has to be on the day that I needed to work on the food project. Great, eh?

We drove in silence but Jae Hee kept fiddling with her fingers. It always indicated she has something she wants to say.

“Tell me what you want to say and stop fiddling with your fingers. It’s bothering me.” I spoke informally since the siblings are already dropped off at their friend’s house now.

“Ah, I think you probably overheard me. Anyways, I got a job which is every Saturday and Sunday 1:00-5:00, and Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-6. So I might need to cancel today’s… “

“Hm, okay. How did you know I overheard?”I curiously demand.

“You are the most pathetic person I’ve seen. Aren’t you driving me to that direct already? Hyemi’s is the other side. Dummy.”

Jae Hee’s perspective

I left the car and hurried inside. I was late already and I would probably be yelled by the manager again. Surprisingly, nothing happened. I was assigned to take orders and bring the food out.

“Jae Hee, please go to room #1 and just take order there instead.” My manager insists.

I knock the small private room before entering. Then when I enter, to my surprise it was Baekhyun.

“Yah, why are you eating here alone? Stop wasting so much money? Do you know how expensive these rooms are? It’s only for special guest.” I whisper hoping no one was around to hear me kick a customer out.

 “I am special. This is my sister-in-law’s restaurant. You’re supposed to only take my orders. So I would like two bubble tea, samyetang (chicken-ginseng soup), salmon sushi (5 pieces), pajeon (Korean-style pancake), and a daeji galbi (spicy grilled pork ribs).” He ramble super quick.

Oh my. What a spoil
