The next morning on Tuesday, I entered school slyly with a scarf wrapped around my neck and dark glasses over my eyes. Spotting Gongchan in the hallway, I scrambled up behind him and pulled him in a headlock, carelessly not noticing how much pain he was in until it was too late and he flinched away from me.

     Releasing my playful hold on him, I stared up at my friend in guilt, “Channie-ah… are you alright?” I asked, my expression becoming solemn, and I removed my goofy black sunglasses staring into his brown teary eyes.

     Gongchan hesitantly nodded his head, his eyes avoiding my own and staring down at the black and white tiled floor, “I’m fine.”

My eyebrows furrowed, but I decided not to push the topic any further, since my best friend looked really uncomfortable at the moment. I nodded and gently grabbed his wrist,  walking side by side with him to our first class of the day. We waited for the bell to ring as we sat in our seats, my head resting on my hand while I gazed at Gongchan who was preparing to take notes.

     My thoughts from the previous night and Yoongi, had been washed away by my worry of my poor friend and what was the problem troubling him. I twirled my mechanical pencil between fingers, only glancing up once the teacher entered the classroom with a male student I had never seen by her side.

     He wore the school uniform correctly, yet his pants were slacking really low and his blue striped tie was missing. His grey blazer was also ed all the way down and open, revealing his white long sleeved shirt that was messily not tucked into his pants, which went against school uniform rules. Gongchan hid his face in his textbook, pretending to study while I continued to survey the new student, ignoring my best friend’s odd behavior.

     The more I thought about it, the more the new guy reminded me about BTS, and I could read the word “TROUBLE” written all over him in big red letters. Yet I had to admit, the new guy was handsome, despite his intimidating and cold aura, with his perfectly parted black hair, small but charming eyes, and super tall height, he was definitely taller than that dwarf Yoongi, no doubt about it.

I intertwined my fingers together, closing my eyes and prayed that he too was not going to be a bully like that jerk, Min Yoongi!

“Class this is a new student that will be joining us, his name is Kim Ji Won! Please welcome him,” our teacher spoke, her eyes scanning the classroom for an empty seat.
